Woman shot, killed at Duluth apartment FROM STAFF REPORTS Gwinnett Police officers were on the scene of a homicide along the 2300 block of Club Place in unincorporated Duluth. Authorities said that an adult woman was found shot dead at the Landmark at Bella Vista Apartment Homes off of Satellite Boulevard on Tuesday morning in what appears to be a domestic-related incident. burn’s National Night Out event, an annual community-building campaign that promotes policecommunity partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event, which is now in

its ninth year, brought dozens of city and state law enforcement agencies to the Pleasant Hill Road mall to interact with community members of all ages, races and religions. And, as in past years — last year, Lilburn’s National Night Out was ranked No. 22 among small cities nationwide that held the event — the evening was a success, said Lilburn Police Chief Bruce Hedley. “It was another banner year,” Hedley said. “The good thing is, putting it over here at the plaza, we were able to expose ourselves to more of the Hispanic community, which is important because the Hispanic community is a big part of Lilburn.
