Expectations

• 20 Hours of Silver Trefoil Hours

• Mentor young Girl Scouts

• Leadership opportunity

• Prep, travel, and cleanup time is included in hours

• Volunteer with your service unit

• Have fun!

Skills for Cookie Captains:

• Leadership – A higher up role for older girl scouts to mentor younger girls, which comes with responsibility

• Planning – Organizing meetings, events, and booths

• Communication – Talking with troop leaders, council, and GAB to check in on progress

• Exploremores!

• New rocky road cookie replacing S’mores!

• Our Cookie Captain position being implemented!

• Caregiver and youth booths

Daisy Mentoring

• Meet with troop leader 2-3 weeks before to plan.

• Have fun + bring the energy!

• Choose your topic with the leader. Topics can include: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills, and/or Business Ethics

• Know the products to teach the daises!

• Practice safety and etiquette

• Badges - Cookie Goal Setter Badge, My First Cookie Business Badge Money Counts Leaf or part of Making Choices Leaf

• Use an example of sliding down a high slide

• Discuss that big goals should be broken down into several small goals

• Do a quick math scenario or two as a group to model the concept of money management

Example of how to get your hours:

• 2 hours for training, quiz, and welcome letter

• +3 hours volunteering in any Girl Scout activities

• +3 hours with delivery day

• +6 hours at Daisy Booths

• +2 hours helping at a Daisy Meeting

• +4 hours planning and helping at a cookie rally

*Each participant gets a google drive link with resources and badge after completion!
