Antoinette Brown Blackwell Society of Henrietta Announces 2017 ABB Woman of the Year By Shirley Wallace Catherine McCabe came to the Rochester area from Long Island in 1964 and to Henrietta in 1967. She attended Long Island Agricultural and Technical Institute and has taken business and seminar courses at Monroe Community College and Rochester Institute of Technology. Catherine owned a small business, DINA Enterprises, where she was an organizational and management specialist. Catherine has contributed much to the Rochester area and Henrietta in particular. She retired from the Henrietta Town Board in 2011 after serving for eighteen years. She is currently serving as co-chair of the town’s Bicentennial Planning Committee. Catherine was the first woman president of the Henrietta Kiwanis and remains a member of the board of directors. She has been a member of the board of directors of the Rochester Council of the Navy League of the

United States and was the only woman on the board in 1993 when she was sworn in. Her volunteer and leadership roles include participation in the Rush-Henrietta PTA, Young Women’s Christian Association, the R-H Youth Hockey Association, and the Henrietta Community Council. The Antoinette Brown Blackwell Society is proud to recognize Catherine McCabe for the many ways she strived to make our community what it is today.
