ABOUT THE DIVISION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION OUR MISSION The mission of the Division of Continuing Education is to support Georgia Southern University’s commitment to advancing the State of Georgia and helping the region accomplish more. We do this by offering a wide variety of outreach programs and services. We also honor the University’s commitment to promote life success by extending the learning environment beyond the classroom. Guided by this, we serve as the educational link between Georgia Southern and our community by delivering lifelong learning opportunities. FUNDAMENTALS OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY The ideal participant is one who anticipates moving to, or has graduated to digital single lens reflex photography (DSLR). This class is open and accessible to beginning photographers with an interest in learning the craft. ONLINE COURSES CERTIFIED BOOKKEEPER The Certified Bookkeeper Online Training Program for experienced bookkeepers leads to national certification with the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). The AIPB certification is a high professional standard for bookkeepers. This program was created by the AIPB and is offered in partnership with major colleges, universities, and other accredited education providers. All textbooks are included. Dates: Any time — upon registering, you’re given six months to complete the program. Students will have one year (365 days) from the date of enrollment in the Certified Bookkeeper Online Training Program through ed2go to submit the Application for Certified Bookkeeper Designation form to The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. From exploring the science of the outdoors, to creating exciting Lego robots, even preparing for college entrance exams, we’ve got their needs and interests covered! Here are some of our exciting offerings. BLACKROCKET GAME DESIGN CAMPS A variety of digital game design camps for ages 9-12.
