A Loganville mother accused of stabbing her husband and four children to death last July pleaded not guilty to the crimes in court Monday morning

R.D. Head Elementary School teacher Doug Doblar was announced as one of 10 finalists for the 2019 Georgia Teacher of the Year award by State Superintendent Richard Woods on Tuesday. Doblar was previously selected as the 2018 Gwinnett County Public Schools Teacher of the Doug Doblar Year and received the school district’s Elementary School Teacher of the Year award. The educator of 15 years is well traveled and experienced, having started off as a long-term high school substitute teacher before becoming a middle school teacher, college educator and technology coordinator with GCPS before settling at R.D. Head Elementary School as a fourth- and fifth-grade math and science teacher in 2015. “I was really honored when I was named as the school Teacher of the Year for R.D. A second brewery is coming to Lawrenceville — and it won’t be too far away from the first one. Lawrenceville officials and Beer Republic Brewing LLC announced the company will move into a 56,000-square-foot space at 394 N. The brewery is expected to bring 50 new jobs to Lawrenceville over the next five years, according to Lawrenceville officials. For a time, a few on Twitter reported that Nicole DiMercurio was Canadian. Before it was corrected, another post followed with what a great day it was for Canadian running. It may have been, but it was even better for the American women. And for Gwinnett County running. part of seven Americans in the top eight finishers who gutted out a race in miserable rain, cold and gusting wind. “I know there are some people in Gwinnett who ran out in Boston on the same day, and honestly even toeing the line that day was an accomplishment in itself,” DiMercurio said Tuesday while on a well-deserved vacation to Ireland. “I was stalking the weather about two weeks out from Boston and I started getting frustrated as the chance of rain and wind steadily increased as race day got closer. I was in the best shape of my life, and I wanted a time that reflected that more than anything. “As race day approached, I spoke with my coach and he made it clear that this was
