FRANCHISING AVANÇA PELO INTERIOR COM GRANDES MARCAS Franchising advances through the interior with major brands

O crescimento das cidades do interior e o surgimento de novos polos de desenvolvimento regional estão atraindo investimentos no segmento do franchising. Se antes o foco das grandes marcas do varejo brasileiro era exclusivamente os shoppings centers das capitais, hoje o cenário é completamente diferente. Há pelo menos oito anos, o brasileiro que mora em cidades do interior tem observado a presença cada vez maior de grandes marcas nos centros comerciais. Sem espaço para o surgimento de novos shoppings nas grandes cidades e com o aumento do potencial das cidades localizadas fora das regiões metropolitanas, este tem sido o destino de muitas redes de franquias.

Em 2015, dados da Associação Brasileira de Franchising (ABF), levantados com exclusividade para o Sebrae, indicavam que 75% das marcas associadas à entidade estavam nas capitais e nas regiões metropolitanas e apenas 25% estavam nos municípios do interior do País, indicando um grande potencial para o mercado.

Já em 2016, o franchising estava presente em 2.321 dos 5.570 municípios brasileiros, ou seja, atingiu 42% das cidades. “A maior capilaridade das redes para cidades menores, fora dos grandes centros urbanos, deverá se manter nos próximos anos. A busca das redes por novos mercados, os custos mais baixos e o desejo dos consumidores de ter acesso a marcas conhecidas e a seus produtos e serviços são fatores que contribuem para esse movimento”, comenta Claudio Tieghi, diretor de inteligência de mercado da ABF.

The growth of the cities of the interior and the emergence of new poles of regional development are attracting investments for the franchising segment. If before this, the focus of the major brands of the Brazilian retail was exclusively the shopping malls of capitals, today the scenario is completely different. For at least eight years, the Brazilian who lives in cities of the interior has observed the increasing presence of big brands in the strip malls. With no space for the emergence of new malls in the major cities and with the potential of cities located outside metropolitan areas, this has been the destination of many franchise networks.

Foi de olho na interiorização da Morana que, em 2012, o Grupo Ornatus criou a Morana Light, um formato de franquia desenvolvido exclusivamente para atender cidades com população entre 70 mil e 200 mil habitantes. Potencial de consumo, demanda reprimida e polos comerciais próximos são outras características importantes consideradas no momento da escolha da cidade.

Ana Cecília Pezzi tem uma Morana no centro de Poços de Caldas (MG) e outra em São João da Boa Vista (SP). Na cidade mineira, o shopping não atrai a atenção dos moradores, levando todo o fluxo para a rua. “Os turistas contam que adoram caminhar tranquilamente pelas ruas, sem se preocupar com a violência. No shopping, sentem-se enclausurados e, nas ruas, têm a sensação de liberdade.” Já em São João da Boa Vista, como há poucos turistas, quem consome é a população local ou de cidades vizinhas. “O lazer é passear na avenida. Então, eles passeiam, olham a vitrine, gostam, entram e acabam comprando.”

In the city at the Minas Gerais state, the mall does not attract the attention of the residents, taking all the flow to the street. "Tourists say they love to walk quietly on the streets, without worrying about violence. At the mall, they feel cloistered, and in the streets they have the feeling of freedom. "In São João da Boa Vista, as there are few tourists, the consumption is made by the local population or neighboring cities.

"Leisure is strolling on the promenade. So they stroll, look in the window, like something, go in and end up buying.”

Apesar de Ana Cecília não ter loja em shopping, conhece bem a rotina, por atuar no varejo. “A gestão da loja de rua é mais tranquila. Funcionamos com horário reduzido, de segunda a sábado, das 9h às 19h. Aos feriados, abrimos conforme as demais lojas.” Os custos também são mais baixos. “Não temos taxa de condomínio, 13º aluguel nem dois turnos”, diz. Em Poços de Caldas, ela tem quatro colaboradoras; em São João da Boa Vista, são três, para garantir que a equipe não fique desfalcada em caso de emergência ou quando ela precisa se ausentar.

MORANA BUSCA INVESTIDORES PARA EXPANSÃO EM 30 CIDADES Em 2017, o Grupo Ornatus continuará de olho nesse mercado. O mapeamento realizado pela empresa identificou cerca de 30 cidades com potencial para uma operação da marca. Elas estão localizadas tanto no interior como em regiões metropolitanas e no litoral. “Nosso foco são investidores que tenham perfil empreendedor e com sinergia para trabalhar com acessórios. Para isso, realizamos uma análise detalhada para detectar as competências e capacidades técnicas de cada candidato interessado. Além disso, a análise da capacidade financeira é necessária para a efetivação da implementação do negócio, até para que exista uma consultoria ao pretenso franqueado na hora de realizar o investimento”, esclarece Marcio Ucha, coordenador de Expansão do Grupo Ornatus.

O valor de investimento de uma Morana Light é de no mínimo R$ 225 mil, enquanto uma operação tradicional requer R$ 100 mil a mais de capital. Com faturamento médio de R$ 40 mil, o retorno do investimento ocorre entre 24 e 36 meses.

The investment value of a Morana Light is of at least R$ 225 thousand, while a traditional operation requires R$ 100 thousand more capital.

With average sales of R$ 40 thousand, the return on investment occurs between 24 and 36 months.

É só caminhar pelos bairros mais sofisticados de São Paulo para observar a presença de redes como Havaianas, Kopenhagen, Puket, Óticas Carol e Hering. A força do comércio de rua vem do potencial de consumo das localidades, mas o que também desperta a atenção das marcas e dos investidores é o custo operacional, menor que o dos tradicionais malls do País.

The focus of the major brands of the Brazilian retail isn’t exclusively anymore to the shopping malls. Just walk through the most sophisticated neighborhoods of São Paulo to observe the presence of networks like Havaianas, Kopenhagen, Puket, Óticas Carol or Hering. The strength of the street commerce comes from the potential of local consumption, but what also awakens the attention of brands and investors is the lower operating cost compared to the traditional malls of the country.

Um estudo realizado em 2014, por meio de uma parceria entre a Deloitte e a Associação Brasileira de Franchising (ABF), revelou que, para mais da metade das franqueadoras, a unidade de maior faturamento da rede era uma loja de rua (53%). Quando se tratava da maior rentabilidade, a diferença entre ambos aumentava (63% para as lojas de rua e 23% para as de shopping), reflexo, principalmente, dos menores custos envolvidos na operação.

A study conducted in 2014 in partnership with Deloitte and the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) revealed that for more than half of the franchisers, the largest revenue unit in the network was a street store (53%). When it came to higher profitability, the difference between them increased (63% for street stores and 23% for mall stores), mainly reflecting the lower costs involved in the operation.

De olho no potencial do comércio de bairros de médio e alto padrão, a Morana, marca já consolidada como a maior rede de acessórios femininos do País, busca investidores interessados nesse mercado. Marcio Ucha, coordenador de Expansão da empresa, lembra que a rede já está presente em bairros paulistanos como Brooklin, Itaim Bibi e Jardim Guedala, na região do Morumbi. A Morana conta, ainda, com uma loja em Copacabana, no Rio de Janeiro, e outra no bairro da Pampulha, em Belo Horizonte. Mas o profissional revela que há muito espaço para a marca em outras localidades. “Já estamos presentes em muitos shoppings, e isso foi fundamental para a marca ganhar o reconhecimento que tem hoje.

Portanto, nossa estratégia para 2017 é estar também em ruas tradicionais, o que vai gerar retorno financeiro para o franqueado e ainda mais visibilidade para a marca.”

Com custo de ocupação mais baixo e número menor de colaboradores, estes negócios têm apresentado uma ótima relação custo-benefício. Nas lojas de rua, os custos do ponto se resumem a aluguel e IPTU, enquanto no shopping o investidor deve acrescentar condomínio, fundo de propaganda e taxa administrativa. “Percebemos que todas essas particularidades favorecem a expansão das marcas. Hoje essa é a principal tendência nas grandes redes.”

Expansão Na prática, como funciona?

Em julho de 2016, Erika Ferreira abriu uma operação da Morana na Rua Barão do Triunfo, no bairro do Brooklin, em São Paulo. Desde o início, a intenção era que o negócio fosse aberto em uma rua comercial. “Eu queria trabalhar perto de casa e ter mais tempo para ficar com meus filhos. Mas, com a crise, tínhamos receio de abrir um negócio próprio. Depois de muita pesquisa, sentimos confiança no Grupo Ornatus. Apesar de já termos um ponto comercial, a Expansão nos sugeriu um ponto que seria melhor do que o nosso. Depois de muito estudo por parte deles e nossa também, decidimos abrir a loja”, lembra.

Naturalmente, por estar presente em uma rua, a operação tem gastos menores em relação ao shopping. “Comparando com o fluxo e o faturamento de uma loja como a do Shopping Ibirapuera, por exemplo, é óbvio que lá os valores são maiores, mas os gastos também. Minhas principais despesas são com aluguel, água, luz e funcionários”, diz.

Expansion In practice, how does it work?

In July 2016, Erika Ferreira opened a Morana operation on Rua Barão do Triunfo, in the neighborhood of Brooklin, in São Paulo. My main expenses are with rent, water, electricity and employees.”

Erika acredita que um dos segredos para uma operação de rua dar certo é uma gestão sempre presente e a criação de mecanismos de fidelização. Com bancos, consultórios, lojas e condomínios ao redor, ela investe para que esse público retorne. Atendimento próximo ao cliente e divulgação da loja são suas principais ações. “Quem vem uma vez na minha loja sempre volta. Temos um banco de madeira na porta, servimos café e acompanhamos os clientes até a porta. Muitos passam apenas para conversar e os atendemos da mesma forma”, conta. A operação da Erika funciona das 9h às 19h e, aos sábados, das 9h às 18h.

São locais muito estratégicos, que favorecem a compra por impulso e recebem diariamente um grande número de pessoas. Em São Paulo, os principais bairros são Vila Mariana, Jardins, Vila Madalena, Pompeia, Alto da Lapa, Pinheiros, Saúde e Tatuapé. Já no Rio de Janeiro estamos em busca de investidores para Ipanema e Leblon”, revela Ucha.

EM NOVOS FORMATOS NOS ESTADOS UNIDOS De olho nas oportunidades do mercado norte-americano, o Grupo Ornatus intensificou nos últimos anos o processo de internacionalização da rede Morana. Em 2016, a empresa contratou a McMillan Doolitte, uma das principais consultorias de varejo dos Estados Unidos, para a realização de um estudo de mercado. O trabalho de construção da marca em solo norte-americano será desenvolvido em diversos canais, como o shopping in shopping e o store in store. No primeiro, a Morana estará inserida em ambientes frequentados por brasileiros, ao lado de marcas como a Havaianas.

“São pontos de venda que trabalham com uma grande diversidade de produtos para brasileiros. Como a Morana é líder na categoria, eles ficam entusiasmados em poder comprar os produtos da marca fora do Brasil”, explica Francivon Melo, gestor do núcleo de Planejamento do Grupo Ornatus.

Vamos mais do que duplicar as mercadorias e, devido à grande aceitação, lançaremos a categoria de anéis em todos os pontos”, diz Zensen.

ABF premia as melhores franquias do ano MAIS DE 200 MARCAS CONQUISTARAM O PRÊMIO, ENTRE ELAS, A MORANA E A BALONÈ FASHION BIJOUX ABF rewards the best franchises of the year - More than 200 brands won the award, among them, Morana and Balonè Fashion Bijoux Em abril, a Associação Brasileira de Franchising (ABF) revelou quais marcas conquistaram o Selo Excelência em Franchising 2017, concedido apenas às redes mais bem avaliadas por seus franqueados.

In April, the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) revealed which brands have won the Seal of Excellence in Franchising 2017, awarded only to the best evaluated networks by its network franchisees.

Das 227 marcas inscritas na 27ª edição do prêmio, 204 receberam o selo. “De fato, receber esta chancela, num momento de tantas turbulências, incertezas e em meio à maior recessão da história deste País, deve ser motivo de muita celebração pelas marcas que a conquistaram. Cumprimento todas as redes de franquia que concorreram e, de forma especial, as chanceladas com o Selo de Excelência”, diz Altino Cristofoletti Junior, presidente da ABF.

A Pesquisa do SEF, realizada com os franqueados das marcas inscritas, revelou que as redes que conquistaram o Selo em 2017 dedicaram-se intensamente ao fortalecimento da relação franqueador-franqueado, trabalharam ainda mais próximas de seus parceiros de negócios, com foco apurado nos indicadores de performance das unidades. Essas marcas investiram ainda mais na consultoria de campo, nas ferramentas de marketing e nas redes sociais, com o objetivo de ficarem mais próximas dos consumidores e dos franqueados.

“Já prevíamos que 2016 seria um ano difícil e foi realmente o ano de fazer mais com menos, o que levou as redes chanceladas a estreitar ainda mais os laços com seus franqueados, intensificar a renegociação com seus fornecedores, rever processos, lançar mão de novos formatos e novas estratégias.

Enfim, essas marcas tiveram ouvidos e olhares mais atentos e apurados a tudo e foram mais ágeis na tomada de decisão”, observa o presidente da ABF, Altino Cristofoletti Junior.

A Pesquisa do Selo de Excelência em Franchising ABF é feita por uma empresa especializada, por amostragem ou com todos os franqueados, de acordo com o tamanho da rede.

As questões que compõem a pesquisa são estruturadas em cinco quesitos, sendo quatro deles classificados como Índices de Performance: Econômica, Operacional, Relacionamento e Global. A média ponderada desses quatro índices compõe a pontuação final. Após a apuração da pontuação final, é considerado o bônus referente à pontuação no quesito Sustentabilidade. As marcas participantes que obtiverem pontuação maior ou igual a 75 são chanceladas com o Selo de Excelência em Franchising.

The SEF Survey, conducted with franchisees of the registered brands, revealed that the networks that won the Seal in 2017 were intensely dedicated to strengthening the franchise-franchisee relationship, worked even closer to their business partners, focused on the performance indicators of the units. The Research into the Seal of Excellence in Franchising 2017 is done by a specialized company, by sampling or with all franchisees, according to the size of the network.

The questions that comprise the research are structured in five questions, four of them classified as Performance Index: Economic, Operational, Relationship and Global. The weighted average of these four indexes compose the final score. After the calculation of the final score, the bonus for the Sustainability score is considered. Participating brands that score higher or equal to 75 are certified with the Seal of Excellence in Franchising.

ABF FRANCHISING EXPO OCORRE EM JUNHO, EM SÃO PAULO ABF Franchising Expo held in June, in São Paulo

A ABF Franchising Expo é a principal vitrine do setor de franquias no Brasil e figura como a maior feira desse mercado no mundo. Neste ano, o evento, que é organizado pela Associação Brasileira de Franchising, será realizado entre os dias 21 e 24 de junho, no Expo Center Norte, na capital paulista, e terá a participação de cerca de 400 marcas.

A organização aguarda mais de 64 mil pessoas durante os quatro dias. “Ano após ano, a feira revela que há uma população qualificada e conhecedora do assunto. Cada vez mais, os visitantes chegam sabendo o que querem e com perguntas mais diretas para as empresas. Eles vão para a feira para afunilar um processo que já iniciaram e, muitas vezes, estão no evento apenas para a última etapa do processo”, explica Claudio Tieghi, diretor de inteligência de mercado da ABF. O Grupo Ornatus estará presente no evento com suas redes de acessórios Morana e Balonè Fashion Bijoux. “A expectativa é receber investidores mais qualificados, que tenham sinergia com nosso sistema de negócio e, principalmente, que tenham sinergia com nossas marcas. Percebemos que, cada vez mais, os visitantes têm se mostrado entendedores do sistema de franquias, e, com isso, a cada participação, temos colhido melhores resultados”, comenta Marcio Ucha, coordenador de Expansão da empresa.

ABF Franchising Expo is the main showcase of the franchise sector in Brazil and is the largest fair in this market in the world. This year, the event organized by the Brazilian Franchising Association will be held between June 21 and 24, at the Expo Center Norte, in the city of São Paulo, having the participation of about 400 brands.

The organization expects more than 64,000 people during the four days. "Year after year, the fair reveals that there is a qualified and knowledgeable population of the subject. Em 2017, o evento apresentará algumas novidades. A primeira delas é a área Minha Franquia, reservada para a apresentação de soluções de fornecedores do franchising. O espaço Palavra da Marca apresentará cases e palestras para gerar uma maior aproximação entre as marcas e os investidores. Já no Smart Mall ABF, serão destacadas as tendências em tecnologia aplicada ao varejo de diversos segmentos e portes.

Tieghi revela ainda que, em parceria com a APEX, será realizada a segunda edição do Projeto Comprador ABF, uma missão internacional com a presença de grupos econômicos, fundos de investimento e marcas que tenham interesse em vir para Brasil ou levar marcas brasileiras para o exterior.

Dentre outras iniciativas, está também a Arena do Conhecimento, que será utilizada tanto pela ABF como por expositores. Serão dois grandes espaços para apresentação de cases, conteúdo e cursos gratuitos, ministrados em arenas instaladas em meio à área de exposição, para disseminar ainda mais conhecimento sobre o setor.

Among other initiatives, there is also the Knowledge Arena, which will be used by both ABF and exhibitors. There will be two great spaces for presentation of cases, content and free courses, taught in arenas installed in the middle of the exhibition area, to disseminate even more knowledge about the sector.

Seu negócio não é uma fonte inesgotável de dinheiro, ao contrário do que pensam os empreendedores que vivem mamando nos resultados, não se preocupando com a expansão ou o fortalecimento de sua empresa contra a concorrência. Essa é outra grande armadilha. Sua empresa é o maior investimento de sua vida. Como todo investimento, requer dinheiro (reinvestimento) e estratégia para gerar os melhores frutos.

Quando nascem, as empresas geralmente carecem do capital ideal para alcançar sucesso. Esse capital ideal se constitui de dinheiro para investir na infraestrutura, recursos para o capital de giro por pelo menos 12 meses (prazo em que aprendemos quais estratégias e quais pessoas realmente devem ficar na empresa) e também recursos para manter a família do empreendedor durante o prazo em que ele não pensa em tirar lucros do negócio.

O capital de giro falta, na maioria dos casos, porque empreendedores usam seu próprio dinheiro para estruturar seu negócio, quando deveriam recorrer a bancos para financiar bens tangíveis. Deixe para usar seu dinheiro na emergência, não na oportunidade. Ou, então, para investir nas pessoas, não para comprar coisas.

A melhor estratégia para obtermos bom crédito é provar aos bancos e fornecedores que temos dinheiro e que só estamos consultando a viabilidade de usar o deles. Bancos emprestam mais facilmente e mais barato a quem menos precisa. Fornecedores oferecem mais prazos a empresas que não balançam nas crises. O que determina se o dinheiro estará ou não disponível para sua empresa é seu histórico e sua competência para segurar as rédeas. Cuide bem, portanto, de seu planejamento e de seu crédito.

Estude o mercado

Antes de qualquer coisa, estude a fundo o mercado de franquias, seja realizando leituras em livros, seja pesquisando em sites ou órgãos de referência, como a Associação Brasileira de Franchising (ABF) e o Sebrae. Jamais invista o seu capital, que muitas vezes é resultado de uma vida inteira de trabalho, em um sistema sem conhecer suas regras e os direitos e deveres dos envolvidos.

Investimento

A pergunta que você deve fazer ao chegar nessa etapa é: “esse investimento cabe no meu bolso?”. Apure o capital que você tem disponível para abrir o negócio e reflita sobre qual franquia deseja adquirir.

“A recomendação é que dentro desse valor se considere o investimento para montar a franquia, o ponto comercial, o valor das taxas a serem pagas para a franqueadora, o capital de giro para ser usado até a operação dar lucro e, ainda, como você irá se sustentar ao iniciar uma franquia, ou seja, se você for depender da franquia desde o primeiro mês, ela vai precisar de um capital maior”, orienta Claudio Tieghi, diretor de inteligência de mercado da ABF.

A escolha do segmento

A feira de franquias da ABF reunirá cerca de 400 marcas. Você já imaginou como irá escolher a que mais se adapta ao seu perfil? Sim, você deve descobrir quais são as áreas com as quais você tem maior afinidade. Se você não gosta de cozinhar, talvez o segmento de Alimentação não seja o melhor caminho, por mais rentável que lhe pareça ser.

Anote, porque aí vai mais uma dica: a escolha do segmento é um dos passos mais importantes nesse processo. Lembre-se de que você irá se dedicar ao negócio e poderá passar boa parte do seu tempo dentro da operação. Por isso, escolha um segmento que lhe agrade e com o qual sinta prazer em trabalhar. “A franquia até pode dar muito lucro, mas, às vezes, não há afinidade com o negócio. Quando você afunila sua busca, determinando com o que quer trabalhar, passa a pesquisar somente as marcas de tais segmentos e que estariam dentro do seu potencial de investimento”, indica Tieghi.

O diretor de inteligência da ABF lembra, ainda, que o investidor deverá colocar ao menos três marcas escolhidas em um processo de seleção. Esse momento é importante tanto para o franqueado quanto para a franqueadora. Tieghi diz que é nessa etapa que a empresa avalia se o candidato tem o perfil para ser franqueado, enquanto o investidor identifica as diferenças entre as marcas que escolheu, as afinidades, o DNA, como as pessoas se comportam e se ele se identifica com o sócio-fundador da marca.

The director of intelligence of ABF also reminds, that the investor shall put at least three brands chosen in a selection process. This moment is important to both the franchisee and the franchisor. Tieghi says it is in this stage that company assesses whether the candidate has the profile to be franchisee, while the investor identifies the differences between the brands he chose, the affinities, the DNA, how people behave and if he identifies with founding partner of the brand.

Você sabe qual é o seu perfil? Sabe, por exemplo, se é melhor em vendas ou com a parte financeira? Muitos investidores não entendem a importância disso para o futuro do seu negócio e acreditam que podem cuidar de tudo sozinhos e ao mesmo tempo. Saber com quais áreas você tem mais afinidade é tão importante quanto as demais etapas do processo. Mas não se desespere porque, segundo Tieghi, muitas marcas fazem um teste de perfil para identificar o principal papel do franqueado e os gaps que ele tem para administrar uma franquia. Ele até poderá ser aprovado, mas com algumas ressalvas. As ressalvas poderão ser supridas com a contratação de um profissional para atuar na sua área de menor afinidade.

Essa sigla será recorrente em qualquer processo de seleção de franquia. A COF, Circular de Oferta de Franquias, é um documento entregue pela franqueadora, no qual constam as informações sobre a empresa e os valores de investimento. “A COF é um documento de lei federal que vai além de uma base contratual. O investidor saberá qual é a previsão de investimento necessário, quem é a marca, o que ela oferece, qual o perfil ideal do franqueado, o que a empresa espera dele e o plano de negócio.” Saiba que a legislação não permite que um candidato assine um contrato por impulso. Isso só poderá ocorrer 10 dias após o recebimento da COF. Dessa maneira, terá tido tempo para refletir sobre a negociação e esclarecer eventuais dúvidas.

As franqueadoras poderão apresentar o plano de negócio em formato de Demonstrativo de Resultados (DRE) com uma previsão de todos os gastos, faturamento ao longo dos primeiros anos e previsão de retorno do investimento. “É preciso analisar bem essa planilha, porque o empresário não pode ter uma visão turva do que irá sobrar no final do mês”, diz Tieghi.

Marcio Ucha, coordenador de Expansão do Grupo Ornatus, ressalta que o candidato deve analisar o plano de negócio tendo ciência dos três pilares que demonstram a viabilidade da operação: a lucratividade líquida, a rentabilidade do negócio sobre o valor investido e, consequentemente, o payback, ou seja, o tempo de retorno do investimento.

The COF, the Franchise Offering Circular, is a document delivered by the franchisor, which contains information about the company and the investment amounts. "The COF is a federal law document that goes beyond a contractual basis. The investor will know what the necessary investment forecast is, who the brand is, what it offers, what the franchisee's ideal profile is, what the company expects from it, and the business plan. “Know that the legislation does not allow a candidate to sign an contract on impulse. This can only occur 10 days after receipt of COF. This way, you will have had time to reflect on the negotiation and clarify eventual doubts.

The franchisers will be able to present the business plan in the format of the Income Statement (DRE) with a forecast of all expenses, billing over the first few years and forecast of return on investment.

"You have to take a good look at this spreadsheet, because the entrepreneur can not have a blurred view of what's left over at the end of the month," Tieghi says.

Marcio Ucha, coordinator of Expansion of the Ornatus Group, emphasizes that the candidate must analyze the business plan having knowledge of the three pillars that demonstrate the viability of the operation: net profitability, business profitability on invested value and, consequently, payback, i.e. the time of return on investment.

Idoneidade da franqueadora

Pesquise, pesquise e pesquise muito a origem, a gestão e a idoneidade da franqueadora. Busque referências sobre a marca junto à ABF, entidade que representa o sistema e confere às marcas mais bem avaliadas pelos franqueados o Selo de Excelência em Franquia.

Outra dica fundamental é ouvir a experiência de quem tem ou já teve uma franquia da marca escolhida. “Converse com os fraqueados que também não deram certo. Um processo seletivo bem conduzido é estruturado para minimizar riscos e eliminar falsas expectativas.”

Avalie, ainda, se o que a franqueadora diz realmente ocorre na prática e descubra se ela tem estudos de mercado sobre a região escolhida. “É fundamental ter o máximo de informações. O candidato não pode simplesmente aceitar a informação.” A dica de Tieghi é visitar a região, observar o local com olhos de empresário, identificar os concorrentes e em quais ruas eles estão ou, ainda, contratar um serviço de geoestatística. “Esse estudo de mercado deve ser feito independentemente do estudo da franqueadora. Pergunte ainda como será em cinco ou dez anos, se a praça será só sua ou se poderá, por exemplo, ter algum outro franqueado na região”, orienta o executivo da ABF.

Gestão operacional

Ter uma boa franqueadora por trás de uma marca é fundamental.

Mas isso não significa que você terá de trabalhar menos ou que terá férias duas vezes ao ano. Esse tipo de negócio demanda sim muito trabalho, seja de gestão de pessoas, operacional ou de estoque.

Apesar de a marca já ter a sua própria identidade visual, o franqueado deverá trabalhar para que ela seja conhecida na região. Além disso, seus colaboradores deverão estar alinhados com o perfil do negócio e trabalhar em parceria. “Investir em treinamento dos funcionários faz com que a experiência do consumidor se confirme de maneira positiva.”

Assessoria

A última dica de Tieghi é contratar serviços para ajudar nas questões mais técnicas, como um contador, que realizará todo o processo contábil e tributário da empresa; um advogado, que será útil desde o momento da assinatura do contrato; um escritório de arquitetura; e uma empresa de estudo de mercado. “Esse tipo de investimento custa, muitas vezes, menos de 10% do investimento total do negócio. É uma oportunidade para o investidor começar o negócio minimizando riscos”, finaliza.

This type of business requires a lot of work, whether it is people management, operational or stock. Although the brand already has its own visual identity, the franchisee must work to make it known in the region. In addition, your employees should be aligned with the business profile and work in partnership. "Investing in employee training makes the consumer experience positively confirmed."

Advisory Tieghi's last tip is to hire services to help with more technical issues, such as an accountant, who will perform the entire accounting and tax process of the company; a lawyer, who will be useful from the moment the contract is signed; an architecture office; and a market research firm. "This type of investment often costs less than 10% of the total investment of the business. It is an opportunity for the investor to start the business minimizing risks”, complete.

Já imaginou uma empresa em que as decisões são tomadas por todos?

Já pensou como seria uma organização sem a tradicional estrutura vertical, em que o formato pirâmide eleva o nível do profissional em termos de cargos e salários? O contrário disso é a chamada gestão colaborativa, também conhecida como gestão horizontal, em que um dos destaques é o envolvimento dos colaboradores nos processos de desenvolvimento e nas decisões da empresa.

O formato costuma agradar os jovens das gerações Y e Millennials, o que tem estimulado o nascimento de empresas com essa estrutura, assim como a migração de outras. “Essa geração já nasce colaborativa e, por isso, quer fazer junto em vez de receber ordens. Por esse motivo, muitas empresas não estão conseguindo reter esses jovens.

E uma das maneiras de reter é compartilhando o poder. Essa geração quer crescer profissionalmente, busca a autorrealização, e isso não significa subir de hierarquia”, revela Cassia.

For this same reason many companies are not being able to keep these young people. And one of the ways to keep them is by sharing power. This generation wants to grow professionally, they seek self-realization and this does not mean going up in hierarchy”, Cassia reveals.

Na Liv Up, start up de comida congelada fundada há pouco mais de um ano em São Paulo, é exatamente assim que funciona. A empresa já nasceu nesse formato, e a inspiração veio da vivência no centro acadêmico da universidade, do qual os sócios, todos amigos, faziam parte. Thiago Vasconcellos, cofundador da empresa explica que não há uma definição para nenhum cargo. “Nós não usamos a nomenclatura no dia a dia. Os cargos dentro de cada time não são claros, inclusive os funcionários não os têm na assinatura do e-mail. Gostamos de nos dividir em times, como o time da expedição, da produção e do marketing. A nosso ver, essa nomenclatura teria uma importância maior só para o currículo, caso o colaborador saia da

Thiago Vasconcellos, co-founder of the company, explains that there is no definition for his and the other jobs. “We do not use the nomenclature in the everyday work. The positions within each team are not clear, and the employees do not have them in their email signature”. We like to divide us in teams, such as expedition team, production team and marketing team. From our point of view, this nomenclature would be

O ambiente de trabalho aberto, sem paredes nas salas, assim como o compartilhamento de informações e a colaboração de todos nas tomadas de decisões são algumas das práticas adotadas pela start up. Metas, objetivos, relatórios de venda diários, produção, estoque e cardápios são compartilhados com todos, a fim de que acompanhem o desenvolvimento da empresa. “Além disso, grande parte das decisões tem influência de todos, inclusive da equipe operacional. Temos um colaborador que é responsável pela separação dos pedidos, e ele foi uma das pessoas que decidiu como íamos entregar os kits. A opinião de todos precisa ser valorizada.”

Outra maneira de as empresas trabalharem com essa estrutura é designar profissionais para projetos, pois as empresas aproveitam melhor os colaboradores quando os utilizam de acordo com a sua área de conhecimento. “Cada vez mais as máquinas substituem a mão de obra. E para criar essas máquinas, as empresas precisam de pessoas com conhecimento e não força de trabalho”, diz Cassia.

The open work atmosphere, without walls in the rooms, as well as the information sharing and the collaboration with everybody in decision-making, are some of the practices adopted by the start up.

Targets, goals, daily sale reports, production, stock, menus are shared with everyone for them to follow up the company´s development.

“Furthermore, most of the decisions are influenced by everybody, including the operational team. We have a collaborator, who is responsible to separate the orders and he was one of the people to decide how we would deliver the kits. Everyone´s opinion must be valued”.

Another way for the companies to work with this structure is to designate professionals to the projects, because the companies use better their collaborators when they use them according to their knowledge area. “Machines increasingly replace workforce. And to create these machines, the companies need people with knowledge and not workforce”, says Cassia.

The coach also reveals that at one of her clients, a very conservative

Na Liv Up, o sócio mais velho tem 29 anos e o mais jovem, 24. Cada um atua em uma das seis áreas da empresa. O turnover é baixo e Vanconcellos, que atua na área de Logística e Operações, credita isso às características de gestão da empresa. Reuniões de feedback e brainstorming são frequentes. “Um bom exemplo foi quando tivemos queda na taxa de recompra. Nós nos reunimos para pensar em como melhorar a experiência do cliente e deixá-lo mais interessado em recomprar nossos produtos. Fizemos isso em uma reunião numa sexta à noite, tomando cerveja e batendo papo, e o resultado foi muito bom, com ideias que conseguimos aplicar e aumentar a taxa de recompra.”

At Liv Up, the oldest partner is 29 years old and the youngest, 24.

Each one acts in one of the six areas of the company. The turnover is low and Vasconcellos attributes this to the company´s management characteristics. Feedback e brainstorming meetings are frequent. “A good example was when our repurchase rate decreased. We gathered to think about how to improve the clients’ experience and make them more interested in repurchasing our products. We made it in a meeting on Friday night, drinking beer and talking, and the result was very good with ideas that we could apply and increase the repurchase rate”.

Vanconcellos diz não ser tão fácil assim fazer uma gestão colaborativa, mas lista os benefícios. “O resultado é muito legal porque percebemos até o operacional tomando decisões sem precisar que nós demos as idéias. Isso porque eles têm a visibilidade de onde estão os erros. Certa vez, eles, por conta própria, se reuniram para discutir como poderiam se organizar para reduzir os erros no envio dos pedidos. Demos muito valor a isso porque percebemos que estavam preocupados em fazer um bom trabalho.”

Vanconcellos says that it is not that easy to make a collaborative management, but he lists the benefits. “The result is very good because we noticed that even the operation department was making decisions with no need for us to give the ideas, because they have visibility where the errors are. Once, they met on their own to talk about how they could organize to reduce the errors in the shipment of orders. We value this a lot because we realized that they were worried about doing a good job”.

GESTÃO COLABORATIVA NO VAREJO

Collaborative management in retail

O varejo também pode colher bons frutos com a gestão horizontal, seja no escritório, seja no ponto de venda. Cassia diz que o formato pode ser ótimo também para motivar e sugere um olhar mais atencioso para quem acompanha de perto o cliente, ou seja, o vendedor e o gerente. Vale, por exemplo, compartilhar alguns processos com a equipe, e o retorno será interação, engajamento e motivação.

O maior desafio dessa gestão é mudar o modelo mental ao qual o mercado já está acostumado. Para isso acontecer, é necessária uma transformação na cultura e na mentalidade. The biggest challenge for this management is to change the mental mode which the market is already accustomed to. For this to happens, it is necessary to transform culture and mentality. While this does not become natural, the processes can became slower, because they will involve more meetings, conflicts and decisions.

Em uma franquia, por exemplo, na qual o franqueado não tem muitas pessoas envolvidas no processo interno, Cassia sugere esse modelo de gestão. “Cada um terá a sua função, mas todos poderão opinar de maneira igual com o gerente ou o proprietário. Além disso, o feedback deve ser constante para aproximar ainda mais as pessoas. Para gerentes e vendedores, poderá ser difícil inicialmente, mas isso irá gerar ideias boas, porque as ações poderão ser pensadas juntas.” Essa gestão poderá resultar, ainda, em um engajamento maior. “O vendedor irá trabalhar com muito mais afinco para que a campanha que ele ajudou a criar naquele mês dê certo”, finaliza.

In a franchise, for example, where the franchisee does not have many people involved in the internal process, Cassia suggests this management model. “Everyone will have his job, but everybody can equally give opinion as the manager or the owner. Furthermore, feedback shall be constant to get people even closer. For managers and salesmen, it can be hard at the beginning, but it will create good ideas because the actions can be thought over together”. This management may also result in greater engagement. “The salesman will work much more determined for the campaign he helped creating that month to work out”, she completes.

Eles são milhares nas redes sociais e têm tanto prestígio e importância quanto muitas celebridades dos meios tradicionais. A cada dia, conquistam novos seguidores e influenciam pensamentos, atitudes e hábitos de consumo. Os influenciadores digitais se destacam pela espontaneidade, interação, conexão e, principalmente, relevância com o público. Mas quem são eles? Como as marcas os veem? E como eles impactam os usuários digitais?

Tiago Souza, professor do curso de Mídias Sociais Digitais do Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, resume quem são eles. “Um influenciador digital é alguém que, ao utilizar ou falar sobre um produto ou serviço em uma mídia on-line, gera desejo de consumo em um público relevante. Ele pode ser blogueiro, instagrammer ou youtuber, dependendo da sua plataforma de atuação.”

Para Adrianne Elias, CEO da CoCreators, agência de marketing de influência, um influenciador digital é muito mais do que um criador de conteúdo. “O que o torna um influenciador é a relevância do seu conteúdo para o seu público e não necessariamente o tamanho da audiência. Hoje em dia, temos muitos influenciadores de nichos, que falam sobre assuntos de interesse de um público muito específico, como a professora Cíntia Chagas, por exemplo, que dá aulas de português de um jeito irreverente, ou a Nathalia Arcuri, do canal Me Poupe!, que fala sobre finanças pessoais.”

Uma análise rápida desse universo revela que de fato há influenciadores de perfis variados e que engajam diferentes públicos, inclusive as crianças. Tem quem goste de cozinhar, de moda, viagem, artesanato, compras, jogos, decoração e até médicos falando sobre os mais variados temas da área da saúde. Já o seu alcance é impossível estimar, o que mostra que as plataformas digitais tornaram a informação pública, instantânea e democrática.

They are thousand in the social networks and have as much prestige and importance as many celebrities. Everyday they conquer new and influence thoughts, attitudes and consumption habits. The digital influencers stand out because of their spontaneity, interaction, connection and, mainly, relevance with the audience. But, who are they? How do brands see them? And how do they impact the digital users?

Tiago Souza, a teacher in the Digital Social Media course at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, summarizes who they are. “A digital influencer is someone who, while using or talking about a product or service in an online media, generates consumption desire for a relevant audience. He can also be a blogger, instagrammer or youtuber, depending on the operation platform”.

For Adrianne Elias, CEO of CoCreators, influence marketing agency, a digital influencer is much more than a content creator. “The relevance of their content for their audience is what makes them influencers, and not, necessarily, the size of the audience. Nowadays we have many niche influencers, who talk about subject of interest of a very specific audience, such as the teacher Cíntia Chagas, who teaches Portuguese in an irreverent way, or Nathalia Arcuri, from the Me Poupe! channel, who speaks about personal finance.”

A quick analysis of this universe revels that in fact there are influencers of varied profiles and who engage different audiences, including children. There are those who like cooking, fashion, travel, craftwork, shopping, games, decoration and even physicians talking about the most varied subjects of the health area. It is impossible to estimate the reach, showing that the digital platforms made information public, instantaneous and democratic.

Uma pesquisa realizada pela Snack Intelligence, plataforma de network brasileira, revelou quem são os 10 youtubers mais influentes do mundo. O segundo da lista é o brasileiro Whindersson Nunes, comediante e vlogueiro, e outros três figuram no mesmo rol.

A survey performed by Snack Intelligence, a Brazilian network platform, revealed who are the 10 most influential youtubers in the world. The second of the list is the Brazilian Whindersson Nunes and other three appear in the same list.

Ao se lançarem no mundo digital, essas personalidades começam a atrair a atenção não só das marcas, que os querem como embaixadores, como também das mídias, que naturalmente abrem novas oportunidades. E se a gestão dessa carreira for feita de maneira adequada, as possibilidades de negócios podem ser infinitas.

When they launch themselves in the digital world, these personalities start attracting a lot of attention, not only from brands, which want them as ambassadors, but also the media, which naturally open new opportunities.

And if the management of this career is done adequately, the business possibilities can be infinite.

Rita Lobo, do programa Cozinha Prática, do canal GNT, começou sua carreira digital em 2000, com o blog Panelinha, o primeiro da internet brasileira a mostrar receitas testadas e fotografadas. Hoje, ela tem um canal no YouTube, uma produtora de TV e uma editora de livros.

Em 2016, Helena Bordon, filha de Donatta Meirelles, diretora de estilo da revista Vogue, estava no ranking das 20 blogueiras mais influentes do mundo do site norte-americano Fashionista.com. Tudo começou com um blog, mas hoje ela tem uma grife de óculos e já assinou uma linha de calçados para a Capodarte. Há ainda quem tenha decidido se aventurar nesse mundo sem grandes pretensões, como Camila Coutinho, do blog Garotas Estúpidas, que se tornou uma das mais influentes e requisitadas blogueiras do meio.

Rita Lobo, from Cozinha Prática show on GNT, started her digital career in 2000 with the blog, Panelinha, the first on Brazilian internet to show tested and photographed recipes. Today, she has a channel on YouTube, a TV producer and a book publishing house.

In 2016, Helena Bordon, Donatta Meirelles´s daughter, Vogue style director, was in the ranking of the 20 most influential bloggers in the world of the American site Fashionista.com. Everything started with a blog, but today she has a glasses brand and she has already signed a shoes line for Capodarte.

There is a also person who decided to venture in this world with no big pretensions and became one of the most influent and requested people in the area, as Camila Coutinho, from Garotas Estúpidas blog.

O que esse cenário revela é que os influencers estão ganhando um espaço que antes era restrito às celebridades. Mas o que justifica tanto sucesso? Um estudo do Google descobriu que, para os jovens, os youtubers escutam e se relacionam mais do que as celebridades, resultando em relações muito mais de amizade do que de fãs.

What this scenario revels is that the influencers are gaining space, which was reserved for celebrities before. But, what justifies so much success? A Google study discovered that for the young people, youtubers listen and relate more than celebrities, resulting in much more friendly than fan relationship.

Estaria aí a grande diferença entre um e outro? Em parte, sim. Mas há outro detalhe muito importante chamado relevância. A mesma pesquisa indica que os vídeos dos top 25 do YouTube têm três vezes mais visualizações, duas vezes mais ações e 12 vezes mais comentários quando comparados com os das celebridades.

Would this be the big difference between one and another? Yeah, in part.

But there is another very important detail called relevance. The same survey indicates that videos from the YouTube’s top 25 have three times more views, twice more actions and 12 times more comments, when compared to celebrities.

No final de 2015, enquanto a jovem Julia Tolezano, 24, do canal Família Jout Jout, estrelava uma campanha da Vivo, a Tim contratava outra influenciadora de igual importância no meio digital, Kéfera Buchmann, 24, a primeira a atingir 1 milhão de seguidores no YouTube – hoje são mais de 10 milhões. A jovem não parou por aí. Desde então, Kéfera, que é atriz, fez sete peças de teatro e quatro filmes e lançou dois livros. No ano seguinte, Julia também não passou despercebida. Foi convidada pela ONU e pelo YouTube para participar de campanhas de empoderamento feminino. Desde a sua ascensão, ela já participou de programas de entrevistas como Jô Soares, Marília Gabriela e Altas Horas.

At the end of 2015, while the young Julia Tolezano, 24, from the Família Jout Jout channel was starring a Vivo campaign, Tim hired another one with equal digital importance: Kéfera Buchmann, 24, the first to achieve 1 million followers on YouTube – nowadays, there are more than 10 million. The girl did not stop there. Since then, Kéfera, who is an actress, participated in seven theater plays, four movies and published two books. In the following year, Julia did not go unnoticed as well. She was invited by ONU and YouTube to participate in campaigns for female empowerment. Since her ascent, she has already participated in talk shows, such as Jô Soares, Marília Gabriela and Altas Horas.

As duas jovens são exemplos de como as marcas estão antenadas à nova realidade das redes sociais e, mais do que isso, de como elas foram inseridas em suas estratégias de marketing. E não poderia ser diferente. Para boa parte dos jovens conectados, os influencers se tornaram personagens relevantes, que compartilham interesses, produtos de sua preferência, opiniões e até a vida pessoal.

The two young girls are examples of how brands are alert to the new social network reality, and, more than that, how they were inserted in their market strategies. And it couldn´t be different. For most of the connected young people, influencers became relevant characters who share interests, preference products, opinions and even the personal life.

Atento às conexões e às interações das celebridades digitais, o mundo corporativo está experimentando uma nova maneira de se conectar com seu público. “As marcas estão entendendo o movimento do consumidor de não ‘engolir’ mais a propaganda tradicional. E, de olho na ascensão dos youtubers e influenciadores digitais, consequentemente, estão voltando suas verbas para o conteúdo produzido por eles”, diz Adrianne.

The corporative world is alert to the digital celebrities´ connections and the interactions, experiencing a new way to connect with their audience.

“The brands are understanding the consumer´s movement not to accept traditional advertising anymore. And looking at the youtubers´ and digital influencers ascent, consequently, they are turning their budget to the content produced by them”, Adrianne says.

Souza explica que, como a maior parte do público desse universo é formada por nativos digitais e os influenciadores sabem falar a língua desses jovens, isso facilita o processo de comunicação. Outro fator relevante a ser considerado é a própria plataforma onde estão inseridos.

Foi pensando em conversar diretamente com quem é antenada ao universo da moda que, em 2015, a Balonè Fashion Bijoux decidiu passar a inserir influencers em suas campanhas. Jade Seba e Mariana Saad participaram de ações nos últimos dois anos. Já em 2017, a rede

trouxe quatro youtubers para dialogar com essas consumidoras. Ao longo da temporada Inverno 2017, Nah Cardoso, Mariana Sampaio, Camila Senna e Bruna Unzueta apresentarão os lançamentos da marca e darão suas dicas de como coordenar os acessórios e combiná-los com os mais diversos estilos.

A estratégia da marca é que, juntas, elas personifiquem a versatilidade da Balonè e o cuidado em fornecer uma curadoria de moda para suas consumidoras, ensinando a montar looks e a criar combinações com seus acessórios, respeitando as individualidades e as diferenças de personalidade e estilo.

Souza diz, ainda, que não importa o local onde eles estão. Naturalmente, as marcas estarão onde o consumidor estiver. “Se o seu público está na internet, em contato com diversos influenciadores, é lá que a marca irá agir. Se o público-alvo estiver assistindo televisão à tarde ou o Especial Roberto Carlos de fim de ano, é lá que ela vai agir. Vale lembrar que a influência não nasceu no digital. O primeiro garoto propaganda foi Babe Ruth, jogador de beisebol norte-americano, no final dos anos de 1930, para a marca de refrigerante Red Rock Cola.”

Engana-se quem pensa que os influencers são apenas aqueles com mais de 1 milhão de seguidores. Usuários com número menor de fãs também podem gerar engajamento conforme o seu nicho de interesse.

“Hoje em dia, qualquer pessoa com mais de mil seguidores pode ser considerada um influenciador digital, e as empresas trabalham tanto com os influenciadores de menor alcance quanto os de maior. Eles influenciam outras pessoas a usar e comprar produtos que eles mesmos usam”, diz Adrianne.

As mudanças no comportamento de consumo também colaboram para essa relação cada vez mais estreita entre as marcas e as personalidades digitais. “Os influenciadores agregam originalidade e autenticidade ao conteúdo da marca. Mas, para fazer isso de forma verdadeira, é preciso alinhar o conteúdo do influencer à mensagem da marca. Para isso, as agências especializadas estão ajudando cada vez mais as marcas a encontrar os influenciadores certos para suas campanhas. A CoCreators, por exemplo, atua desde o planejamento e a criação da ideia até o relatório final, garantindo que todas as entregas da campanha sejam cumpridas e os KPIs sejam atingidos e mensurados”, diz a CEO.

Souza also says that the place where they are doesn´t matter.

Naturally, brands will be where consumers are. “If your audience is on the internet, in contact with many influencers, so it is there that brand will act. If the target audience is watching television in the afternoon or Especial Roberto Carlos at the end of the year, it is there where it will act. It is worth remembering that influence was not born in the digital. The first poster boy was Babe Ruth, North American baseball player at the end of 30's, for the soda brand Red Rock Cola”.

Those who think that influencers are only those with more than 1 million followers, are mistaken. Users with lower number of fans can engage according to their interest niche. “Nowadays, anyone with more than one thousand followers can be considered a digital influencer, and the companies work both with small and large reach influencers. They influence other people to use and buy products they use themselves,” Adrianne says.

The changes in the consumption behavior also collaborate for this even more strict relationship between the brands and the digital personalities. “The influencers aggregate originality and authenticity to the brand’s content. But, to make this truly, it is necessary to align the influencer´s content to the brand message.

For this purpose, the specialized agencies are increasingly helping the brands to find the right influencers for their campaign. CoCreators, for example, operates since planning and creation of the idea to the final report, assuring that all campaign deliverables will be fulfilled and the KPIs will be achieved and measured”, the CEO says.

No cargo desde o início deste ano, Altino Cristofoletti Júnior falou com exclusividade para a Revista Ornatus sobre os atuais desafios do setor e sobre como os empreendedores podem passar por este ano mais fortalecidos.

Revista Ornatus – Empreender sempre esteve nos seus planos? Como você se tornou empreendedor?

Altino Cristofoletti – Sim, sou empreendedor desde jovem.

Antes de ser franqueador da Casa do Construtor, fui franqueado dos Correios e tive vários negócios relacionados à engenharia: construtora, fábrica de blocos e depósito de material elétrico e hidráulico. Em 2011, fui selecionado como Empreendedor Endeavor. Na ABF, fui Presidente da Comissão de Ética, integrante do Conselho de Associados e Vice-Presidente, antes de assumir a presidência, em janeiro de 2017.

R.O. – Qual será o desafio da sua gestão?

A.C. – Além de cumprir com a missão da ABF, que é ser a guardiã do sistema de franquias no Brasil, o principal desafio será engajar os associados para (re)consensar ideias e visões sobre o nosso propósito, a nossa missão e a nossa visão, com foco no longo prazo. Vamos promover um planejamento estratégico para pensar a ABF para 2030.

In the position since the beginning of this year, Altino Cristofoletti Júnior spoke exclusively to Ornatus Magazine about the current challenges of the sector and how entrepreneurs can go through this year more strengthened.

Ornatus Magazine - Start your own business has ever been in your plans? How did you become an entrepreneur?

Altino Cristofoletti – Yes, I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was young.

Before being a franchisor of the Casa do Construtor, I was franchisee of the Correios and had several engineering-related businesses: construction company, block factory, electrical and hydraulic warehouse. In 2011, I was selected as Endeavor Entrepreneur. At ABF, I was President of the Ethics Committee, a member of the Council of Associates and Vice-President, before assuming the presidency in January 2017.

O.M. – What will be the challenge of your management?

A.C. – In addition to fulfil the mission of ABF, which is to be the guardian of the franchise system in Brazil, the main challenge will be to engage the members to (re)agree ideas and visions about our purpose, our mission and our view with focus on to long-term. We are going to promote strategic planning to think ABF for 2030.

R.O. – Diante disso, qual será o foco dos trabalhos nos próximos dois anos?

A.C. – A proposta de nossa chapa é baseada em três pilares principais: Protagonismo, Educação e Sustentabilidade dos Negócios. Em Protagonismo, cumprimos a missão da ABF de ser Guardiã do Sistema. A proposta é dar continuidade à intensa articulação com as diversas instâncias do governo e com entidades correlatas do varejo, buscando, assim, melhorias tangíveis para o setor.

O.M. – In view of that, what will be the focus of the work in the next two years?

A.C. – The proposal of our coalition is based in three main pillars: Protagonism, Education and Business Sustainability. In Protagonism we fulfilled the mission of ABF in being Guardian of the System. The proposal is to continue the intense articulation with the various instances of the government and with related entities of the retail, thus seeking tangible improvements for the sector.

Em Educação, cumprimos a missão de sermos Formadores de Pessoas. A meta é aprofundar ainda mais a oferta de cursos de capacitação e conteúdos para franqueadores, profissionais do franchising e potenciais franqueados. Isso será feito por meio da expansão de plataformas online e pela manutenção da parceria com o Sebrae, que já levou conhecimento qualificado sobre o setor para mais de 200 cidades em todo o Brasil.

In Education we fulfill the mission of being People Trainers; the goal is to further deepen the offer of training courses and content for franchisors, franchise professionals and potential franchisees. This will be done through the expansion of online platforms and the maintenance of the partnership with Sebrae, which has already brought qualified knowledge about the sector to more than 200 cities throughout Brazil.

Já em Sustentabilidade dos Negócios, cumprimos a missão de sermos Promotores do Desenvolvimento. Vamos trabalhar, além da expansão, temas como governança, sucessão, controle das operações, consistência no planejamento e na formatação da rede como forma de incentivar uma visão ampla de sustentabilidade aplicada aos negócios.

R.O. – Em 2017, a ABF completa 30 anos. Qual é a importância da entidade para o setor e para quem deseja investir em uma franquia?

A.C. – Atualmente, temos cerca de 1.300 associados que representam quase 70% do faturamento do franchising nacional. De acordo com dados do WFC – World Franchising Council –, o Brasil ocupa a quarta colocação em número de marcas e a sexta em unidades no mundo. Logo, a ABF é a representante oficial de um setor vigoroso que não para de crescer, reunindo um conteúdo único e vital para quem deseja ingressar neste mercado. Podemos dizer também que, se você quer se relacionar com os principais players do nosso setor, a ABF é o local onde você deve estar. Vale lembrar, ainda, que a ABF é a segunda maior entidade do setor de franquias no mundo, atrás apenas da sua congênere nos Estados Unidos, a IFA – International Franchise Association.

R.O. – Quais são as expectativas da Associação para o ano de 2017?

A.C. – Nossa projeção para 2017 é que o mercado de franquias cresça de 7% a 9% em faturamento e cerca de 3% em unidades.

Esperamos um ano ainda desafiador, mas com um horizonte mais claro, o que deve abrir espaço para mais investimentos.

R.O. – Quais empresas ou empreendedores tendem a passar pelo atual momento mais estabilizados?

A.C. – Os mais preparados e em estreita sintonia com seus negócios. Em um ambiente tão instável, acompanhar o desempenho das lojas mês a mês, semana a semana e até dia a dia é ainda mais fundamental, a fim de subsidiar adaptações. Nesse sentido, a agilidade e a capacidade de inovação também são essenciais, pois geram valor a partir de demandas do consumidor e no tempo certo. Ouso dizer que, para o negócio que consegue unir essas características, não há crise!

In Business Sustainability, we have fulfilled the mission of being Development Promoters. We will work, in addition to expansion, themes such as governance, succession, operations control, consistency in the planning and formatting of the network as a way to encourage a broad vision of sustainability applied to business.

O.M. – In 2017, ABF completes 30 years. How important is the entity to the industry and to anyone who wants to invest in a franchise?

A.C. – Currently, we have about 1,300 associates who represent almost 70% of the national franchising revenues. According to data from the World Franchising Council - WFC, Brazil occupies the fourth place in number of brands and the sixth in units in the world.

Therefore, ABF is the official representative of a vigorous sector that continues to grow, bringing together an unique and vital content for those who wish to enter this market. We can also say that if you want to relate with the main players in our industry, ABF is where you should be. It is worth reminding that ABF is the second largest entity in the franchise sector in the world, behind only its congenerous in the United States, the IFA - International Franchise Association.

O.M. – What are the expectations of the Association for the year 2017?

A.C. – Our projection for 2017 is that the franchise market grows from 7% to 9% in revenues and about 3% in units. We expect a challenging year, but with a clearer horizon, which should open space for more investments.

O.M. –Which companies or entrepreneurs tend to go through the current moment more stabilized?

A.C. – The most prepared and in close synchrony with its business. In such an unstable environment, monitoring the performance of stores, month by month, week by week and even day by day is even more fundamental in order to subsidize adaptations. In this sense, agility and the capacity for innovation are also essential, as they generate value from consumer demands and at the right time. I dare say that, for the business that manages to combine these characteristics, there is no crisis!

R.O. – Qual ensinamento você passaria para quem deseja abrir o próprio negócio ou até mesmo para quem já deu o primeiro passo?

A.C. – A primeira dica é conhecer em profundidade o sistema de franchising, que traz muitos benefícios, mas também responsabilidades. Depois disso, deve-se escolher o segmento em que se quer atuar. É fundamental que o empreendedor tenha identificação com a área na qual quer atuar. Afinal, vai passar grande parte de seu tempo imerso naquele universo. Feito isso, deve-se passar à análise das redes alvos. Nesta fase, o empreendedor deve fazer uma análise abrangente de todos os materiais oferecidos pela franqueadora e até de outras fontes. Escolhida a rede, recomendamos falar com franqueados e ex-franqueados da marca, a fim de conhecer melhor como é o dia a dia da operação. O.M. – What lesson would you pass on to those who want to start their own business or even to those who have already taken the first step?

A.C. – The first tip is to know in depth the franchising system, which brings many benefits, but also responsibilities. After that, you must choose the segment in which you want to act. It is fundamental that the entrepreneur has identity with the area with which he wants to act, after all, will spend much of his time immersed in that universe. After that, the target networks must be analyzed. In this phase, the entrepreneur should make a comprehensive analysis of all materials offered by the franchisor and even from another sources. Once the network is selected, we recommend talking to franchisees and ex-brand franchisees in order to get a better understanding of what the day by day operations are like. Prada, Givenchy, Chanel e Dolce&Gabbana já estamparam nas passarelas o que as ruas sinalizaram. Sem medo do novo, a Balmain já apresenta em sua loja virtual suas apostas. A Louis Vuitton trouxe Jaden Smith para estrelar sua campanha feminina. É a moda híbrida, sem definição de gênero, também chamada de genderless.

The trend has appeared numerous times in international fashion shows. Prada, Givenchy, Chanel and Dolce&Gabbana already printed on the catwalks what the streets signaled. Ainda que Coco Chanel já tenha iniciado essa mistura na década de 1920, quando se inspirou na indumentária masculina para criar a pantalona, é agora, quase um século depois, que a moda começa a misturar os guarda-roupas para atender a um público interessado em expressar sua atitude, seu comportamento e sua identidade.

A mestra Suzy Okamoto, professora do curso de Design de Moda do Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, lembra que, além de Chanel, outras personalidades, assim como movimentos socioculturais, já haviam revelado mudanças de paradigmas. “Há diversos exemplos da moda como uma manifestação sociocultural. Flávio de Carvalho usou saias no Brasil em 1956, Iggy Pop vestiu calças femininas na década de 1960, e, nos anos 1990, os jovens de Harajuku, em Tóquio, também misturaram peças de roupas.”

Flávio de Carvalho foi um arquiteto e artista plástico modernista. Na defesa de roupas confortáveis para o calor da época, desfilou por São Paulo com um figurino masculino, feito por ele mesmo, composto por saia e blusa de mangas curtas e folgadas. E é curioso que 60 anos depois o tema tenha voltado à tona para mostrar que algumas convicções daquela época talvez não fossem tão surreais como as pessoas imaginavam. E quem levanta a bandeira para a discussão são os jovens, mostrando que essa diferenciação não é o mais importante.

Ms. Suzy Okamoto, professor of the Fashion Design course at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes in São Paulo, remembers that in addition to Chanel, other personalities, as well as sociocultural movements, had already revealed paradigm shifts. "There are several examples of fashion as a sociocultural manifestation. Flávio de Carvalho wore skirts in Brazil in 1956, Iggy Pop wore women's trousers in the 1960s, and in the 1990s, Harajuku youth in Tokyo also mixed pieces of clothing”.

Flávio de Carvalho was an architect and modernist plastic artist. In defense of comfortable clothes for the heat of the time, he paraded through São Paulo with a male costume, made by himself, composed of short skirt and tank top. It’s curious that 60 years later, the theme comes back to show that some convictions of that era might not be as surreal as people imagined. And who raises the flag for the discussion are the young, showing that this differentiation is not the most important.

GENDERLESS FASHION A moda sem gênero não nasce com a finalidade de mostrar preferências, mas quer abrir espaço para expor personalidades, comportamentos e bem-estar. “São jovens de uma geração de muita atitude que querem mostrar quem são e o que sentem e não querem diferenciação de gênero, espaço, raça ou cor. Eles ensinam às gerações anteriores que o que vale é a personalidade.

Estão preocupados com as atitudes e em cuidar do mundo e querem mostrar que somos todos iguais, independentemente do que usamos”, reflete Kika Locchi, coordenadora de Moda das redes Morana e Balonè, franquias do Grupo Ornatus.

Não por acaso, Jaden Smith foi destaque da campanha da Louis Vuitton em 2016. Em suas entrevistas, ele diz que usa o que tem vontade. Na defesa da moda genderless, exibe um figurino unissex, levantando debates sobre a igualdade de gênero e de comportamento.

Fashion without gender is not born with the purpose of showing preferences, but rather, it wants to open space to expose personalities, behaviors and well-being. "They are young people of a generation with a lot of attitude who want to show who they are, what they feel and do not want differentiation of gender, space, race or color. They teach to previous generations that what counts is personality. They are concerned with attitudes, caring for the world and want to show that we are all the same, regardless of what we use”, reflects Kika Locchi, fashion coordinator of the Morana and Balonè networks, franchises of the Ornatus Group.

It was not by chance that Jaden Smith was featured in the Louis Vuitton campaign in 2016. In his interviews, he says that he uses what he wants. In the defense of genderless fashion, he displays a unisex clothing, raising debates on gender equality and behavior.

TENDÊNCIA GLOBAL Antes de avançar mais no tema, é importante explicar que nenhuma tendência surge por acaso. Para que determinado estilo chegue às passarelas, são realizados diversos estudos. A observação do que ocorre no mundo, a chegada de uma rede social, o comportamento dos jovens, seus hábitos e desejos são apenas alguns dos insights que ajudam a visualizar o que virá no futuro.

A WGSN é a empresa líder no mundo em previsão de tendências, e seus estudos englobam, por exemplo, análises diárias de tendências, dados analíticos de varejo e entendimento sobre o público consumidor. Mariana Santiloni, WGSN Expert, lembra que o tema está em evidência desde 2011 e vem crescendo desde então. “As tradicionais formas de identidade, como raça, gênero e sexualidade, estão rapidamente entrando em colapso. Os pronomes de gênero neutros estão se tornando mais comuns e a orientação sexual está se expandindo diariamente”, observa.

As manifestações socioculturais também sugerem que essa iniciativa seja resultado da transformação do mundo. Para Suzy, todos os jovens são importantes nesse processo, assim como o contexto sócioeconômico, político e cultural.

Duas importantes gerações, a Y e a Z, encabeçam essas mudanças. “Os millennials são parte fundamental para este movimento, mas principalmente a geração Z, que nasceu entre 1995 e 2010.

Conforme as ideias em torno da igualdade de gênero e dos direitos dos LGBTQIA se tornam algo mais comum, a moda associada a essas questões se torna mais relevante e também predominante”, diz Mariana.

Mariana Santiloni, a WGSN Expert, recalls that the theme has been in evidence since 2011 and has been growing ever since. “Traditional forms of identity, such as race, gender, and sexuality, are rapidly collapsing. Neutral gender pronouns are becoming more common and sexual orientation is expanding daily, "she notes.

Sociocultural manifestations also suggest that this initiative is the result of the world transformation. For Suzy, all young people are important in this process, as well as the socio-economic-political-cultural context.

APLICAÇÃO NO VAREJO O Verão 2017 das passarelas internacionais estampou claramente o que vem por aí. Mulheres com roupas largas, que antes chamaríamos de moda masculina, e homens com camisas longas, na altura do joelho, e acessórios como colares, anéis e brincos. “Alguns desfiles femininos tinham homens em sua composição. Outros exibiam modelos masculinos com looks híbridos no tom rosa, além de acessórios. Era uma mensagem clara de que a moda não terá definição de gênero.”

Os países mais desenvolvidos, principalmente em termos de educação e cultura, deverão implementar a tendência de forma orgânica. Por aqui, a moda deverá chegar gradativamente.

No Verão 2017 da Chanel e Dior no Brasil, o tênis foi a principal peça na passarela. “Era uma influência clara da moda esportiva, mas mostrava também que a mulher não precisava provar tanta feminilidade. O importante era se sentir à vontade, sem precisar se diferenciar tanto”, lembra Kika.

Para Mariana Santiloni, o consumo virá naturalmente. “À medida que a sociedade se torna menos rotulada, a individualidade e a inclusão passam a ser prioridades para o consumo, tanto on-line quanto off-line. A ideia que associa a orientação sexual com o estilo de roupa se torna, então, ultrapassada, e uma atitude mais progressista cria raízes”, diz.

For Mariana Santiloni, the consumption will come naturally. "As society becomes less labeled, individuality and inclusion are essential priorities for consumption, both online and off-line. The idea that associates sexual orientation with the style of clothing becomes, then, outdated and a more progressive attitude takes root”, says.

O varejo já começou a observar algumas mudanças em suas vitrines, ainda que discretas. Em 2016, a C&A defendeu em sua campanha “Tudo lindo & misturado” que a moda deve ser cada vez mais inclusiva, respeitando a diversidade e a individualidade dos clientes. A coleção propôs uma moda mais livre, que permitia infinitas combinações e repertórios, como um convite para que os clientes ousassem, experimentassem e combinassem as peças.

Como vimos, os acessórios também entram nessa tendência. A Balmain fez propostas de looks para homens com colares cheios de conteúdo de moda. “Na moda híbrida, o homem pode colocar um acessório mais feminino. Garotos que antes usavam brincos no formato de argola ou strass hoje usam peças com informação de moda, como um pingente ou um cristal grande com zircônia, além de anéis com pedra ou bicho. Seu look poderá ser calça, camisa, suéter, sapato e um bracelete com cristal. Há um leque enorme de acessórios, e cada um usa a sua maneira”, explica Kika.

Mariana lembra também que algumas grifes criaram, por exemplo, áreas genderless em suas lojas. A Selfridges é uma delas. “A área Agender da Selfridges não foi feita para se encaixar em uma tendência, mas em uma mentalidade, reconhecendo e respondendo a uma mudança cultural que está acontecendo agora. Já no Brasil, a Cartel 011, em São Paulo, é um bom exemplo, assim como a marca Trendt”, finaliza.

Retailers have started to notice some changes in their windows, albeit discreet. "In hybrid fashion the man can put on a more feminine accessory. Boys who used to wear earrings in the shape of a hoop or rhinestones, nowadays use pieces with fashion information, such as a pendant or a large crystal with zirconia, as well as rings with stone or animal. Your look can be pants, shirt, sweater, shoes and a bracelet with crystal. There is a huge range of accessories and each one uses it in their own way", explains Kika.

Mariana also reminded that some brands have created, for example, genderless areas in their stores. Selfridges is one of them. “The Agender area of Selfridges wasn’t made to fit into a trend, but in a mindset and to recognize and answer to a cultural change that is happening right now. In Brazil, the Cartel 011 in Sao Paulo, is a good example, as well as Trendt brand", concludes.

Revista Ornatus - Como nasceu a sua vontade de empreender?

Você considera que essa seja uma capacidade nata das pessoas ou todos podemos ser empreendedores?

Chieko Aoki - Minha vontade de empreender nasceu da percepção de que havia muita oportunidade a ser explorada no mercado hoteleiro brasileiro, inclusive novos estilos de hotel a serem explorados. Na ocasião, esse nicho era bastante tímido e tradicional. A hotelaria precisava melhorar e se modernizar.

Acredito que todas as pessoas têm potencial para se tornar empreendedoras, da mesma forma que todos têm vontades e sonhos.

Porém, algumas pessoas preferem atividades mais estáveis, não arriscar tanto ou sonhar pequeno. Acredito que a escolha não depende do DNA, mas do ambiente cultural e das crenças dos meios familiar e social.

R.O. – O ambiente de negócios em geral sempre foi dominado pelos homens. Você encontrou muitos obstáculos no caminho?

C.A – Quando comecei a Blue Tree Hotels, o ambiente era bastante masculino, porém eu me sentia muito motivada. Via que não havia nada que me impedisse ou dificultasse a atuação minha e de outras mulheres, nada que nos impedisse de fazer bem o trabalho que era feito só por homens. Notei, ainda, que muitas das atividades poderiam ser igualmente bem realizadas por mulheres, como a gerência geral, pois acredito que as mulheres sabem lidar bem com as pessoas – um dos pilares mais importantes da hotelaria. Foi assim que, aos poucos, algumas funções foram ocupadas por mulheres, pela seleção de competência e habilidades. Ao mesmo tempo, sou muito grata aos homens da hotelaria que sempre me apoiaram e orientaram em atividades nas quais eu precisei de ajuda. Acredito que obstáculos podem ser superados ou solucionados quando há união e laços entre as pessoas, porque ideias diferentes sempre despertam novas perspectivas e agregam valor.

R.O. – Mais de 20 anos depois da fundação da Blue Tree Hotels, quais dificuldades e desafios as mulheres ainda encontram?

C.A. – As mulheres ainda têm pouco tempo no mercado de trabalho comparado aos homens e, consequentemente, são ainda poucas as mulheres que chegaram ao topo do mercado em cargos de presidentes e de conselhos, apesar de serem competentes e altamente preparadas. Precisamos de mais executivas em altos cargos. Segundo os estudos do World Economic Forum, empresas com presidentes mulheres têm alcançado excelentes e melhores resultados financeiros. Portanto, o desafio é aumentar com velocidade o número de mulheres nos cargos de liderança. É uma tarefa possível, pois o jeito feminino de administrar está alinhado com as tendências da administração moderna, que foca nas pessoas para alcançar resultados financeiros, ao mesmo tempo em que busca o bem-estar de todos. Acredito que as mulheres, em geral, têm familiaridade com as emoções de forma espontânea, natural e sem complicações, assim como valores. Por isso gostam de temas como a emoção, a alma, a ética, a igualdade, os valores e o propósito.

Ornatus Magazine - How did your willingness to undertake arise? Do you consider this to be a natural ability of people or can we all be entrepreneurs?

Chieko Aoki - My willingness to undertake came from the perception that there was lots of opportunities to be explored on the brazilian hotel market. Likewise new hotel styles that, at the time, was pretty shy and traditional. Hotel business needed to improve and refresh.

I believe that all people have potential to become an entrepreneur, as everyone has wishes and dreams. However, some people prefere steady activities, not risking that much or dream small. I believe choices do not rely on DNA, but on cultural environment and beliefs of the family and social environment.

O.M. - The business environment in general has always been very dominated by men. Have you come across of many obstacles along the way?

C.A. - When I first started Blue Tree Hotels, the atmosphere was quite masculine, but I was very motivated because I saw that there was nothing that would prevent or hinder my performance and other women in doing well the work that was done only by men. Still, I observed that many of activities could be equaly well perfomed by women, as general management, since I believe women can deal well with people - one of the most important pillars of hotel business.

That is how, gradually, some functions were occupied by women, by the selection of competence and skills. At the same time, I am very grateful to the hotel men who have always supported me and guided me in activities that I needed help. I believe that obstacles can be overcome or solved when there is unity and bonding between people, because different ideas always spark new perspectives and add value.

O.M. - Over 20 year after of foundation of Blue Tree Hotels, what difficulties or challenges are women still facing?

C.A. - Women still have a short time in the labor market compared to men, and consequently there are still few women who have reached the top of the market in positions of presidents and boards, despite being competent and highly prepared. We need more executive women in higher positions. According to the studies of World Economic Forum, companies with female CEO’s have been achieving excellent and enhanced financial results. So the challenge is to speed up the number of women in leadership positions. It is a possible task because the feminine way of managing is aligned with the trends of modern management, which focuses on people to achieve financial results, while seeking the well-being of all. I believe that women, in general, are familiar with emotions spontaneously, naturally and without complications, as well as with values; therefore they like themes such as emotion, soul, ethics, equality, values and purpose.

R.O. - Quais características devem ter as mulheres que querem empreender no Brasil?

C.A. - Sejam mulheres ou homens, devem conhecer o negócio que desejam explorar, fazer plano de negócio, estudo de viabilidade, buscar pessoas que compartilham os mesmos valores e objetivos e que sejam parceiros de verdade – sejam colaboradores, terceiros, fornecedores ou clientes. Geralmente, os empreendedores são arrojados e corajosos, são aqueles que não gostam de sentar e lamentar os problemas. Os empreendedores vão à luta de um jeito ou de outro! São pessoas que enxergam soluções e oportunidades e não apenas problemas nas dificuldades. Tem gente que desiste no meio do caminho devido às dificuldades, que fazem parte!

Não há conquista sem suor, trabalho, persistência e alegrias. É um ciclo: num dia, a alegria; no outro, a frustração. Altos e baixos todo o tempo. Gosto de dizer que, no mundo, a única realidade é a mudança constante. Um novo negócio nasce do olhar e da perspectiva de pessoas inconformadas com o presente, que colaboram para criar um mundo novo. O computador, a internet e os novos sistemas que brotam como plantas no jardim são ótimos exemplos, nascem como propostas inimagináveis até o seu surgimento.

R.O. - O mundo está com os olhos voltados para a luta pelo empoderamento feminino. Como você observa essa batalha?

C.A - Não diria que é uma luta, mas sim uma conscientização de que o mundo é formado por homens e mulheres com capacidades e habilidades iguais. Na maioria dos casos, as mulheres são diferentes em estilo e na forma de fazer as coisas, mas o potencial e a capacidade são iguais. E esta conscientização não é feita somente por mulheres. Muitos homens ajudam no empoderamento das mulheres, participando de grupos como o He for She, incentivando e colaborando com os caminhos que devem ser trabalhados para dar velocidade a mais mulheres no mercado de trabalho e em altos postos de liderança. Da mesma forma, a igualdade racial e a diversidade são movimentos trabalhados nas empresas e na sociedade, colocando foco, porque as pessoas e a sociedade têm dificuldade de dar a devida importância ao tema, pela correria do dia a dia e outras prioridades. O mundo precisa funcionar inteiro, incluindo o empoderamento da mulher, na velocidade do mundo digital.

R.O. - Com toda a sua experiência de vida, qual é o maior aprendizado que carrega e que gostaria de compartilhar com as mulheres?

C.A. - Gosto muito de uma frase do educador alemão Kurt Hahn, que diz: “Somos melhores do que pensamos. Quando descobrimos isso, nunca mais continuamos os mesmos”.

Quando as mulheres se empoderarem e sentirem que cada uma delas pode tornar o Brasil um país melhor, mais justo, mais brilhante e importante para os brasileiros e para o mundo, o entusiasmo que nasce dentro delas vai fazê-las pessoas felizes pelo protagonismo e pelo tamanho das contribuições de que são capazes.

O.M. - What characteristics should have women that want to undertake in Brazil?

C.A. - Whether they are women or men, they must know the business they want to explore, make a business plan, feasibility study, find people who share the same values and goals, and who are real partners - whether employees, third-party suppliers or customers. Generally, entrepreneurs are bold and courageous, are those who do not like to sit down and mourn the problems. Entrepreneurs put up the fight in one way or another! They are people who see solutions and opportunities, not only problems in difficulties. There are people who give up on the halfway due to the difficulties, that are part of it! There are no accomplishments without sweat, work, perseverance and joys. It is a cycle, one day there is joy, on the other, frustration. Highs and lows, all along the way. I like to say that in the world, the only reality is constant change. A new business arises from the vision and perspective of people who are troubled about the present, who collaborate to create a new world.

The creation of the computer, the Internet and new systems that sprout like plants in the garden are great examples, since they are born as unimaginable proposals until they emerge.

O.M. - The world is focused on the struggle for female empowerment. How do you perceive this battle?

C.A - I would not call a struggle, but an awareness that the world is made up of men and women with equal competence and skills. In most cases, women are different in style, in the way they do things, but the potential and ability are the same. And this awareness is not made exclusively by women. Many men help empower women by participating in groups such as "He for She," encouraging and collaborating with the paths that must be worked to speed women more into the job market and in high leadership positions.

Just as racial equality and diversity are movements worked out in companies and in society on focus, because people and society have difficulty in giving the due importance, by the rush of everyday life and many "priorities" that are born one after another. The world needs to function as a whole, including the empowerment of women, in the speed of the digital world.

O.M. - With all your life experience, which is your greatest learning you carry that you like to share with women?

C.A. - I like a quote from German educator Kurt Hahn, who says, "We are better than we think. Once we discover that, we never remain the same”. The new campaign, which was on air by the end of March, draw attention to the dialogue with consumers about women’s power. The inspiration for this campaign arose from the attitude of the fashion designer, Diane Von Fürsterberg, who on the 80’s designed a dress as an alternative for the traditional male suits of the time. Actually, it was a way to inspire and support women, so that they could go back to be just women.

To build up its winter, the brand also emphasizes a concept that has always permeated its creations: producing accessories for a strong and powerful woman. For this reason, it presents a unique and polished collection, which unfolds four lines and explore expressive forms, assorted metal finishes and structured garments.

As mudanças que as MÍDIAS SOCIAIS provocaram na RELAÇÃO DAS MARCAS COM SEUS CONSUMIDORES The changes the social media provokes in the brands´ relationship with their consumers No Brasil, 105 milhões de usuários acessam o Facebook todo mês e no Instagram, 35 milhões de contas estão ativas no País. Já o YouTube tem mais de 1 bilhão de usuários em todo o mundo. Os números divulgados pelas plataformas impressionam, mesmo sem citarmos os acessos ao Twitter e ao Linkedin, outras duas redes de igual importância no mundo digital. Com a chegada das mídias sociais, que facilitaram a comunicação e democratizaram o acesso à informação, não só o consumidor passou a se expressar de maneira diferente, como também as marcas tiveram de se adaptar a uma nova forma de relacionamento.

The numbers disclosed by the platforms impress, even if we don´t mention access to Twitter and Linkedin, other two networks of equal importance in the digital world.

With the arrival of the social media, which made communication easier and democratized access to information, not only the consumers started expressing differently, but the brands had to adapt to a new way of relationship as well.

Enquanto as pessoas passaram a utilizar as mídias sociais para se comunicar, o mundo observava o comportamento do consumidor, que mudou seus hábitos, ficou mais seletivo e começou a exigir um novo posicionamento das marcas. “Antes acostumadas a apenas emitir a mensagem no processo de comunicação, as marcas tiveram que aprender a dialogar com seus consumidores de forma mais humanizada, tendo a transparência como o foco desse diálogo”, explica Lisandra Maioli, especialista em UX (user experience) e mídias sociais.

While people started using social media to communicate, the world observed the consumers´ behavior, who changes their habits, became more selective and started demanding a new position from the brands. “Used only to emit the message in the communication process before, the brands had to learn how to dialogue with their consumers in a more humanized way, with transparency as focus in this dialog”, Lisandra Maioli, specialist in UX (user experience) and social media, explains.

Diante de tantas mudanças, o consumidor passou a não se satisfazer apenas com produtos, serviços ou informações por vias tradicionais como as campanhas publicitárias. Hoje, ele quer muito mais das marcas: quer ser percebido como único. “Ele quer se relacionar de forma humana e genuína, e sabemos que a base de um bom relacionamento é o diálogo. Nada mais eficiente para estabelecer esse processo do que as mídias sociais, onde a marca é mais um ‘amigo’ na sua rede”, diz Lisandra.

Nowadays, they want much more from the brands: they want to be perceived as unique. “They want to relate in a human and genuine way, and we know that the base of a good relationship is dialog. There is nothing more efficient to establish this process than social media, where the brand is one more “friend” in your network”, Lisandra says.

Relacionar-se nesse ambiente não é uma tarefa das mais fáceis, já que, diferentemente do que algumas marcas imaginam, estar presente não é apenas publicar conteúdo. Além disso, mesmo que uma marca não tenha uma fanpage ou uma conta no Instagram, alguém está falando dela em algum lugar no mundo. Por isso, estar presente é importante, mas não é o suficiente. A recomendação é marcar presença de maneira consistente, mas honesta e transparente.

Relate in this environment is not one of the easiest tasks, as, differently than some brands imagine, being present is not just publish content. Furthermore, even if the brand does not have a fanpage or an account on Instagram, someone is speaking about it somewhere in the world. Therefore, being present is important, but not sufficient.

Para uma relação verdadeira, Lisandra sugere muita interação e um diálogo ativo. Outro erro muito comum nesses canais é omitir ou querer amenizar seus erros. “É nesse momento que começam as crises de mídias sociais. Mais cedo do que se imagina, o consumidor vai descobrir, investigar e reverberar as informações e os fatos e vai exigir um posicionamento. Por isso, eu reforço mais uma vez a importância da transparência”, diz. E ela vai além. “Não tente mentir, enganar ou amenizar questões importantes para o consumidor. Ele precisa sentir que a comunicação é humanizada e vai perceber se as mensagens forem automáticas ou muito generalizadas. Nesse processo, é importante exercitar a escuta ativa e genuinamente ouvir o consumidor”, indica.

For a real relationship, Lisandra suggests a lot of interaction and an active dialog. Another very common error in these channels is to omit or want to minimize your errors. “This is the time, when crises start in social media. Earlier than it is imagined, the consumers will find out, investigate and spread the information and the facts and will demand a position. Therefore, I reinforce the importance of transparency once again”, she says. And does further. “Don´t try to lie, mislead or minimize issues, which are important for the consumers. They need to feel that the communication is humanized and they will perceive if the messages are automatic or very generalized. In this process, it is important to exercise active listening and really hear the consumer”, she indicates.

Além de se relacionar de forma genuína, honesta e transparente com seus consumidores, também tem a confiança de se relacionar com outras marcas, sempre alinhada com o tom e a voz da marca”, diz.

EMPATIA E TRANSPARÊNCIA (DE NOVO) Ser verdadeira, transparente, ter empatia e um propósito são os principais cuidados que uma marca tem de ter no universo digital, de acordo com Clarissa Machado, coordenadora de marketing, digital e comunicação do Grupo Ornatus. Ela cita o exemplo mais recente da campanha ‘Reposter’ da Skol para o Dia Internacional da Mulher. A marca convidou seis ilustradoras para recriar pôsteres antigos sob um novo olhar, pois os antigos cartazes que estampavam o corpo feminino já não o representava. “A marca teve a transparência de assumir que teve erros no passado e a empatia de consertar esses erros no presente”, opina Clarissa. Foram mais de 80 mil visualizações do vídeo no YouTube, 34 mil comentários, 216 mil curtidas e mais de 56 mil compartilhamentos no Facebook.

A mesma Skol, que agora é vista com outros olhos pelo consumidor, em 2015 foi alvo de inúmeras críticas por usar cartazes que estariam incitando a violência e a falta de respeito com a mulher, gerando milhares de comentários negativos para a marca nas redes sociais. Por isso, é tão importante tanto o propósito quanto a transparência e a empatia.

Se hoje já não é novidade que as relações entre as marcas e seus consumidores devem ser cada vez mais próximas e transparentes, em um futuro não muito distante, elas deverão ser ainda mais personalizadas e deverão promover experiências memoráveis. A força e o crescimento do universo digital exigem cada vez mais essas características das empresas.

She mentions the most recent example of the ‘Reposter’ campaign by Skol for the International Women´s Day. The brand invited six illustrators to recreate old posters under a new look, because the old posters that stamped a female body did not represent it anymore. “The brand was transparent to assume that there were errors in the past and empathy to correct these errors in the present”, Clarissa thinks. There were more than 80 thousands views of the video on YouTube, 34 thousand comments, 216 thousand likes and more than 56 thousands shares on Facebook.

The same Skol, which now is seen with other look by the consumers, in 2015, was subject to numberless critics for using posters, which would be encourage violence and lack of respect to the women, generating thousands of negative comments for the brand in the social networks. Therefore, purpose and transparency and empathy are equally important.

Comunicação direta No final dos anos 2000, o mercado identificou um novo comportamento. Enquanto o consumidor assistia o telejornal, um reality show ou almoçava, ele também acessava as redes sociais pelo celular, visualizava um portal de notícias ou um site de comércio eletrônico. Nasciam os consumidores “multitela”. Diante disso, as marcas sentiram a necessidade de estar onde eles estavam, independentemente da plataforma. “Se o consumidor não tem a mesma atenção de antigamente para uma mídia tradicional, como a TV ou uma revista, eu tenho que estar onde ele estiver naquele momento. E é assim que as marcas conseguem dialogar de maneira mais assertiva com cada consumidor”, explica Clarissa.

A relação da rede Morana, uma das maiores redes de acessórios do Brasil, com suas consumidoras é muito próxima, e Clarissa explica como e por quê. “As mulheres amam loucamente a Morana, e a marca retribui com uma relação quase pessoal com as consumidoras. É uma linguagem de igual para igual, que as aproxima ainda mais.”

Entendendo essas mudanças comportamentais e de olho nas exigências de suas consumidoras, a Balonè Fashion Bijoux também apostou em algo muito atual e de forte impacto no ambiente digital. INSPIRAÇÃO&CRIAÇÃO DA COLEÇÃO

Os estudos de tendências são o pontapé inicial de todo o trabalho de criação das peças Morana. Fazem parte desse processo análises de tendências arquitetônicas, street style, tecnologia, obras de designers, desfiles internacionais, comportamentos globais e redes sociais. Com as principais tendências em mãos, a equipe determina o que tem o perfil da marca e de seu público-alvo. Só depois é que a equipe de criação desenvolve algumas coleções e famílias, como são chamados os conjuntos de peças. É nesse momento que também são determinados quais materiais, banhos e pedrarias serão aplicados, assim como as medidas de cada item. O tempo que se leva para desenhar cada coleção, com anel, brinco, colar e pulseira, varia bastante, dependendo da complexidade da peça.

OS DESENHOS CHEGAM ATÉ O FORNECEDOR

Já na fábrica, as peças chegam até as mãos do modelista, um profissional altamente capacitado, que irá modelar as criações em um processo artesanal e bastante delicado. Seu olhar minucioso transfere do papel para uma placa de estanho todas as características da peça, como curvas, dimensões e espaços milimétricos para o encaixe de pedrarias. Nesta fábrica, por exemplo, o olhar experiente e as mãos firmes de mais de 45 anos de modelagem do Sr. Onofre transformam em realidade o que a equipe de criação colocou no papel. Para desenhar e recortar a peça, ele utiliza ferramentas delicadas, e o resultado é um molde preliminar do que dali a alguns dias estará disponível em uma loja da rede.

A criação de uma peça piloto também pode ser feita a partir da prototipagem 3D, um processo moderno e muito utilizado pelas grandes joalheiras. Nessa técnica, o modelista transfere o desenho do papel para um software chamado Rinoscerus, que, ao se comunicar com a impressora 3D, imprime o produto em cera, criando o protótipo que guiará a linha de produção.

1. INSPIRATION AND CREATION OF THE COLLECTION The trend studies are the kickoff of the entire piece creation work at Morana. Since architectonic trend analyses, street style, technology, designers´ works, international fashion shows to global behavior and social networks are part of this process. With the main trends in hands, the team determines which one has the brand and its target audience´s profile . After that, creation develops some collections and families, as the sets of pieces are called. At this moment, it will be determined which material, bathe and stones will be applied, as well as the size of each item. The time it takes to draw each collection, with ring, earrings, necklace and bracelet, varies a lot, depending on the complexity of the piece.

2 – THE DRAWINGS ARRIVE AT THE SUPPLIER Already in the factory, the pieces arrive at the modeler’s hands, a high qualified professional who will model the creations in a handcrafted and very delicate process. His/her meticulous look transfers all the piece characteristics, such as curves, dimensions and millimetric spaces for the jewel fitting from the paper to a tin board. In this factory, for example, Mr. Onofre´s experienced look and firm hand of more than 45 years modeling transforms what the creation team has put on the paper into reality. To draw and cut the piece, he uses delicate tools and the result is a preliminary mold of what will be available in a store from the chain in few days.

The creation of a pilot piece at Morana can be also made from 3D prototyping, a modern process, very much used by the big jewelry manufacturers. In this technique, he modeler transfers the drawing from the paper to a software called Rinoscerus, which, while communicating with the 3D printer, will print the product in wax, creating the prototype that will guide the production line.

Para a criação do molde, a peça é posicionada em uma barra de silicone com pinos, que vão garantir que ela não se movimente quando entrar na vulcanizadora. A uma temperadora de 150 °C e pressão de 150 quilos, a peça imprime na barra todos os seus detalhes.

Com o primeiro molde em mãos, a barra de silicone é colocada em uma centrífuga. O metal, fundido a uma temperada de 400 °C, é inserido pela cavidade da máquina. O resultado são as primeiras peças, esboços de um acessório da marca.

APRIMORAMENTO E MOLDE DE PRODUÇÃO

Depois de prontas, as primeiras peças voltam para as mãos do modelista, que, com um olhar meticuloso, retira manualmente eventuais arestas e saliências. Em seguida, elas são colocadas novamente na barra de silicone, que, ao ser inserida na vulcanizadora à alta pressão e temperatura, gera o molde final de produção.

Feito isso, a barra é colocada na centrífuga, que, após receber o metal fundido, criará as peças. Esse processo irá se repetir dezenas ou centenas de vezes, dependendo da quantidade de itens solicitados pela empresa.

5. IMPROVEMENT AND PRODUCTION MOLD When they are ready, the first pieces come back to the modeler’s hands, who, with a meticulous look, manually removes any edges and protrusions. After done, they are placed in the silicone bar again, which when placed in the vulcanizing device at high pressure and temperature, will generate the final production mold. After that, the bar is placed in the centrifuge, which after receiving the molten metal, will create the pieces. This process will be repeated dozens or hundred times, depending on the quantity of items requested by the company. Just to have an idea, each silicone bar can generate 13 earnings as this one. After some seconds, the operator removes the pieces, still hot, and submits them to the polishing sector.

POLIMENTO E BRILHO

As peças são inseridas nas máquinas de polimento, que fazem esse trabalho com a ajuda de abrasivos, como resinas ou materiais de natureza orgânica. Essa etapa dura entre duas e seis horas. Quando necessário, elas também passam pela fase de lixamento, que vai garantir ainda mais brilho ao material.

6. POLISHING AND SHINE The pieces are inserted in the polishing machines, which do this work with the help of abrasives, such as resins or materials of an organic nature. This stage lasts between two and six hours.

Whenever necessary, they also pass through the sanding stage, which will assure even more brightness to material.

PREPARAÇÃO PARA O BANHO

Antes de irem para o banho dourado ou de ródio, as peças são amarradas em um fio de cobre e distribuídas em gancheiras. Os pinos dos brincos são previamente protegidos por um espaguete de borracha.

Essa etapa é importante para garantir que eles não recebam metais e causem reações em pessoas alérgicas.

7. PREPARATION FOR THE BATHING Before going to golden or rhodium bathe, the pieces are tied on a copper wire and distributed on hooks. The pins of the earnings are previously protected by a rubber hose. This stage is important to assure that they will not receive metals and cause reaction in allergic people.

BANHO DOURADO E DE RÓDIO

O banho é uma das etapas mais importantes de toda a produção. Isso porque é ele que vai garantir a qualidade dos acessórios Morana. Sendo este um dos diferenciais da marca, a etapa do banho é realizada seguindo os índices determinados pela Morana, principalmente quanto ao banho dourado e seu percentual de ouro. Mas, antes de receber o banho de metal, as peças passam pelo tanque de limpeza. Depois de limpas, são mergulhadas em um tanque contendo cobre alcalino, a fim de igualar os diversos metais que as compõem. Em seguida, são colocadas em tanques de banho de ródio ou dourado, conforme a determinação da coleção. Para finalizar, as peças recebem um banho final de ródio, que garantirá ainda mais brilho ao acessório.

8. GOLDEN AND RHODIUM BATH The bath is one of the most important stages of the whole production, because it will assure the quality of the Morana accessories. As this one of the differentials of the brand, the bath stage is performed following the indexes determined by Morana, mainly regarding the golden bath and its gold percentage. But before receiving the metal bath, the pieces pass through the cleaning tank. After cleaned, they are dipped into a tank containing alkaline cupper, in order to equal the different metals, which compose them. Then, they are placed in rhodium or golden bathe tanks, according to determination of the collection. To finalize, the pieces receive a final rhodium bathe, which will assure even more brightness to the accessory.

ACABAMENTO

Assim como as demais etapas, o acabamento também é feito manualmente, peça por peça. Todos os itens são colados ou encaixados durante um delicado e primoroso trabalho. Nessa fase, os acessórios recebem pedras, pérolas, ganchos, tarrachas e strass, entre outros materiais, com colas especiais, a fim de garantir uma fixação perfeita.

9 . FINISHING As well as the other stages, the finishing is also done manually, piece by piece. All and any items are placed or fitted during a delicate and exquisite work. In this stage, the accessories receive stones, pearls, hooks, locks, strass among other material, with special glues in order to assure perfect fixation.

ACESSÓRIO PRONTO

Na última etapa de produção, os acessórios são colocados em embalagens adequadas, com a preocupação de não os danificar ou comprometer todo o trabalho artesanal realizado até aqui – a maioria das peças são muito delicadas. Depois de embaladas, elas passam pela logística para cadastro e etiquetagem e, finalmente, seguem para o showroom da Morana, onde ficam à disposição, prontas para ser comercializadas.

10. READY ACCESSORY In the last production stage, the accessories are placed in proper packages, concerned not to damage them or compromise all handcraft work done until here – most of the pieces are very delicate. After packed, they pass through logistics, for registration and labeling and, finally, go to the Morana showroom, where they remain available, ready to be commercialized.
