Holiday 2022 Press Preview Recap U.S.
Occasion dressing and elevated outerwear have become two focal points that the publications love. Notable publications that viewed the collections included ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, and Who What Wear.
Throughout the month of July the GUESS PR Team hosted a press preview by appointment only for fashion editors from major print and online publications, as well as key stylists. The press preview showcased each Holiday line and category including the GUESS Originals Fall line. We supplemented this with market photos and hi res images for placements. Editors and stylists previewed the upcoming GUESS + Marciano Holiday 2022 collections and learned more about the abstract animal prints, Great Gatbsy themed pieces, and faux fur styles for women.

The men's lines focused on ski and collegiate inspired styles with an outerwear focus and monochromatic looks.
Necessary assets of GUESS + Marciano were sent via email by the PR team for publications to include in upcoming issues/stories.

Alfonso loved the texture of the burgundy coated men ' s denim and the corduroy styles. He was drawn mostly to the blue color story for December but was also drawn to the green varsity jacket and all of the men ' s outerwear.

Samantha Gasmer, Vanity Fair Samantha loved all of the embellished and embroidered denim as it is very Y2K. She was a fan of the satin cargo pants and the coated metallic denim in YC. Other pieces that stood out to Sam were the leather pleated GO mini skirt and the GO baby tees saying they are very wearable pieces.
Rosie Jarman, ELLE An editor favorite piece that Rosie pointed out was the Marciano Anita Maxi dress in olive. She also loved the embroidered denim and the GO carpenter styles. Rosie was a big fan of the Marciano Micky coat saying it felt luxurious. She noted that the G Cube print felt very elevated and was a favorite print.

Jaclyn was drawn to the sequins and fringe shown throughout the Great Gatsby pieces but was also drawn to the more classic styles. She loved all of the rib sweater dresses, teal Emelie blazer, and the YC prints. She noted that all of the holiday Marciano line is very chic and elevated complimenting the quality.
Belle Bakst, The Pioneer Woman
Belle was a big fan of all the puffer jacket styles throughout the lines, specifically noting the YC floral print puffer. Another favorite of Belle's was the Marciano Precious Emboidered Jacket.

GUESS & Marciano Key Learnings
In person press previews are still preferred as we are able to build stronger relationships and gain face time with new contacts. One on one appointments are an excellent way to closely interact with the editor to learn more about stories they are working on and how GUESS and Marciano can fit into their pages.
In person is preferred but if they are unavailable to come to the showroom, digital lookbooks are still a great alternative. Offering market photos and assets afterwards is great for the editors so they don't feel like they will miss anything from the appointment.
Finding more gift options but staying along the lines of wellness themed gifts as editors enjoy it and are more inclined to use it.
