The Lobit Education Village

The Lobit Education Village is organized around a central courtyard for connected, outdoor learning space. The site shares an elementary School and middle school with fully accessible facilities; examples include a kitchen and cafeteria. During normal operations, each school has its own cafeteria. However, when joined together, the site will gain a large multi-purpose facility with a centrally located stage. Other shared space consists of a centrally located library to provide maximum collaboration and adaptable learning spaces between students and staff. By maximizing opportunities for multi-use flexible space, the District experienced significant financial savings.

HISD - Bellaire HS Re-build

To be built in several phases. The design concept is based around a “Student Main Street”, featuring a direct connection to the campuses centralized multi-purpose courtyard space. Two major lobby spaces bolster both ends of the “Main Street”, one serving as the auditorium lobby and public entrance, and the other to serve as the sports lobby and student entrance. The academic wing of the building will feature three stories of learning communities, consisting of collaborative spaces for students and faculty, core academic learning centers, science lab space, career and technology learning, and a serving line on the first floor for cafe style engagement.
