Program Highlights

More than 5,553 girls and 1,612 adults participated in a variety of program activities at our council. Our Trailblazers hiking and backpacking group led 150 members on weekend trips that included trekking across New Jersey’s portion of the Appalachian Trail. More than 60 girls joined our robotics teams to compete in FIRST TECH and FIRST LEGO events, and our Steel Magnolias FIRST TECH team ended their season in the top 10% of the 220 robotics teams in the state.

We celebrated the 110th Anniversary of the Girl Scout movement during 2022, and conducted several large-scale events including a:

• Virtual Financial Literacy Program for Girl Scouts of all levels sponsored by Morgan Stanley

• Girls Go Grand…Canyon staff-led excursion to Arizona

• Council-wide Girl Scout Cookie Rally at Nickelodeon Universe in the American Dream mall

• Girl Scout Gold Award & 110th Anniversary Celebration at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains

13th Largest Council out of 111 in girl & adult membership

60+ girls participated in GSNNJ Robotics

91 girls earned the Girl Scout Gold Award
