Wouldn’t it be good if every year we could depend on summer weather such as we enjoyed this year? We would gladly carry out the non-stop watering in exchange for lovely warm, sunny days. But of course nothing is guaranteed, and so in our planning we have to do our best to choose plants that will perform well whatever the weather. If the sun shines it’s a bonus. Most of our plantings are still showing a fair bit of colour, although it was noticeable that geraniums seemed to flower themselves to a stop earlier than usual. Although one of our displays in the centre of the village again suffered some damage - vandalism or perhaps just high spirits - the overwhelming response from local folk is very positive and encouraging. Thank you for your comments and a special thank you to those who made unsolicited donations.
Bulb Planting 28th October Lochwinnoch Community Garden will be planting bulbs around the village on Sunday 28th October - come and join in and make the village pretty and colourful in the spring. Meet at the Parish church at 2pm. There will be tea and coffee too!
