Gwinnett County police are looking for any additional victims who may have been assaulted by a College Park Uber driver who is accused of raping a 16-year-old girl. On Thursday, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 58-yearold Abdoulie Jagne, who Gwinnett County Police Department detectives say raped his Uber passenger Abdoulie in the early morning hours Jagne Monday. Cobb County court records obtained by the Daily Post show the College Park resident previously pleaded guilty for battery and simple assault-family violence, as well as cruelty to children. Even if Duluth officials were unsure about asking George Rogers if he’d like to be the first person to drive on a new road bearing his name Thursday morning, there was no hesitation on his part. Mayor Nancy Harris broached the idea with the former Duluth High School football standout, who also won the Heisman Trophy at the University of South Carolina and was a Super Bowl champion with the Washington Redskins. He was quick with his answer. “I’d love to be the first person to drive on this road,” he said. Rogers, who now lives in Columbia, S.C., joined Duluth officials Thursday for the ribbon-cutting of George Rogers Avenue.
