A very warm, Fringey welcome to Guildford Fringe Festival 2022!

We are calling this the “come back year” but to be honest, we’ve not really been away! It sounds good anyway, so we are sticking with it.

This year we are back to normal though in terms of the number of events we have for you to enjoy, we have over 100 across 23 days!

It’s an exciting year in many ways, a wonderful Festival line-up as well as opening our own venue, The Fallen Angel. The Fallen Angel is Guildford’s only Cocktail and Cabaret bar and we really hope you can pop in during the festival and be one of the first to try us out.

We would both like to thank our WONDERFUL Friends of the Fringe who seem to stand by us through thick and thin and we adore them all for that. We’d also like to thank this year’s sponsors, Unigold, Experience Guildford, Kelly’s Storage and Churchmill Accountants.

So, we have the most wonderful line up of events for you, ticket prices have been kept low and we are all desperate to get out and have a laugh… we are VERY ready for you! Schubert’s inventive yet delicate music impressed renowned baritone Johann Michael Vogl during their first meeting in 1817. The pair went on to amass great popularity through private concerts they presented across Europe. In this intimate concert Clinton and Fraser will perform some of Schubert’s more rarely performed music replicating a snippet of Schubert and Vogl’s journey together.

Grimm’s Sweary Tales takes four famous stories by The Brothers Grimm and features some amazing hand-made puppets, some pretty good puppetry, some passable acting, and probably a lot of bad language. Definitely for the immature grown-up and undoubtedly silly, you won’t see anything else like it.

Café de Swing is a quartet that plays melodic jazz inspired by the gypsy guitarist Django Rheinhardt and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France, mixed with gentle bossa novas. The quartet is made up of clarinet, two guitars and bass guitar.

This promises to be a afternoon of relaxing music with the intimacy of a Parisian café.
