Any questions about council-led programs should be directed to customercare@gsnc.org rather than the program partners themselves.

Celebrating Differences

Did you know that our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, was hearingimpaired? In this interactive workshop, we’ll embrace and celebrate human differences like sensory impairments. First, you’ll explore what it’s like to be blind or low-vision by wearing goggles that simulate different vision impairments while completing fun, familiar activities. Girl Scouts will also have the opportunity to read and write braille by brailling their name and decoding riddles written in braille. In the second half, we will highlight and celebrate people who are deaf or hard of hearing and their unique culture. We will challenge our own five senses, and learn about sign language and how we can use it right away to communicate. This is the perfect way to celebrate Juliette, just in time for her birthday!

Girl Scouts Highest Awards BRONZE | SILVER | GOLD

Bronze Award Training

These awards represent the highest honors a Girl Scout can earn.

All three awards give you the chance to do big things while working on an issue that’s captured your interest in a big way.

Whether you want to plant a community garden at your school and inspire others to eat healthily for your Bronze Award, advocate for animal rights for your Silver Award, or build a career network that encourages girls to become scientists and engineers for your Gold Award, you’ll amaze yourself and inspire others.

Plus, as you earn Girl Scouts’ highest awards, you’ll change your corner of the world— and maybe even beyond. The possibilities are endless.

Questions: Email customercare@gsnc.org or call 516-741-2550.

This training is designed for Girl Scout leaders and adults who will be guiding Girl Scout Juniors through the process of earning their Bronze Award. You will learn the ins and outs of what is required; as a result, Juniors will see how rewarding it is to make the world a better place, right at home, in their community! Once they earn their Bronze Award, they tend to go on and earn all three Highest Awards. Help set them on this path!

Bronze Award training can be found in the Resources section at gsnc.org/bronze. To sign up for a Bronze Award workshop and get your project started, visit gsnc.org/programs.

Silver Award Training

Girl Scout Cadettes, do you want to become a Silver Award Girl Scout? The first step is to take GSNC’s Silver Award training to learn the requirements and discover your inner leader. Complete this training to feel confident as you develop a true Take Action project. Leaders and adults are also welcome to join this training so they are prepared to help you on your journey to earning the Silver Award.

Gold Award Training

Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors, leaders, and/or adults are invited to watch our online training to learn GSNC’s process, what it means to do a Take Action project, important deadlines, how projects are approved, and what your interview will be like. Remember, Gold Award Girl Scouts don’t just change the world for the better—they change it for good! We challenge you to join this elite group of Girl Scouts.

Gold Award training can be found in the Resources section at gsnc.org/gold. To sign up for a Gold Award workshop and get your project started, visit gsnc.org/programs.

Gold Award

Driven to make a difference? Gold Award Girl Scouts are the dreamers and doers who make the world a better place. You can be that Gold Award Girl Scout, too.

Here are the steps to educate yourself so you are ready to take on this challenge.

• Start with looking over the Gold Award webpage at gsnc.org/gold. This is a great resource for all things Gold at GSNC!

• All girls seeking to earn their Gold Award MUST read Your Guide to Going Gold. It is your second step and mandatory! Visit bit.ly/guide-to-going-gold or scan the QR code.

• Once you have completed these steps, it’s time to set up your GoGold account by visiting bit.ly/GoGold-account or scanning the QR code. This online tool will help you develop your Gold Award idea; it is also how you submit your proposal to GSNC.

Important: The May 1 proposal submission deadline is for high school seniors only.

You Can Help Girl Scouts Shine!

Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, girls:

• Discover that they can solve problems and overcome challenges together

• Develop leadership skills that will make them successful in both the classroom and the workplace

• Practice building healthy friendships, with girls inside and outside of their grade level, school district, and beyond

GSNC offers a variety of programs that girls in troops and independently registered girls with no troop affiliation (Juliettes) are invited to attend.
