For the past year, a missing teenage girl has allegedly been living as a prisoner in an unsuspecting middle-class Duluth neighborhood, where she was reportedly made
to perform sexual favors in exchange for food. “She was confined in an upstairs bedroom and told she’d be arrested if she left,” according to additional information in a warrant. Hailey Burns, 17, finally left that upstairs bedroom when FBI agents and detec-
tives found her Saturday night. But it was Duluth resident Michael Ren Wysolovski, 31, who was arrested. Burns has been missing since May 2016, when she vanished from her home in Ballantyne, N.C. At the time, Burns’ father told local news outlets that she left a diary
behind detailing her plans to run away with an older man she’d met online. “He gradually wormed his way into her good graces,” Anthony Burns told WBTV Charlotte. “He coerced her into listening to him and not

For at least three years, maybe four, Hudson Everett has considered a career in game design, and each year he adds a little more experience. The 10-year-old from Gainesville is in his second year attending Kids 4 Coding summer camps, and this week at Gwinnett Technical College, Hudson called it “very enjoyable.” The camp is put on by Kids 4 Coding, a Roswell-based technology education company that has grown in reach and numbers of campers now in its fourth summer. The camp is offered in Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, Roswell, Dunwoody and Cambridge, Mass. for seven weeks at Lesley University. About 1,100 kids ages 8

really enjoy it,” Hudson said, before saying that the “Minecraft” portion of the camp is especially fun because, “everyone likes ‘Minecraft.’” “After my
camp last year, I did some stuff on my own and it really helped. … That’s what it’s really about. See CODING, Page 6A
For the second straight summer, a Buford couple reported a bear sighting in its backyard. This time, the uninvited guest likely stayed overnight. Bruce and Carole Zavitz, who live between Gary Pirkle Park and Lake Lanier east of Suwanee MORE ONLINE Dam Road Visit gwinnettdailypost.com for video from the backyard. on the edge of the Sugar Hill line, said they first noticed the bear, which they estimated to be about 5 to 6 feel tall, and at least a couple hundred pounds, at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. By 6 a.m. Tuesday, it was again spotted in their backyard and they were unsure if it stayed overnight. The bear tore down a bird feeder and appeared to lick some of the birdseed out of it. Department of Natural Resources spokeswoman Melisssa Cummings said it is not unexpected for eastern black bears to be out and about and visible in non-traditional places like residential backyards. Cummings said it’s likely it is a young male who has moved on from its mother and trying to establish its own territory. “They’re certainly not looking for us, but are more than willing to look for a free buffet,” Cummings said. Cummings said she was concerned that the bear appeared comfortable in the backyard because the bear at one point held its snout up and might have caught a whiff of nearby vegetables growing in the backyard. It was still in the backyard See BEAR, Page 6A
