Want to work at camp someday? Come join the fun! You’ll learn about leadership, teamwork, child development and more as you help in units and program areas. Visit other camps in Northern Arizona and start working with younger girls. CITs at Willow Springs will be sleeping in Yurts in the Pima Unit.

leadership camps
Do you want to work with kids and horses in the future? If you have completed CIT 1 and are interested in becoming a riding instructor, this is the perfect program. WIT is a leadership program, not a riding program. Spend three weeks learning how to prepare and teach ground and arena lessons for younger girls. Complete a horse related service project and take part in an all-day trail ride. You will also help saddle, groom, feed and care for the horses. Girls enrolled in the WIT program must have advanced riding abilities and horsemanship experience. You must be able to independently saddle, bridle, groom, and control your horse at a walk, trot, and lope with a balanced seat. Counselor in Training 2 @ camp maripai, Shadow Rim, or willow Springs GRADES 11-12
21 day | $260 | week 2, 3 and 4
If you have completed CIT 1, then you may be ready for CIT 2. Depending on your interests and strengths, you will choose a specific area in which to focus, and further your leadership, teamwork, and teaching skills within that area. Learn how to develop and deliver program, and complete a service project and spend your time doing whatever it is you love most at camp! CITs at Willow Springs will be sleeping in Yurts in the Pima Unit. Must have completed Counselor in Training I.

Counselor in Training 3 @ camp maripai or shadow Rim GRADES 11-12
6 day | $45 | you choose your weeks
If you have completed CIT 1 and CIT 2/WIT, then you could be ready for CIT 3! This extension of the CIT program allows girls to work in units alongside counselors or specialize in select program areas like archery, canoeing or the barn! You can intern for one week or the entire summer. The first week is $45, and all additional weeks are FREE! Contact a Camp Director for an application. Must have completed Counselor in Training 1 and 2/Wranger in Training.
