Hundreds of 12Stone Church members in Snellville and Braselton will go to services on Sunday like they do every week, but this week in particular will be different. This week, those church members will have something to celebrate. They’ll have popcorn to munch on and there will be a buzz in the air around both campuses. The congregants will enjoy a new birth, or rather a new beginning for their church during services held at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. “We’re absolutely excited and that excitement comes from our desire to be a force for good in the community,” Braselton campus pastor Dan Vander Wal said. Mewborn is making the grade in the classroom, where she’s spent the past six years teaching reading and writing skills to teenagers, and on the barbecue circuit, where the Lawrenceville resident is in contention to become one of the country’s best female pitmasters.
