JULY 16 - 20
JULY 15-19, 2025
Welcome to the 2025 Hemlock “Little World’s” Fair. We take pride in sharing our agricultural heritage and showcasing the best Livingston County has to offer. Tuesday has been designated ‘Agriculture Day,’ with a full schedule of exciting events. There is a lot of activity in front of the Grandstand! Our Fair always begins with Sire Stakes Racing; post time is 11am this year. The Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol Competition begins at 3pm, followed by a Rodeo at 7pm. Visit the 4-H/ Grange building to see the 4-H displays and demonstrations, and, of course, the livestock barns will be full.
We strive to provide the most affordable family-friendly entertainment and education to the surrounding communities. Our pay-one-price admission includes parking, rides, free shows, bands and Grandstand events. The Ultimate Air Dogs Dock Diving show, MythiCreatures Dragons, and Party Animals Petting Zoo are sure to be a hit! KidZone provides fun for the youngsters with new games and activities. There is something for everyone at the Hemlock Fair with events, exhibits, and entertainment. Thank you for attending the Hemlock “Little World’s” Fair and making it part of your summer fun! We are sure you will have a wonderful time.

Two words that can never be said enough… Thank You! In the mad dash to prepare for the Fair - get bills paid and work done, contracts signed, supplies ordered, and much more – it is sometimes easy to overlook these two little words. The sentiment is there, but too many things seem to take priority, and they never get said. As an all-volunteer organization, we depend on the support of our members, local businesses and organizations to assist us in making the Hemlock Fair possible. It is important to recognize the workers, sponsors, and supporters who help to make our Hemlock “Little World’s” Fair a success each year.
Most fair-goers don’t know what is required to present the Hemlock Fair each year. One day the fairgrounds are empty, then almost magically, the Fair begins! Much of the work is obvious, when you see our well-maintained historic buildings and grounds full of fun and excitement during Fair week. Most of the work is ‘behind-the-scenes,’ with volunteers doing the work that often goes unseen. Hundreds of hours are required to organize events and entertainment, solicit vendors, coordinate schedules, update our website, social media and advertising, purchase supplies, handle finances, sign contracts, and much more. Thank you to our members and volunteers for all the work you do – it is truly appreciated!
We also owe a big Thank You to the local organizations and businesses that help to support the Hemlock Fair. With the generous donations of goods, services and financial support from our Sponsors, we are able to continue to improve and grow each year. Our First Responders are an important part of the Fair as well, by providing the safety and security necessary to maintain a family-friendly event. Special thanks to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and the Hemlock Fire Department for coordinating these efforts.
We appreciate all the efforts of everyone involved in assisting us in presenting the 2025 Hemlock “Little World’s” Fair. Without your generosity and support, our Fair would not be the great success it is today! Two words that mean so much and can never be said enough…
Thank you!

The new KidZone at Hemlock ”Little Worlds” Fair was a great success last year! Geared mainly towards ages 3-10, the kids really enjoyed the Treasure Hunt, Scavenger Hunt and Farmer’s Relay. Each child earned prizes for their events! The child’s Scavenger Hunt pamphlet was a coloring booklet, and the youth booklet asked several fun facts about the Fair. There were also agriculture themed coloring pages for the young ones to enjoy. Thank you to our 2025 Sponsors: Thompson Builds, Joyce E. Davies Associates, and Twister’s Ice Cream. This year looks to be even more fun as we hope to add a duck pond, a new relay event and other new activities! We can’t wait to see all the youngsters as their families cheer them on in the Treasure Hunt, Farmer’s Relay, and other activities, or help them on their Scavenger Hunt!

The Wednesday night Demolition Derby brings us several new formats, creating an opportunity for a more diverse group of participants. Younger drivers are being offered a ‘Youth’ heat, as well as heats for 16 – 21 year olds. A powder-puff heat will bring out the best female drivers to ‘show the guys how it’s done!’ A ‘Team’ derby event will allow 3- or 4-car teams to battle it out in the pit with stock or limitedweld cars.
Saturday Matinee Demolition Derby starts at 4:30 pm. Offering Stock Compact, Mid-size, and Full-size heats, there is something for everyone. The smash’em and crash’em action will be thrilling! The Figure-8 race, and Crazy Driver heats are always fan favorites! The limited-weld class will be offered again this year. Our Hemlock Fair Derbys are known as the best around! All derby events are run and judged by Hemlock Fair. Pre-registration is required – details will be posted on our website soon (hemlockfair.org).

"Quality Service at Reasonable Rates"
Join us at the Hemlock Fairgrounds on Tuesday, July 15th for a day of agriculture and animals! In recognition of our roots, the Fair is dedicating Opening Day to all things Agricultural. Following a long-standing tradition, our Fair will start with NY Sire Stakes Racing with post time at 11am. Harness racing at Hemlock offers an opportunity for promising young horses to earn as they start their careers in the Sire Stakes. The Mounted Patrol Competition takes the track at 3pm, hosted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. Units from around the surrounding counties compete and tune up their skills on an obstacle course designed to mimic real-life scenarios. Finally, a long-awaited fan favorite returns as we host Cross Over The Line Rodeo at the Grandstand! Exciting action including bronc and bull riding, roping, and barrel racing will keep the audience on the edge of their seats! Be sure to check out the livestock barns and 4-H competitions as well. The Hemlock Fair got its start in agriculture nearly 170 years ago, please join us to celebrate our heritage on Opening Day!
Volunteer puppy raisers prepare puppies for guide dog training. People of all ages have been successful puppy raisers. Raisers bring puppies into their homes to care for and help them become confident, relaxed, and well-mannered in all settings, and to begin learning the skills a future guide dog needs. Puppy raisers work closely with the Regional Team during their 12 to 18-month puppyraising journey. The young adult dogs then return to Guiding Eyes training staff for harness training.
Puppy raisers take pride in knowing they have done something special. All their hard work culminates when a person who is blind or visually impaired receives their priceless gift − a guide dog providing independence, companionship, and mobility.
Please contact a Guiding Eyes Region Coordinator for more information.

Dock diving showcases the athletic abilities of a variety of dogs as they run down a dock and fly into a pool to retrieve a toy thrown by their handler. The jumps are called “SPLASHES” and each dog gets two chances to jump as far as they can. The distance is judged from the end of the dock nearest the waters’ edge, to the base of the dog’s tail. The current record for distance jumping is over 36 feet. While we may not see records set at the Fair, a good time will be had by everyone! What is better on a hot summer day than a splash of cool, refreshing water?!? Come join us for the fun!
