How to Reach Out

Mentors should reach out to mentees. Mentees, make sure you respond when they reach out! Even if you miss a message, reach back out when you can. If something comes up and you need to take time to yourself, or miss a meeting, be communicative. More important than any words you choose to say is the factthatyouchoosetosaysomething.

You can text or email your mentor/mentee to reach out. Try to be open and authentic.Makeplanstomeetinpersonassoonasyoucan.GSPprovidesfunds so you can grab a bite to eat or go on adventure together. Here is an examplestarterconversation!

Hey! Nice to meet you! Things are hectic rn... Are you free to meet next weekend?

I’m free Saturday afternoon if that works. Would you want to go to the flea market and maybe grab lunch around 12?

Sounds great! :) Meet at the front gates Saturday at 12?
