Gratitude is happiness!

The past two years have been challenging for many reasons but it’s important to never lose hope - on anything. We have to focus on what we have, on what we do and where we’re going. I always say that small things matter, simple things make me happy.

What is as simple as gratitude of every day? It goes on now for 26 years that I do my gratitude every morning.

It’s the first thing that I do, before I have coffee. What is it? It’s 8 minutes of your life. To open the window, breath and say how lucky I am. How thankful I am. Thankful about getting dressed, about eating breakfast, about getting in the car, about going to work. We spend more time at work than we do with our family. But we cannot forget about this thing called gratitude. To see life from a more positive side, to bless the people directly around you. It’s a state of mind, you can control that. Gratitude is not something unreachable. It’s as simple as two words - thank you.

MARRAKESH

The number one destination in Morocco is Marrakesh and it is not without reason. The old mythical city is like taken from a fairy tale. The colors of the houses oscillate between ocher and baby pink and the old quarters of the Medina completely simmer with life.

THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS

Close to Marrakesh you’ll find the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, which are magically beautiful. The highest peak is called Jebel Toubkal and is excellent to climb on your own, but of course there are also guided tours.

AGADIR

When it comes to sunbathing in Morocco, Agadir is one of the most popular seaside resorts. Whitewashed houses, streets lined with palm trees and a long, long sandy beach.

ESSAOUIRA

Another popular coastal town and seaside resort is called Essaouira and is located just west of Marrakesh. The town is an old fishing village, and the atmosphere is bohemian. Essaouira's medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it's hard not to fall in love with its fabulous charm and narrow, winding alleys.

ERG CHIGAGA

Once in Morocco, you should definitely not miss going on an excursion in the Sahara desert. You can choose a day trip or an adventure of several days. One of the best destinations for this is Erg Chigaga, where the beber culture has its oldest roots. The environment is barren and incredibly beautiful with saffron yellow dunes and a fantastic starry sky when it gets dark.

CASABLANCA

The biggest city in Morocco. When you arrive here, you will discover a city that reflects the entire continent. As Morocco's most important financial city, Casablanca is stateof-the-art and also offers relevant cultural history.

CHEFCHAOUEN

Called the Blue Pearl of Morocco

Chefchaouen is a city with a very special character. The reason it fascinates so many visitors is that it has a strong sense of unreality. The facades of the houses are colored in blue and white and the whole city looks like bathing in azure blue. Just like a dream!

EAT LIKE A Moroccan

Moroccan cuisine is influenced by many cultures: Arabian, Mediterranean and African. Take a trip through spices and colors and discover the amazing flavours!

TAGINE

From the name of the clay conical pot where it is cooked, Tagine is a multi-version slow-cooked Moroccan dish. It can be made with beef, lamb, chicken, and can even be vegetarian! Traditionally you eat it directly from the tagine, using Khobz, which is Moroccan bread, to scoop the delicious meal!

MINT TEA

It is definitively the drink of choice in Morocco! Also known as Moroccan whiskey. The base is green tea, completed with mint leaves and sugar. Following traditions, it needs to be poured from a height, usually one meter.

COUSCOUS

Made of tiny balls of wheat grains, couscous is often referred to as the national dish of Morocco. Usually it's cooked on Friday as a dish to share with the whole family. Couscous is an extremely versatile meal which can be accompanied with different kinds of meats and vegetables!

HARIRA SOUP

Harira soup is a tomato-based soup, often enriched with lentils and chickpeas, characterized by a high nutritious formula. Usually, it is eaten during the month of Ramadan in order to break the fast.

YOU’RE BORN AND RAISED IN MOROCCO.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR COUNTRY! ANY HIDDEN GEMS WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?

"I couldn’t ask for a better place to grow up in. Morocco is a place with important values and a strong culture. It’s a place where you grow up learning what is the reality of life and how to grow as a strong person and face the world. I think it did help a lot in making me the wom an I am today. Especially when you are in the entertainment industry, if you don’t stay focus and remember what real life is, it’s very easy to get lost and lose yourself. There is a lot if hidden gems un Morocco. The beauty of the country is that it’s so different from the North to the South. You can go from a city like the blue city Tetouan by the beach to the red city Marrakesh in the middle of the desert. Every city is authentic and different with its own beauty and culture. It’s hard to describe, you can only understand if you visit! I think growing up in Morocco made me have a very creative eye. Because of the colors, the scenery, the food and the history."

YOU NOW LIVE IN LOS ANGELES, HOW’S LIFE DIFFERENT HERE COMPARED TO MOROCCO?

"It’s totally different from Morocco, it’s a cultural shock for sure. When I first moved here it took a lot to blend in. Coming from a country where it’s all about family and taking care of each other and relocating to a country where everyone is kind of self-focused. I moved to Los Angeles with dreams, I am grateful for this change because it made me who I am today. I kept the important things from my country which is caring and helping others and added what I need to take from L.A. - focus and hard work to achieve my goals!"

HOW DID YOU END UP WORKING FOR GUESS? WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF WORKING FOR THE BRAND?

"After I graduated from L.A. Fashion school I got introduced to Paul Marciano through a common friend. As soon as we met and realized we were both Moroccan we knew we had to work to gether. He asked me to start working for GUESS the following week, working one day in every department in order to choose which area of the business that fit me the most. After a few days in the company I loved my experience styling shoots so I started as a stylist assistant. After 3 years working for the company I started working on my social media and Mr. Marciano decid ed to give me the chance modeling as the first Arab model of the company. We shot the first campaign specifically for Middle East and the pictures were used in the stores and billboards all over Dubai and Morocco as well as other countries. It was so unreal for me I - I couldn’t believe it! After 9 years in L.A. I would say the best years were with GUESS. As it didn’t feel like work! GUESS made me discover the inside of the fashion world that I never could have discovered without my experience in the company. The fash ion shows, the trips in places like Lake Como, the photoshoots with the biggest celebrities. Working for GUESS didn’t feel like working but more like an adventure full of exciting surprises."

HOW IS IT WORKING WITH PAUL MARCIANO?

"When I started working for GUESS I was directly reporting to Paul Marciano, it was my very first job. I was young and a bit lost in a big city like Los Angeles. Mr. Marciano became like a mentor to me. I couldn’t ask for a better boss. I think working for someone like him made me a stronger person. I learned how to be a hard-working woman and how to deal with every situation. I wasn’t only a stylist, but he always pushed me to give my best, giving me tasks I wasn’t prepared for and new challenges every day. Even if my main job was working as a stylist I sometimes had to design, orga nize events, coordinate photoshoots and I also ended up modeling for his company. All of this in the best atmosphere and conditions, the best memories, hospitality and fun - making the work environment an amazing place with co-workers becoming like family. I am still very close to all my colleagues from the company as well as the GUESS models!"

HAS A CAREER IN FASHION ALWAYS BEEN YOUR GOAL?

"I always wanted to work in fashion but behind the camera, I never thought I would be the one standing in front of it. I think I only got to that point after learning about modeling, working as a stylist watching all the models, learning all the tricks. Only because of this experience I built enough confidence to become a model myself."

WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO OUTFIT?

"My go-to outfit used to be sweaters and hood ies. I like to be comfortable and feel good all day around. However, I figured out that loose outfits make it easier to put on weight without re alizing so I had to switch and find a replacement which now is yoga clothes! It’s still comfortable but at least I know if I’m putting some weight on."

CAN YOU GIVE US A STYLING HACK TO CREATE THE PERFECT GUESS LOOK?

"GUESS looks are all so iconic! I would say that the best GUESS look is a total denim look. A blue jean with a blue denim jacket and any shirt you want! You can never go wrong with that, a timeless look!"

YOU’VE WORKED WITH MANY INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINES. TELL US ABOUT A SHOOTING CLOSE TO YOUR HEART!

"All the shoots are very close to my heart! But my all-time favorite is the GUESS campaign that was shot in my country and the pictures that were shown in the billboards and in stores in Dubai and Morocco! It was such a special mo ment for me to receive pictures from people from my country with messages of how proud they are of me for working with such an iconic brand!"

STYLIST, MODEL AND TV HOST – WHICH JOB HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGING ONE?

"Every job I did was very challenging as every time it was a new field that I was getting into. Every experience comes with its own challenges and the hardest is to learn quick, adapt and

master it the best way I can. TV host was defi nitely the most challenging job as it required a lot of training that I had to do for a few months before starting and especially with live TV you don’t really have time to fix or redo anything, once you’re live you need to deliver!"

YOU HAVE ALMOST A MILLION FOLLOWERS ON INSTAGRAM. HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH YOUR AUDIENCE?

"I’m a very private person. I use social media for work and sometimes to show things that I love. I know sometimes social media could be very tox ic so I’m really trying to get the best of it in the healthiest way. I love fashion and travelling so I try to share outfit ideas and places that I visit. I also make sure to answers as much as I can to questions and direct messages about clothes or products that I post or promote. To me it’s very important to interact with my followers as they’ve always been big supporters to me!"

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?

"I’ve always been a person with a big vision, I believe in myself and I never give up and it works! In five years, I see myself doing what I love the most – continue working in fashion and make it my every day, having my own TV show about fashion, interviewing fashion icons that I love! I also want stability, happiness and a family of course!"

MEDINA

The medina is the old part of a town or city, found in many countries of North Africa, not just Morocco. It is usually walled and contains narrow streets, fountains, palaces mosques, and hammams.

RIAD

The traditional Moroccan home, characterized by an open-air garden in its center.

SOUK

TELL US ABOUT YOUR MODELING CAREER?

YOU ARE BASED IN PARIS, CORRECT?

"My modeling career started when I was still in High School in Tunisia. I travelled to New York for vacation and that is where I got scouted. Since then, I have met and worked with many amazing and super talented people all over the world. I really love every moment of my work and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Today, I am based in Paris as it is right in the middle of everything, that way I can travel easily from one place to another without missing any work opportunity that I get."

YOU ARE FROM TUNISIA, TELL US WHAT IT IS LIKE THERE?

"Tunisia is, for me, one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever seen in my life. It is a great destination for a sunny Mediterranean escape. It has the most beautiful beaches with white sand and crystal-clear water as well as many breath-taking landscapes and hidden gems. In the south of Tunisia, we have the most magical Sahara that counts many different unexplored oases and historical sites. Tunisia is like a dream, and I feel very blessed to have experi enced everything that my country has to offer."

YOU JUST GOT BACK FROM MARRAKESH WHERE YOU SHOT THE MARCIANO FW22 CAMPAIGN, WHAT WAS IT LIKE FOR YOU?

"Marrakesh was an incredible experi ence. It was like travelling through time between authenticity and modernity. I found myself immersed in a history and culture that I particularly love as it really reminded me of my country Tunisia. I had the best time shooting the Marciano FW22 campaign with the most amazing team. We really had so much fun together between discovering new places and creating all together an incredible campaign."

WAS IT A GOOD PLACE TO SHOOT THE MARCIANO COLLECTION?

"The Marciano collection takes us on a journey between pure and dazzling colors that blend perfectly with the

Agafay desert in Marrakesh, and warm colors that reminds us of the convivial moments spent in the Medina and the Riads. The collection genuinely combines the richness of the materials with the beauty of the creations. It exudes authenticity, beauty, and refine ment, all of which are aligned with the values of this breath-taking country."

YOU VISITED THE DESERT, THE MEDINA AS WELL AS DIFFERENT RIADS. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE SHOOTING? "Everything is beautiful in Marrakesh. You have the impression of being a princess of modern times and of living a story of “One thousand and one nights.” You feel the magic everywhere you go, and my heart kept on swinging between the friendliness in the Medi na’s alleys, the mystery of the Riads and the endlessness of the beautiful desert. My favorite part of the shoot ing, however, was in the Riads, as they have a lot of beautiful spots, and ev erything is so calm and quiet that you can only hear the singing of birds."

YOU ARE ALSO AN ACTRESS?

"Acting has always been something I aspire to do and that’s why I took acting courses in the Stella Adler studio in New York. After that, I got different roles in different Tunisian TV series that I really loved playing and embodying. Today, I keep on working hard to reach my goals in acting and hopefully, the next step would be more international. Who knows!"

DO YOU SEE SOME SIMILARITIES BETWEEN BEING AN ACTRESS AND A MODEL?

"There are a lot of similarities between being an actress and a model. Being a model is a little bit like playing a role and telling, through captured moments, the story of every unique collection through body gestures and face expressions. Every day of work is different from the other. Each shoot tells a unique story where I get the opportunity to express myself and embody a different role each time, and the same goes for acting. It is an effort of creativity and inspiration and the ability to transmit different feelings to the viewer which takes them to another world different from the current reality."

HOW DO YOU MANAGE BOTH CAREERS?

"It is really hard to manage both mod eling and acting at the same time, but I believe it is a matter of good organi zation and being surrounded by loved ones for good energy and support. If you have the combination of these two, then you can do it all!"

ANY ADVICE FOR ASPIRING MODELS?

CAN YOU DESCRIBE MARRAKESH?

"Marrakesh is incredibly beautiful. It felt like a magical escape. I spent a couple of days there and I still haven’t discovered all its mysteries. I am really looking forward to going back there and seeing more of its wonders."

"Perseverance is the key to success. Modeling is amazing but to get where you want to get, you really need to work extremely hard and believe in yourself. Be confident in who you are while always remaining humble and respectful of everyone. And most im portantly: Love what you do and never ever give up, as there is no success without small failures."

“Morocco holds a very special place in my heart. Both my parents were born there and throughout my life I have always felt very connect ed with the culture and traditions of this magical country. Back in 1990, I shot my very first campaign in Marrakesh with Claudia Schiffer, and ever since then, I’ve wanted to go back to shoot another campaign there, but the stars never aligned. This year, no matter all the difficul ties with Covid, I was determined to shoot Marciano in Morocco and I couldn’t be happier with the cam paign. The cultural diversity of Mo rocco and its varied architectural beauties are reflected in the images shot by Nima Benati. From majestic desert dunes, to picturesque riads, and sublime gardens, these pictures will take you through an immersive visual experience.”

WHAT DOES ENDLESS FREEDOM MEAN TO YOU?

“Imagine having a blank canvas in front of you and being able to paint and create without any restrictions or limitations. This is what GUESS meant to me and my brothers when we started the company. We came to America with a big dream. We started a denim company, then we began opening stores, then built a licensing business and became a Global Brand. We just had no lim itations of how big we could dream; this was our American dream.“

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ELEVATION OF THE PRODUCTS AND THE REPOSITIONING OF THE BRAND?

“The past three years have been cru cial for our brand. We felt the need to go back to our roots and the very essence of what GUESS has always been about… great designs, amaz ing quality, compelling imagery, and a great customer experience in our stores and at every touch point with the brand. We did extensive work with research & development of our product and the remodeling of our stores around the world, and we continue to do so. We will al ways fight to protect our brand!”

WHICH PRODUCT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT AT THE MOMENT?

“I am very proud and confident with all the product lines at GUESS, but the star right now, is Marciano. There is nothing like this collection

in the market!

The prints, the quality of the fabrics, and bold designs are so unique. I am so excited about the new pants collection we launched for Marcia no; it will fit every body type. I am thrilled about the collection, and we are strongly investing to accel erate the distribution of this brand throughout the world.”

WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION AND PASSION FOR YOUR WORK?

“I find inspiration everywhere, es pecially art, music, photography, and travelling. I am a very visual person, and when I find an idea, I can easily picture a new collection for handbags, apparel, or denim. I constantly look for new ideas and ways to improve our product, it is key for me.

The passion for my work comes from my teams. When I travel and visit my teams all over the world like in Japan, Spain, Italy, or Poland and experience the global lega cy GUESS has created it gives me extreme pride and endless energy to continue to push and lead my teams.”

DURING YOUR ENTIRE CAREER CAN YOU IDENTIFY A SPECIAL MOMENT THAT MADE YOU REALLY PROUD?

“I have had many proud moments thanks to the power of our brand, but one of the best moments of all was in 2006, during our first ever global conference for GUESS. We had over 1000 people from our executive teams, licensees, distrib utors, and key stores managers, representing over 80 countries, all reunited in one room.

It was three full days of strategy, entertainment, and team bonding, and this really made me realize how many lives and cultures this brand has touched. It was a “wow” moment.”

CAN YOU TAKE US THROUGH THE PROCESS FROM DESIGNING THE PRODUCT TILL SHOOTING THE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN?

“We always start our collection from the prints. I select all the prints each season and then the designers put together mood boards and in spiration that we review together. Once the first samples are ready, we make additional changes and comments before the final line re view. When we review the final col lections and the general impacts of the prints and colors, I can immedi ately visualize what I want to do for the campaigns.”

TELL US ABOUT GUESS FAMILY AND THE IMPORTANCE OF THE GUESS RULES AND PERSONAL VALUES?

“The GUESS family was created by some of the key executives at Guess and quickly was joined by our key models, photographers, and em ployees around the world. It’s an amazing community that loves and shares the values and the legacy that this company has built over the last 40 years.

Every new employee that comes at GUESS is given 2 small cards: the GUESS Rules and the GUESS val ues. It includes very simple rules like attitude, common sense, cour age, get things done. Very simple concepts that changed my life and changed the way I managed my company. No matter how compli cated a particular problem can be, I always refer to my rules or values and I always find the answer on how to face any issue I encounter in business and in my personal life.”

WHAT’S YOUR FUTURE VISION FOR THE BRAND?

“Consistency, execution and clear strategy!!!

“I would call it a comfortable style. But also, elegant. Materials are important to me. I love natural fabrics like silk and cashmere. For shoes they have to be comfortable. My go-to’s are loafers and sneakers. I’ve noticed that I am also often inspired by the environment. If I am in nature, I like colors that can be found in nature. If I'm in another country, I tend to adopt to local colors and style.”

ROUND GLASSES, PILOT FRAMES OR CAT EYE?

There are lots of different shapes and styles of sunglasses and it can be difficult to know which ones suit you best. Your face shape can be a clue to choosing the right frames.

ROUND FACE

You fit in more marked sunglasses

A round face has soft shapes and is about as wide as long. Glasses with more marked edges fit your face well. Try more rectan gular frames or glasses with a square and sharp shape to create more contrast to your soft facial features.

OVAL FACE

You fit in all types of sunglasses

Neither round nor square? If you have jaws that are narrower than the forehead with high cheekbones, you probably have an oval face shape. This type of face shape does not really have any limitations when it comes to the shape of sunglasses. So take the opportunity to experiment and maybe test a model with a wide frame or why not butterfly-shaped sunglasses?

You fit in round sunglasses

Marked jaw, wide forehead and clear cheekbones? Then you belong to the group that has a square face shape. Just as round faces need to create more contrast with marked arches, those with a more square face can choose round shapes. At the event, the FW21 men's and women's collection were displayed: inspired by a journey from the luxurious lakeside to the snowcapped mountains. GUESS?, Inc partnered with One Tree Planted to help restore areas throughout California and British Columbia that have been devastated by forest fires.

In total, GUESS planted 5,415 trees to honor each member of the GUESS Family in North America.

"It takes a lot of planning ahead and organization, but I believe that if you truly love what you do, you can make time for everything. Be ing a student and a model requires passion and motivation to continue – even at times when you don’t re ally feel like it. The most important thing for me is to feel fulfilled and proud at the end of the day."

WHAT MADE YOU STUDY MEDICINE?

"Being a doctor has always been my dream. The pure satisfaction of helping people’s needs is what inspires me every day."

HAVE YOU DECIDED WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR YOU WANT TO WORK AS IN THE FUTURE?

"I still haven’t decided my special ization, it changes as time goes by. For now, being an anesthesiologist or a hematologist sounds very appealing to me."

"Ever since I can remember I looked up to my mom. She has always been the strongest, most beautiful and pure woman to me. I will forever be thankful for the life lessons she taught me and for what she is still teaching me today."

WHEN DID YOU START MODELING?

"I started modeling recently, about a year ago and I feel super happy about making that choice!"

DID YOU REACH OUT TO AN AGENCY BY YOURSELF OR WERE YOU SCOUTED BY AN AGENT?

"An agency reached out to me and I have to say that considering what I study it took me a lot of time to think about it. However, the deci sion to pursue this dream of mine was a very good choice!"

HOW WAS SHOOTING YOUR FIRST GUESS CAMPAIGN?

"It was a dream! An unforgettable experience that will forever stay in my heart, filled with good energy and amazing people! I feel super thankful for it every single day."

WHICH OUTFIT WAS YOUR FAVORITE ONE WHEN SHOOTING THE CAMPAIGN?

"I fell in love with every single outfit that I wore during the campaign!

The colors were amazing, and the styling of the clothes and acces sories together was incredible. The one look that stood out to me personally was the one with a colorful coat, it was very bright and blended well with the beautiful nature around us."

CAN YOU DESCRIBE A PERFECT DAY FOR YOU?

"A perfect day for me would probably include waking up to a sunny day, spending the time with my family and eating good food! I don’t think you need anything more than that for a perfect day."

"I come from Strasbourg in France, I started working for GUESS 2 years ago, they spotted me through my Swiss modeling agency."

HOW DID YOU END UP MODELING?

"I was scouted in the street, I didn't believe it at first, then I decided to give modeling a try at the end of my studies."

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST SUCCESS IN YOUR CAREER SO FAR?

"I started modeling late so I have little experience compared to other models, but I would say the Giorgio Armani fashion show and of course the last GUESS worldwide campaign."

HOW WAS SHOOTING YOUR FIRST GUESS CAMPAIGN IN SPAIN?

"Everything went perfectly, it was a real teamwork and when it's like that it's just fun. It was my first shoot with Paul on set and it's impressive to see him at work - he knows exactly what he wants!"

WHICH WAS YOUR FAVORITE ITEM OF THE JEANS COLLECTION?

"I shot with a brown suede jacket which is for sure the next piece that I will add to my wardrobe."

BEING A MODEL, YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY. WHAT’S YOUR WORKOUT ROUTINE?

"I try to do sports every day, when I have time even twice a day. I like to change sports, it varies between handball, fitness, swimming, skiing, horse riding and tennis. Sport is one thing, but you also have to pay attention to your diet."

WHAT’S A HEALTHY MEAL THAT YOU LOVE?

"I love ceviche, I discovered it in Mexico, and I cook it myself sometimes. It's simple and very good for your health."

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OUTFIT TO WEAR WHEN WORKING OUT?

"It's quite simple, a good pair of sports shoes, shorts and a T-shirt."
