LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS' MEMORIAL CEREMONY
Grand Traverse County Emergency Managment Manger Gregg Bird was shocked to receive the call that he had been nominated by a member of Michigan State Police and even more so when they concluded their phone call announcing Gregg had earned the high recognition of PEM of the Year The first to be awarded in northern Michigan and the first civilian to receive the recognition, Gregg was humbled. He was invited to the captain's breakfast this morning at the State's Homeland Security Conference where he was presented with the award
