MOMENTO 2 CONTRA A LETARGIA DOS ALUNOS EM RELAÇÃO À ARTE
Depois do primeiro encontro de antigos alunos do curso de Artes da Escola Secundária Martins Sarmento, que deu origem à exposição de alguns dos seus trabalhos no Museu de Alberto Sampaio, a Casa da Memória acolhe o “Momento 2”: uma exposição que apresenta um conjunto de obras que medeiam entre o tempo de aulas (1988 a 2002) e a atualidade. Estas criações – desenho, pintura, fotografia e instalação, entre outras – refletem sobretudo os lados do testemunho e do manifesto: uma prova do forte impacto da educação artística no percurso de vida de cada um destes antigos alunos. On the heels of the first encounter of the former students of Art from the Martins Sarmento Secondary School (which resulted in the exhibition of their work at the Alberto Sampaio Museum), the Casa da Memória now welcomes “Momento 2”, an exhibition that presents a set of works that mediate between the artists’ time in school (1988 to 2002) and the present day. These creations – drawings, paintings, photography and installations, among others – reflect, in particular, the notion of testimony and manifesto, itself proof of the strong impact of artistic education on the life-path of each of these former Guimarães students.
