The Day! Faye and James had a beautiful rustic wedding at barn venue Swallows Oast in East Sussex. The venue was so gorgeous that it didn’t need much in the way of decor. Instead, the couple chose a colour scheme of dusky pinks, nudes and white for a rustic feel. For the meal, guests enjoyed a baked garlic and rosemary camembert for starter, and Parma ham-wrapped chicken breast, braised fillet of beef or vegetable tartlet for their main. For dessert, guests could choose from warm chocolate brownie with salted caramel sauce, banoffee pie with toffee ice cream and treacle sponge with custard. “The food was utterly stunning,” says Faye. “All the guests said it was incredible!” For the evening entertainment, Faye and James hired a live swing band with an amazing singer, who kept everyone dancing. What types of wedding marquee are there? Wedding marquees come in all different shapes, sizes and styles, which are all much more luxurious than your average camping tent! Just a few examples include frame marquees, traditional marquees, Chinese hat marquees, stretch tents, bell tents or tipis.
What size should my wedding marquee be? This depends on how much space you have, guest numbers and what you’re using your marquee for. The size will vary, for example, from a standing buffet to a dinner seated at tables and will increase again if you require room for dancing.

The Day! Lauren and Adam tied the knot at East Horton Golf Course, a beautiful venue nestled in acres of stunning countryside and woodland in Hampshire. The venue’s simple charm, wooden beams and rustic feel completely won the bride over. The ceremony and reception room was decorated with bunting and fairy lights for a rustic feel that suited Lauren and Adam. For the wedding breakfast, the guests enjoyed a sitdown BBQ dinner before moving out into the enchanting courtyard for dessert from an ice cream tricycle. The couple also had a delicious three-tiered naked wedding cake decorated with fruit and flowers. Many engaged couples haven’t even considered having the most important day of their lives filmed - which we think is a real shame! There are many reasons why you should consider having your day filmed, and these are just a few... On your wedding day you will doubtless look better than you ever have. This is surely the one day in your life it would be good to have on film, and in years to come you will realise how fantastic you looked on your special day, and be thankful that you have the DVD to remind you. Photography and videography do two different jobs and both are valuable. Photographs generate smiles; a video produces laughter and tears. A photograph provides memories of how everyone looked; a wedding film brings the memories to life – you can hear your grandfather’s laugh; smile as the toddler runs across the lawn; cry as your father says how proud you have made him. How else would you see the look on your partner’s face as he sees you for the first time, or your smile as your eyes meet? These are truly priceless sequences that work so much better in a moving, speaking image. A bride whose wedding had been filmed said that her four-year-old saw a photo of his parents’ wedding and asked her about it. She was so happy to be able to sit with him and show him the film of how it all happened, rather than just look at pictures! Your wedding film will become part of your family’s heritage, and as time passes you will appreciate more and more the value of having a film of those wonderful people enjoying your day with you.

The Day! Beach-loving couple Kimmi and Sam chose a seaside theme for their Isle of Wight wedding at East Afton Farmhouse. The groom is a big fan of surfing, while the bride loves beachcombing, so their blue, grey and sandy colour scheme was a natural choice! The seven bridesmaids wore a variety of stormy grey and nude gowns in flowing fabrics, which perfectly echoed bride Kimmi’s boho beautiful sheath gown from Maggie Sottero. Groom Sam wore a stylish navy suit from Hawes and Curtis with a sandy yellow tie, and his groomsmen wore their own suits. After their sentimental church ceremony, which included a Celtic circling prayer, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast of local produce (including a garlic-themed mezze from a nearby garlic farm!) and a variety of live music.
