2025 Summer Camp Guide

Registration opens February 1!

Welcome Girl Scouts!

This is your summer to unplug, take a breath, and fully immerse yourself in the magic of Camp life. Girl Scout Camp is your place to discover new things about yourself in an all-girl environment that’s all about independence, growth, and fun. Here at camp, we’re all about embracing challenges, learning from each experience, and finding joy in the little moments—like the taste of your first perfectly roasted marshmallow, hitting the high notes on your favorite camp song, or the sound of the wind in the trees during a quiet hike.

We’re so glad you’re here to be part of this incredible camp family. We can’t wait to see the friendships you’ll make, the courage you’ll build, and the adventures you’ll tackle head-on. Let’s make this summer unforgettable!

Calling All Older Girls!

Jump start your leadership experience at camp by helping our camp staff create memories for our campers!

Attend as a Camper or a PA, CIT or WIT

Girl Scouts are welcome to register as a camper or as a PA, CIT or WIT. As a camper, you’re focused on having fun and making memories. As a PA, CIT, or WIT, you’ll be helping other girls have fun and make memories. You’ll be seeing camp from a whole new perspective.

Unsure where to start? For first time PA’s, CIT’s, and WIT’s, we recommend starting your leadership journey at a one day event, mini-camp, or day camp. If you have been to camp before, served as a PA, CIT, or WIT, and are ready to continue your learning, join us at weeklong overnight camp.

Here’s a breakdown of some must-know camp lingo you might want to know before you go—you’ll be passing for a seasoned camper in no time!

Flag Ceremony

(aka chores) is a fun name used at camp for all those daily duties that keep camp clean and running smoothly, like taking out the trash, sweeping, and picking up litter.

Honors the American flag as the symbol of our country and all the hopes, dreams, and people it represents.

the Lingo Rewards Can Help Pay for Camp

Friendship Circle

Girl Scouts stand in a circle, crossing their right arms over their left, and clasping hands with their friends on both sides. Everyone then makes a silent wish as a friendship squeeze is passed from hand to hand around the circle.

SWAPS

“Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere.” These small tokens of friendship are exchanged between Girl Scouts. Each SWAP uniquely reflects a fellow Girl Scout, their troop, or a memory of a special event.

As part of the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie sale, Girl Scouts may have earned a Camp Saver reward that can be used to help pay for camp. Selecting a Camp Saver reward does not automatically register Girl Scouts for summer camp. Girl Scouts are encouraged to reserve their spot and pay a deposit beginning February 1. Individuals will be contacted to confirm their reward details and balance.

Camp Saver rewards will be applied to a single 2025 summer camp registration. Camp Saver rewards are not redeemable for Council Cash or cash.

Online Registration and Profile Management

Introducing CampDocs, our new online registration system to make your camp experience easier from the start. You will be able to create an account, receive notifications, and update health forms in real time without the need to start over every year. CampDocs is secure, encrypted, and password protected, so you can rest assured that your camper’s info is safe. Begin by visiting gsnim.org and searching for ‘Summer Camp,’ or scan the QR code.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit per session is required at the time of registration for overnight and day camp to hold your spot at your chosen camp. The deposit is applied to the cost of the session. If you transfer camps after the last date to register (this date varies by camp) you will be required to pay an additional non-refundable deposit for the newly chosen camp session.

Up to and including $125.00 camp fee the deposit is $20.00.

$126.00 and above the deposit is $40.00.

The balance due date for all camps is June 1.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if:

• the application for financial assistance is denied or insufficient funds are granted.

• the program or session is cancelled.

A partial refund will be given if:

• the camper becomes ill or injured and the Council is notified two weeks before the session check-in with a written statement from a physician. The program fee minus the nonrefundable deposit will be refunded.

• the family unexpectedly moves out of the area.

• there is a family emergency [e.g., a family death or medical emergency (to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

Financial Assistance

No refund will be given and the entire amount will be retained if:

• a camper does not show up.

• does not pass the health and wellness screening.

• leaves early due to illness, homesickness, and parental request.

• demonstration of disregard toward camp policies.

We believe in the benefits of a camp experience are beneficial to all Girl Scouts and the financial burden of accessing those benefits should not keep someone from experiencing joy and creating memories. If you need additional assistance to help pay for camp, please consider applying for financial assistance. Funds are available for families to cover the cost of camp. Eligibility will be based on need, and assistance will be applied for one camp per girl. Financial Assistance application can be found on our website.

Camp Experience

When girls attend Girl Scout Camp they discover that they can better solve problems and overcome challenges. They develop leadership skills, build better social bonds, and are happier overall. Pair that with all the fun, camp is a great way to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place!

Camp Living

Campers are placed in groups of 5 to 30 with 2 to 5 trained staff members per group in compliance with GSUSA Safety Activity Checkpoints. At weekend and overnight camp, campers stay in cabins or platform tents with one camper per cot/bed. The program, number of campers, and camper’s age determine the living arrangements. Each unit has a shelter for rainy day activities, bathroom facilities, and storage.

Camp Mail

Help your camper stay connected by leaving mail during check-in to be delivered to your camper throughout their stay or make use of one of our new features, CampGrams through CampDocs. Additional information about camp mail and CampGrams will be sent to all caregivers registered for Camp Logan overnight camps.

Camp Staff

All camp staff are at least 18 years old, have undergone a criminal background check, and completed CPR training. All staff attended pre-camp training where they learn or review camping skills, risk management, Girl Scout programming, human development, and communication skills. Many staff members return each year and travel from all over the world to join us at camp.

Health & Wellness

The well-being of your camper is our top priority. All our summer camp staff have had mental wellbeing, CPR & AED, and first aid training. A Health and Wellness Manager is onsite any time campers are present, and they dispense medications, check-in with campers regularly, and address any concerns. For our team to provide the best care, we recommend being thorough when completing our health forms. We best support your camper when we have the knowledge to do so.

Technology Free

GSNI-M camps will continue our tradition of having a No Cell Phones policy for campers. We strongly believe that it is important for campers to disconnect and experience camp without any additional distractions. Please see our full policy on our website, gsnim.org.

Inclement Weather

Our staff actively monitor weather conditions and are well-trained in emergency protocols to ensure a safe environment for all campers. While a rainy day might lead to adjusted activities, in the event of severe weather, campers may be relocated to a secure area for their safety. Should a weather emergency arise, our camp leadership will promptly notify caregivers with updates on the situation and the precautions being taken. You can feel confident knowing that we are prepared and committed to your camper’s well-being, rain or shine.

Additional Questions?

Visit our FAQs online or contact our Member Care team to learn more and discuss how we can make your camper’s experience exciting, age-appropriate, and fulfilling.
