SHELL GADUS S2 A320 2 High Performance Multipurpose Extreme Pressure Grease Shell Gadus S2 A320 2 is a high performance multipurpose extreme pressure grease. It is a smooth textured, calcium based greases for industrial and marine applications at moderate temperatures requiring extreme pressure performance.

SHELL GADUS S2 V220 High Performance Multipurpose Extreme Pressure Grease Shell Gadus S2 V220 is Shell’s most popular grease. It is a full extreme pressure (EP), multipurpose grease that you can rely on to provide good wear protection and bearing life for your moderate- to high-speed bearings at moderate operating temperatures. It is widely recognized and listed by leading equipment makers.

LONG GREASE LIFE Shell Gadus S2 V220 is designed to help you to operate your equipment for longer. It gives up to 39% longer bearing life.

DESIGNED TO PROTECT Shell Gadus S2 V220 can help to provide EP protection for bearings, as it passes the four-ball weld load test at 315 kg (ASTM D 2596 test method), which exceeds the 250-kg minimum weld load that a grease must pass to be classified as having good load-carrying properties (ISO 6743-9).

DESIGNED FOR SYSTEM EFFICIENCY Shell Gadus S2 V220 has good mechanical stability, as it meets the German steel industry requirement (SEB 181 253) of less than a 40-dmm change in consistency after 100,000 work strokes (DIN ISO 2137 test method).

SPECIFICATIONS AND APPROVALS Shell Gadus S2 V220 meets the requirements of a wide range of industry bodies and equipment manufacturers. It is available in NLGI grades 00, 0, 1, 2 and 3. Grades 00, 0 and 1 are suitable for centralised dispensing systems and gearboxes. Meets requirements ASTM D4950 – 08 LB Shell Gadus S2 V220 greases have been formulated to offer resistance to water wash-out.  Oxidation Stability Specially selected base oil components have excellent oxidation resistance. Their consistency will not alter in storage and they withstand high operating temperatures without hardening or forming bearing deposits.

SHELL GADUS S2 V220AD 2 GREASE High Performance Multipurpose Grease With Solids Shell Gadus S2 V220AD 2 Greases (Former Name Shell Alvania HDX2) are high performance grease for the lubrication of bearings subjected to the harsh conditions.

They are based on high viscosity index mineral oil and a mixed lithium/calcium soap thickener and contains extreme-pressure, anti-oxidation, anti-wear, anti-corrosion and adhesion additives. It also contains solids to provide resistance to shock loading.

APPLICATIONS Shell Gadus S2 V220AD Greases are recommended for the lubrication of shock loaded heavy duty bearings working in damp hostile conditions. They are well-suited for use in off highway applications and also for the lubrication of fifth wheels.

MOBIL TAC 375NC GREASE Open Gear Lubricant Mobiltac 375 NC are extra high performance non-leaded, diluent-type, heavy-bodied open gear lubricants designed for a wide variety of open gear and mining applications. They contain a non chlorinated, volatile solvent that ensures fluidity during application, even at low temperatures.

Once applied, the diluent evaporates and the lubricants take on a flexible, adhesive, high strength consistency that is maintained throughout their service life. Mobiltac 375 NC and 275 NC adhere strongly to gear teeth and other machine elements to resist excessive throw-off. They provide a wear-resistant, viscous, continuous film that lubricates well under boundary conditions.

APPLICATIONS Mobiltac 375 NC, containing a high-viscosity base oil, is recommended for the lubrication of highly loaded open gears, including those that operate at high temperature, for example, ring gears on cement kilns and large gears on ore-processing mills.

MOBIL MOBILARMA™ 798 Wire Rope Rust Protective Lubricant Mobilarma 798 is a premium performance, oil-based rust preventive intended to serve as a wire rope lubricant and to prevent rust and corrosion under application and storage conditions. It is used in industrial, mining, and marine applications. Mobilarma 798 has excellent film forming properties and is of grease-like consistency. Its tenacious film protects wire ropes from the corrosive tendencies of salt spray and moisture-laden atmospheres. It resists throw-off in high-speed service and adheres without being tacky or stringy. On application, Mobilarma 798 becomes transparent enabling treated ropes to be visually inspected. The film is self-healing and does not chip.

APPLICATIONS Mobilarma 798 can either be applied as received by brush or swab, or by spray, dip, or bath if the product is first heated to 65ºC to 80°C in a well ventilated area. For best results, only a thin coat should be applied.

New cables or cables regularly maintained with Mobilarma 798 will require no prior preparation. For best results, rusty or dirty wire ropes should be wire brushed and cleaned thoroughly with solvent and dried prior to application of Mobilarma 798.

TOTAL CERAN AD PLUS GREASE Extreme-Pressure Water Resistant Calcium Sulfonate Complex Grease Total CERAN AD PLUS Grease is an extreme-pressure water resistant calcium sulfonate complex grease.

APPLICATIONS CERAN AD PLUS is a adhesive heavy duty grease designed for use on slide rails, metal cables, wire ropes, winches, small open gears and chains working under severe circumstances.

CERAN AD PLUS is used in marine applications, cement works, mines and quarries, ports (e.g. travelling cranes) off shore, and other “heavy� industry applications.

CERAN AD PLUS is adapted for the static protection of spare parts.

CERAN AD PLUS can be applied by hand with a brush or other adapted tool. For an optimal lubrication and performances, keep the applying tools as clean as possible.

CASTROL SPHEEROL SX 2 CALCIUM GREASE Calcium Complex Grease Spheerol SX 2 is a complex calcium sulphonate grease providing superior performance benefits in the highly aggressive conditions experienced in the marine environment.

APPLICATION Spheerol SX 2 is a true multipurpose ship machinery lubricant, specifically developed to provide enhanced lubrication and protection for bearings, wire ropes and open gears usually found in marine environments.

Spheerol SX 2 is suitable for most journal bearings, wire ropes and open gears used in marine deck equipment and can be considered for roller, ball and needle bearings generally used in engine room equipment.

In addition to the excellent protection provided for wire ropes and open gears, Spheerol SX 2 is also suitable for use on a wide range of deck equipment where it will protect and lubricate hinges, turn-buckles, screws, fair leads etc.

For multipurpose applications a grease gun may be used with Spheerol SX 2. Alternatively traditional application methods, can also be used for wire ropes and open gears.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Whilst traditional ways of applying grease on wire ropes can be utilised, use of a proprietary pressurised grease applicator in accordance with manufacturer's instructions may assist in applying the appropriate quantity of grease and may also help to protect the core of the wire rope.

CASTROL BIO TAC MP GREASE Environmentally Responsible Multipurpose EP Grease Castrol BioTac MP Grease is an environmentally responsible multipurpose EP grease.

BioTac MP is an environmentally responsible, multipurpose EP grease based on a combination of Lithium Complex thickener technology, biodegradable base oil and an optimised performance additive system to impart corrosion protection, oxidation stability and load carrying capability. The inclusion of polymer technology enhances the adhesive properties of the grease, improving water resistance and thus reducing the potential for contamination of both the open deck and the marine environment.

APPLICATION BioTac MP has been developed primarily for use on exposed marine deck applications and combines excellent physical properties that enable resistance to both mechanical shear and water spray-off with an additive system developed to protect exposed components from corrosion, oxidation and the effects of load, friction and wear.

BioTac MP is intended for use in a wide range of applications including plain bearings, wire ropes and open gears typically found in marine mooring and cargo winches. Furthermore, ramp door bearings, pedestal bearings and cargo hatch rollers are also examples of slow/medium speed marine deck applications for which BioTac MP is ideally suited.

The combination of thickener and base oil technology enables BioTac MP to have a broad operating temperature range of between -35C and +125C.
