their 100% record as they claimed their fourth successive victory over a tough Myton Warriors side in the Impact Performance National Conference League Division Two at the Limestone Construction Field, Monk Sports Club.

Rovers got off to the perfect start when hooker Oliver Livett scored in the very first minute. Scrum half Dec Leonard converted and then five minutes later prop forward Ryan Palin crashed over for a try. Leonard added the conversion.

The home side moved further clear on the half hour when substitute Adam Files, playing his first game of the campaign, went over for a trademark try. Leonard converted but the Humbersiders got on the scoreboard four minutes before the break with a try from winger Tyler Fisher to make the half time score 18-4 to Rovers.

Two minutes into the second half Rovers second row Sam Vernon crossed for a fine try but then eleven minutes later he was sin binned for a shoulder charge although it didn’t seem to affect Rovers as almost immediately loose forward Harry Files scored. Leonard added the conversion.

The visitors refused to throw the towel in and they were rewarded when Fisher crossed for his second try and shortly afterwards stand off Nathan Slater scored. Scrum half Kris Walker converted.

A minute from time Myton scored once again with Slater crossing. K Walker converted but it was to little too late as Rovers claimed a deserved 28-20 win.

The Man of the Match was awarded to Rovers loose forward Harry Files. He was very well supported by stand off Ryan Brown and second row Scott Whiteley.
