Thursday 6 March 2025
It gives me great pleasure to welcome our good friends from within the Haberdasher group of schools to another Fraser Bird Rugby 7`s competition. The history of the competition dates back to 1974 when Lt Colonel Fraser Bird, a former Master of the Haberdasher`s Company, presented the solid silver goblet for the first time to Hatcham College.
Since then, the competition has evolved to incorporate other schools from within the Haberdasher umbrella and it is good to see 6 of these schools represented today.
In an attempt to expose young students to the exciting game of rugby 7s, we will be running an U12 training session alongside the U13 and U15 competitions for the first time today and we hope that all participants, either in training or in the competition itself, will have an enjoyable day.
