Helping Young Women To Manage Their Periods! When it comes to managing periods, many women are left out of the loop and struggle to find the correct information. As for menstrual cramps, heavy bleeding and irregular period pains, some women never get the medical help they need. Female gynaecologist Bella Vista provides resources to help women manage their period in an easier way.

What is a Menstrual Cycle? A menstrual cycle is a regular pattern of bleeding and cramping that occurs on average every 28 days. The average cycle lasts about 4 weeks, but can differ from person to person. There are 3 phases in a menstrual cycle: the follicular phase, the ovulatory phase, and the luteal phase. The follicular phase is when the egg is released from the ovary. The ovulatory phase is when the uterus releases an egg. The luteal phase is when the egg becomes fertilized by a sperm and becomes attached to the uterine wall. There are many ways for young women to manage their period symptoms, including using tampons, pads, or menstrual cups. You can also talk to your doctor about any other treatments that may work better for you.
