Key Events to Attend

By: Michaela Simpson, GA Curriculum & Assessment

During No Impact Week, there will be events and programs going on all across campus and in your residence halls that will help you consider your carbon footprint. The Center for Sustainability will be hosting several events that serve to reduce the impact Georgia Southern University makes on the environment. As part of this week, you can learn about how to reduce your impact through a variety of fun, engaging programs! One of my favorites is the Recycled Boat Regatta, where teams build boats out of recyclable materials and attempt to cross the lake in front of the Nursing & Education Buildings in it. There are tons of different awards to win at this event, and an opportunity to do something that you’ll surely remember forever!
