A Lawrenceville mother accused of trying to scam her mentally disabled son out of his trust fund has turned herself in, but Gwinnett police are still trying to find the son. Yvonne Longmire surrendered to law enforcement on Friday afternoon. She is accused of presenting an imposter named Maurice Ford as her son to Probate Court Yvonne officials and a physician Longmire in a bid to get access to a trust fund that belongs to her son, Lee Longmire. The son’s whereabouts remain unknown. “The exact whereabouts or condition of Lee Longmire is still unknown,” Cpl. Wilbert Rundles said. “Yvonne and her attorney, Robert Brooks, claim that Lee

It’s a question Sean Willingham is fighting as hard as the beasts he’s ridden for more than two decades. choice — injuries take them out. Whenever it’s time, it’s time. It depends.” Depends on what? Well, that’s when Willingham, a 37-year-old native of Summerville, located about 90 miles northwest of Atlanta, struggles to find an answer as to when to call it a career to the only fulltime he’s had. He’s had his share of glory — 32 career wins and more than 240 top-10 finishes since 2003 — but also his share of pain, as evident by having suffered

a cracked skull, broken neck, busted ribs, surgically repaired knees, busted wrists and a torn groin that have sidelined him at times. He’s also enjoying one of his better stretches in the past few seasons, having logged two top finishes and two top-15 showings since the turn of the year. He entered the month ranked 24th in the world — a ranking he’ll look to improve when he competes in the Professional Bull Riders Tour’s U.S. Border Patrol Invitational at Infinite

person to announce a run for the seat in next year’s election. Hunter, who has faced a couple of controversies — including calling U.S. Rep. John Lewis a “racist pig” on Facebook — during his current term, has not officially announced whether he will seek another term. But while Wilson said a controversial incident

between Hunter and two Hall County sheriff’s deputies during fallen Officer Antwan Toney’s funeral procession in October was the final impetus to push him into the race, he said it is not the only reason why he is running for the seat. “Over the years, I’ve sat back and watched how things in our area are just not being taken

in our district, and that goes from Snellville all the way up to Braselton.” Wilson, who sat down with the Daily Post on Thursday for an exclusive interview to announce his bid for office, said there is a special significance in choosing today to launch his campaign for the District
