be some uncertainty as to whether Hunter’s comments, including calling U.S. Rep. John Lewis a “racist pig” and referring to Democrats as “Demonrats” and “Libtards,” would meet that threshold. “The decision is not quite final yet, but it does not look like we will be pursuing a

recall of Mr. Hunter,” Okoye told the Daily Post in an email. “The grounds/basis for a recall is not very solid.” Okoye’s comments raise further questions on what will happen next in the Hunter saga now that the Board of Commissioners publicly reprimanded him for his remarks on social media. A

The only Peachtree Road Race Marilyn Rushin ever thought about quitting was her first one. Forty years ago. In 1977, she was at family Easter gathering and saw an ad for the seventh annual Fourth of July 5K in the newspaper. “I said, ‘Oh, I might do this,’” Rushin said.

Her brother scoffed. “When he told me I couldn’t run six miles, I had to show him,” Rushin said with a delighted laugh. “So that’s how it started.” Rushin was 33 years old with two kids, Brandon and Tennille, not yet old enough for school. “I had started just jogging in
