MEMORIAL & DEDICATION The Notre Dame of Batavia Hockey family wishes to honor the life, memory and contributions of

TOM BRINKWORTH Tom passed unexpectedly on September 11, 2017 at the age of 55. From the time Tom’s oldest son Trevor, followed closely by his second son Parker, started playing hockey as a Batavia Rampart in the early nineties, Tom was an avid and enthusiastic supporter of the local hockey community. Tom was supportive of all players, coaches and teams and fulfilled many roles. He was a GAHA Team Manager and Board Member, as well as a Notre Dame Booster, scorekeeper and fundraiser. Trevor was one of Marc Staley’s first assistants (2007-09) and Parker was a varsity player on the ND Hockey team (2012-14). Notre Dame Coach Marc Staley remembered Tom in this way: “He was just a tremendous hockey father. Tom always supported his sons and was always positive. He was always very supportive of the coaching staff. Even after Parker graduated in 2014, Tom continued to support the program. Tom helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for Notre Dame Hockey and the school.” Tom leaves behind his wife of 34 years Lisa (DeMaio), daughter Gillian, sons Trevor and Parker, his two beloved grandchildren Brock and Quinn, and countless friends. Lisa Brinkworth shared these thoughts: “Tom so loved ND! He had great respect for Marc Staley and Mike Reich as coaches. He was so proud that Trevor was one of Marc’s first assistants and Parker later played for the team. He loved working concerts to raise money for Notre Dame and GAHA team, and he really enjoyed all the people and families he got to know. It would humble him to know that they thought so much of him that they would honor him in this way. Some of the happiest moments of Tom’s life were centered around GAHA and Notre Dame Hockey.”
