What We Do
Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) is dedicated to empowering the girls of Nassau County through meaningful investments in their growth and development. We collaborate with over 250 community partners, including schools, places of worship, and local businesses, to provide enriching opportunities for girls to discover, connect, and take action. Our programs are designed to be age-appropriate, girl-driven, inclusive, and tailored to the evolving interests and needs of today’s youth.
Beyond traditional troop activities, Girl Scouts engage in a variety of enriching experiences, including field trips, outdoor adventures, environmental stewardship, sports, community service, entrepreneurial projects, and STEAM activities. These experiences not only enhance their personal growth but also open doors to career exploration and skills development, helping them achieve their posthigh school goals.
Through Girl Scouting, girls cultivate courage, strength, and a deep sense of respect and understanding for others. We are committed to nurturing their full potential, preparing them to become thoughtful leaders and active citizens who drive positive change in their communities.
