The Girl Scouts organization is the world’s largest leadership development organization for girls. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives - such as strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
Girl Scouting of today goes beyond traditional camping and crafts. The girls of today explore math and science, learn about diversity, good citizenship, leadership and teamwork. Girl Scouting is the place where girls experience the fun, friendship and power of girls together.

Give them the confidence to try new things. Help them gain the courage to make the world a better place. When girls have our support, their potential is endless.

United We Lead Gala
United We Lead is the flagship fundraising event for Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois. Now in its 7th year, we are excited to celebrate with you once again. The United We Lead Gala brings together a wide range of people who share the same desire to be a difference in girls’ lives.
On Friday, September 12, 2025, we will celebrate at Leclaire Room in Edwardsville, IL. United We Lead Gala – Building a Sweeter Future will begin in the sweetest way possible –by having dessert first! The night will be filled with dinner, entertainment, auctions, featured speakers and girl testimonials. We look forward to celebrating with you as we support our Girl Scouts building a sweeter future for us all.
