Volunteer Check-In at Build Site

What you need to do when you get to the build site:

Arrive to the build site at 6:45 –7:00 a.m. Help setup the table –this will be delivered every morning by Habitat staff. Locate registration box –This should be on the provided table. Make sure EVERYONE has read the Safety Handbook. Make sure EVERYONE wears a nametag. Have ALL volunteers sign the daily sign-in sheet provided in the registration binder. File release forms in the provided 3-ring binder.

At the end of the day:

□ Help return tables and tent to designated storage container. □ Make sure volunteers are helping clean up tools, trash, and materials on the job-site. □ Return registration box to tool trailer. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE REGISTRATION BOX

HOME WITH YOU.

Registration Box:

The registration box will contain everything you need to check-in volunteers and create nametags. Helpful information and safety handbooks will also be included in the box.

Contents you can expect to find in the registration box:  Binder –with daily sign-in sheets, extra release forms, and incident reports  Pens  Sharpies  White Duct Tape –for nametags  Scissors  3-Hole Punch –for filing release forms in binder  Safety Handbooks

Please Note:

 All release forms and daily sign-in sheets will remain in your binder for the entire build.  Habitat will send your volunteers a “thank you” note and survey after the build. We will use this information to help us improve your volunteer experience.
