CPE: What certifications would be helpful for someone who may not have a degree to get a start in medicine?

"Certainly a CNA [Certified Nursing Assistant], phlebotomist, or PCT if the student is interested in patient care," Dr. Nash suggested. "Medical coding is also a very in-demand career right now." These certifications offer valuable entry points for individuals seeking opportunities in the medical field, even without a formal degree.

"We are looking for individuals who can fill a variety of roles, as well as those who can step in when their co-workers are absent," Dr. Nash explained.
