LAWRENCEVILLE — By celebrating a milestone and moving into a new phase of its history, Georgia Gwinnett College continues to evolve as an institution. In some ways, that means adding a 15th bachelor’s degree in environmental science, which has concentrations in natural science and social science. charge up to eight electric cars across campus. “We’re trying to do things to be more efficient, effective,” said Laura Maxwell, vice president for business and finance/CFO. “There’s just so much that we’re
doing.” One main addition underway is construction on a 54,300-square-foot, $14 million addition connected by a walkway to the C building that will more than double its space and feature three floors to accommodate 16 classrooms and 104 offices. It’s slated to open in fall 2016 and include space for a tutoring center and support services. Those additions have come as the student body has grown and brought with it additional clubs and organizations across campus. See GGC, Page 8A
