Medidas que ha implementado el Gobierno de Yucatán

Debido a que el semáforo epidemiológico de Yucatán se encuentra en color naranja, el Gobierno del Estado implementó algunas restricciones ante el incremento de contagios en territorio yucateco.

• Desde el 10 de junio, se implementa la restricción vehicular nocturna para toda la semana a partir de las 23:30 pm hasta las 5:00 hrs.

• Se incrementa la capacidad a 8 personas para embarcaciones menores a 40 pies y, para las mayores a este tamaño, se incrementa a 10 personas.

• Todos los establecimientos que en la actualidad están permitidas, podrán laborar sin restricción de horario, a excepción de los restaurantes que pueden trabajar antes de las 11:30 de la noche.

• Se permitirá el 40% de aforo para los eventos deportivos profesionales en espacios abiertos.

• Los aforos de restaurantes y centros religiosos pasarán de 75% a 50% de aforo.

• Las licencias de bares y centros nocturnos que se encontraban operando como restaurantes serán suspendidas.

• Los menores de 15 años podrán realizar actividades artísticas y deportivas bajo los aforos y días actualmente permitidos.

• Revisión y filtros en el Aeropuerto de Mérida para vuelos del extranjero y revisión en vuelos nacionales.

• Instalación de filtros para revisión

PIES VIAJEROS

Viajera y emprendedora digital Andrea Carrillo es la creadora del blog “Pies Viajeros”, emprendimiento que nació hace 5 años cuando estaba estudiando la Lic. en Ciencias de la Comunicación, proyecto que le ha permitido conocer varios rincones del territorio yucateco

u mayor miedo era no encontrar un trabajo cuando se graduase, pero ya sabía que quería dedicarse a los medios. Recurrió a las redes sociales porque a través de ellas se pueden llegar a mucha gente, así que decidió crearse su blog para explotar su creatividad.

El origen del nombre “Pies Viajeros” se dio de manera natural durante un día de clases. En su libreta estaba escribiendo combinaciones de posibles nombres. Las personas que empezaron a seguirla le apodaron de cariño “Piecitos”.

En su etapa como universitaria comenzó a viajar a distintos destinos locales, pues no contaba con mucho presupuesto.

Realizó un sinfín de sacrificios para comprar su primera cámara fotográfica, tarjetas de

memoria y pagar sus boletos de pasaje para irse a Izamal, Homún, etc.

Además de recomendar y compartir las experiencias de sus viajes, siempre intenta transmitir dos mensajes a sus seguidores: el autoconocimiento y el ser feliz.

Para ella, una de las formas de llegar al autoconocimiento son mediante los viajes, sobre todo los viajes en solitario a cualquier destino sin importar su distancia, debido te enfrentarás a situaciones que no ocurren en tu día a día.

Considera que ser un buen viajero ya experimentado permite que aprendamos acerca de nosotros mismos y del mundo que nos rodea. Muchas veces, recurría a los viajes como mecanismo de escape para huir

de los problemas. Sin embargo, reflexiona que los viajes no son la cura en sí, sino que tienes que encontrarla en ti mismo.

Traveler & Digital Entrepreneur Andrea Carrillo is the creator of the blog “Pies Viajeros,” or “Feet On the Move,” an undertaking that was born five years ago when she was studying for a Bachelor of Communication Sciences. This project has allowed her to get to know various corners throughout Yucatán State.

After she graduated, her biggest fear was not finding a job, but she knew that she wanted to dedicate herself to media.

She turned to social networks, thinking she could reach a wide audience through them. Thus her blog was born to showcase her creativity.

Cenotes Palomitas y Agua dulce, los tesoros naturales de Valladolid A tan solo media hora de distancia del Pueblo Mágico de Valladolid y de la Zona Arqueológica de Ek Balam, se encuentra la localidad de Yalcobá que alberga tesoros naturales en sus límites que te maravillarán: los Cenotes Palomitas y Agua Dulce.

A

l llegar a este sitio, lo primero que apreciarás es su restaurante. Uno de sus trabajadores amablemente te indicará que más adelante se localiza un estacionamiento para que dejes tu automóvil. A un par de metros está la recepción que es atendida por otro trabajador quien te dará la bienvenida y te preguntará cuál de los 2 cenotes quieres visitar. ¡Te recomendamos que visites ambos!

Cumpliendo con todas las medidas de seguridad, tienen a su disposición gel antibacterial y tapetes desinfectantes de calzado y chalecos que debes usar para que nades en los cenotes.

Durante la caminata en el sendero sentirás un contacto directo con la naturaleza, mientras que la emoción incrementará conforme vayas acercándote al Cenote Palomitas. Cuando por fin llegues descenderás a través de escaleras habilitadas para adentrarte a las profundidades de la gruta. Por cierto, ¡en este

cenote puedes lanzarte clavados!

Para cerrar con broche de oro la aventura, de nueva cuenta te adentrarás a las profundidades del suelo yucateco para arribar al Cenote de Agua Dulce.

Su principal característica son las raíces de los árboles de álamos que penetraron el suelo al grado de que parte de éstas están colgadas en el techo. El silencio y la tranquilidad reina en este cenote, ideal para relajarte y tener un momento de re-

flexión rodeado de las maravillas naturales que ofrece.

Después de nadar en los cenotes y recorrer las áreas verdes, dirígete a la zona de descanso y acuéstate en una de sus hamacas, o disfruta de su rico buffet de comida típica yucateca en su restaurante.

BUSCANDO SUS ORÍGENES Y MATERIALIZANDO SUS EXPERIENCIAS A TRAVÉS DEL ARTE El talentoso artista y diseñador yucateco, Víctor Esquivel, nos abrió amablemente las puertas de su estudio ubicado en Conkal donde tuvimos la oportunidad de hablar con él sobre su trayectoria, sus inicios en el mundo del arte pictórico y cerámico, entre otros temas.

D

esde pequeño comenzó a pintar al imitar obras del arte mexicano que encontraba al hojear libros. Su madre al ver su interés en esta actividad, lo llevó al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Yucatán (MACAY) para que tomara cursos de verano en este espacio cultural.

En cuanto a la cerámica, al tener amigos de la familia que se dedicaban a trabajar con barro le permitió desarrollar sus habilidades a muy temprana edad. Él no podría definir su estilo artístico en su trabajo, ya que tiene más de 15 años pintando como oficio. En su opinión, en sus inicios contempla a su obra más decorativa y figurativa, era mucho más colorida y se veían demasiados rostros y cuerpos.

Posteriormente, la arquitectura empezó a influirlo mucho más en su quehacer. Hoy en día, considera que su obra es más abstracta y está ligada a una búsqueda en sus orígenes en lo maya, en lo mestizo y en

la memoria.

Para Víctor, el arte es su vocación y su manera de entender al mundo y también de abstraerlo, es la forma en que procesa sus vivencias y materializa sus experiencias.

A lo largo de su exitosa carrera, ha expuesto sus pinturas y vasijas en Mérida, Campeche, Jalisco, CDMX, además de España y China, por mencionar algunos países. Asimismo, ha impartido seminarios, diplomados, talleres, conferencias y conservatorios a nivel nacional e internacional que le han permitido recibir importantes reconocimientos.

Searching for His Origins and Materializing His Experiences Through Art The talented Yucatecan artist and designer, Víctor Esquivel, kindly opened the doors of his studio located in the town of Conkal. We then had the opportunity to talk with him about his career, his beginnings in the world of pictorial and ceramic art, among other topics.

From a young age he began to paint by imitating works of Mexican art that he found when leafing through books. His mother, seeing his interest in this activity, took him to the Museum of Contemporary Art of Yucatán (MACAY) to take summer courses in this cultural space.

As for ceramics, having family friends who worked with clay allowed him to develop his skills at an early age.

He could not define his artistic style in his work, since he has more than 15 years painting as a trade. In his opinion, in his early days he contemplated his most decorative and figurative work, it was much more colorful and there were too many faces and bodies. Later, architecture began to influence him much more in his work. Today, he considers his work to be more abstract and is linked to a search for his origins in the Maya, in the mestizo, and in memory.

For Víctor, art is his vocation and his way of understanding the world and also rendering it abstract, it is the way he processes his experiences and materializes his experiences.

Throughout his successful career, he has exhibited his paintings and objects in Mérida, Campeche, Jalisco, Mexico City, as well as Spain and China, to name a few countries. Likewise, he has given seminars, diplomas, workshops, conferences and conservatories at the national and international level that have allowed him to receive important recognitions.

ASTRONOMÍA MAYA SABIDURÍA ANCESTRAL

P

or su parte, Relación de las Cosas de Yucatán, obra escrita por Fray Diego de Landa, y los libros del Chilam Balam, contienen información valiosa y perspectivas de esta rama de la ciencia maya.

Los ancestros utilizaron sus conocimientos matemáticos y astronómicos para crear sus calendarios: el Tzolkin y el Haab.

Estos calendarios les permitieron calcular anticipadamente acontecimientos importantes y saber qué omnipresente ser sobrenatural dominaría una fecha determinada. Los aj k´inob (señores de los días por su traducción al español), sacerdotes del calendario, preparaban los rituales que ayudarían a influir de manera positiva en la acción de las fuerzas sobrenaturales sobre los individuos y de la vida comunitaria.

Para realizar sus cálculos, los ancestros recurrieron exclusivamente a los números enteros positivos. Para su representación escrita, los mayas implementaron dos signos: el punto y la barra, que equivalen a 1 y a 5, respectivamente.

Los antepasados desarrollaron sus calendarios basándose en sus observaciones astronómicas durante los amaneceres y los anocheceres para contemplar la aparición y la desaparición de los astros y visualizar al Planeta Venus. Estas observaciones les ayudaron a establecer sus series de días y ciclos que se repetían y se ensamblan entre sí.

Los mayas construyeron un observatorio en Chichén Itzá conocido como “El Caracol”, un edificio circular elevado en una plataforma.

Cuenta con ventanas que poseen bordes y líneas que permitían la observación astronómica de las posiciones del sol, la luna y las estrellas.

Gracias a sus observaciones y creación de sus calendarios, los mayas sabían exactamente cuándo sucedería los equinoccios de primavera y otoño, fenómenos que ocurren en el Castillo de Chichén Itzá y en el Templo de las 7 Muñecas en Dzibilchaltún.

The Aj k’inob (or “Lords of the Days”), priests of the calendar, prepared the rituals that would help to influence in a positive manner supernatural forces on individuals and on community life.

To carry out their calculations, they resorted exclusively to positive integers.

For its written representation, the Maya implemented two signs: a dot and the

bar, which are equivalent to 1 and 5, respectively.

They developed their calendars based on their astronomical observations during sunrises and sunsets to contemplate the appearance and disappearance of the stars and study Venus. These observations helped them establish their series of days and cycles that repeated and assembled with each other.

The Maya built an observatory at Chichén Itzá known as “El Caracol,” a circular building raised on a platform. It has windows that have edges and lines that allow astronomical observation of the positions of the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Thanks to their observations and creation of their calendars, the Maya knew exactly when the spring and autumn equinoxes would happen, phenomena that occur at the Chichén Itzá Castle and at the Temple of the Seven Dolls in Dzibilchaltún.

El Museo de la Ciudad albergará dos extraordinarias exposiciones que maravillarán a todos los visitantes. Explore “Culto al rollo: The Toilet Paper Story” y Aprendiz de pintor”.

A

través del papel sanitario que fue uno de los artículos con mayor demanda cuando inició la contingencia, el artista español quien radica en Mérida, Manuel Taure, presenta “Culto al rollo” conformada de obras que realizó durante la pandemia desde una perspectiva sarcástica y e irónica de situaciones cotidianas que se viven actualmente, impregnadas con la técnica de grabado en relieve.

Por su parte, “Aprendiz de pintor” honorífica a la memoria del pintor yucateco Ermilo Torre Gamboa que dejó una gran huella y legado en el mundo artístico del Estado. Se exhiben 40 pinturas y documentos que reflejan la gran pasión que tenía por su profesión, sus inicios, su primer cuadro que realizó en 1939 y obras pictóricas exclusivas que por primera vez son expuestas al público.

Ingredientes para el pollo • 1 cdta de recado para bistec de Mujer del Campo • El jugo de una naranja agria de Mujer de Campo • 1 cda de azúcar morena • 1 kilo de pechuga de pollo, sin piel cortada en tiras • Sal al gusto

Ingredientes para la salsa • 450 g de tomate verde • Chile habanero al gusto • 60 g de cebolla en trozos • 1 diente grande de ajo o dos dientes chicos • Medio manojo de cilantro de Mujer de Campo • 1 cdta de sal de mar • 230 g de concentrado de ta-

Preparación 1. Disuelve el recado para bistec y la azúcar morena en el jugo de naranja agria y marina las tiras de pollo por 20 minutos. Asegúrate que todo el pollo esté bien cubierto.

2. En una cacerola cuece el tomate verde, el chile habanero, la cebolla y el ajo, deja templar un poco antes de licuar a velocidad alta el tiempo suficiente para lograr una salsa muy tersa. Añade la sal, las ramitas de cilantro, el concentrado de tamarindo sin azúcar y licúa nuevamente hasta incorporar perfectamente todos los ingredientes y la salsa esté aterciopelada.

Reserva en un bowl.

3. Calienta una sartén y agrega un poco de aceite. Cuando esté a buena temperatura, sella las tiras de pollo por ambos lados, vierte la salsa de tomate verde y tamarindo y espera a que suelte el hervor y cambie de color al cocinarse con las tiras de pollo. Cuando comience a reducirse ya está lista.

4. Sirve acompañado de tostadas horneadas con sal de mar. ¡Disfruta!

The coveted and beloved Chef Ceci Galván shares with us an exquisite recipe with ingredients from “Mujer de Campo,” a brand that emerged in the town of Tixcuytún, thanks to Nelvy María Sulu Guardia with whom she had the pleasure of talking.

RECIPE Makes: 6 servings.

Preparation Time: 20 min.

Total Time: 45 min Ingredients for the chicken: • 1 tsp “Mujer del Campo” steak rub • The juice of a “Mujer del Campo” sour orange • 1 tbsp brown sugar • 2.2 lbs chicken breast, skinless cut into strips • Salt to taste

Sabores de Yucatán | Yucatan flavors Ingredients for the sauce: • 16 ounces green tomato • Habanero chili to taste • 2 ounces onion, chopped • 1 large clove of garlic or two small cloves • Half a bunch “Mujer del Campo” coriander • 1 tsp sea salt • 8 ounces “Mujer del Campo” sugar-free tamarind concentrate • Toasted bread with “Mujer del Campo” sea salt Steps: 1. Dissolve the steak rub and brown sugar in the sour orange juice and marinate the chicken strips for 20 minutes. Make sure all the chicken is well covered.

2. In a saucepan, cook the green tomato, the Habanero pepper, onions, and the garlic. Let it warm a little before blending at high speed to obtain a very smooth sauce. Add the salt, the coriander sprigs, the unsweetened tamarind concentrate, and blend again until all the ingredients are perfectly incorporated and the sauce is velvety. Set aside in a bowl.

3. Heat a frying pan and add a little oil. When it is at a good temperature, sear the chicken strips on both sides, pour in the green tomato and tamarind sauce and wait for it to boil and change color when cooked with the chicken strips. When the sauce begins to reduce, it is ready.

4. Serve with sea salt toasted bread and enjoy!

Nelvi María Sulu Guardia es una productora originaria de Tixcuytún. Desde siempre le fascinaba las plantas y uno de sus sueños era tener su propio vivero. Comenzó a trabajar en el manejo de las plantas, empezando con las plantas de ornato.

Al enterarse de la convocatoria de un programa gubernamental, se postuló y tras ser aceptada sembró cultivos de hortalizas. Luego empezó con la siembra de tomates para adentrarse a la elaboración de salsas con esta hortaliza, dando surgimiento así a Mujer de Campo, una iniciativa que inició junto con su esposo y que después se integrarían parte de su familia. Los productos que ofrecen que se caracterizan por estar hechos artesanalmente.

Con 5 años de experiencia, Doña Nelvy es experta en el cultivo de tomate, epazote, albahaca, etc. Mujer de Campo es famosa por sus ricas salsas caseras de tomate y chiltomate y sus jarabes naturales de tamarindo que se elaboran de manera natural mediante prácticas agroecológicas al utilizar productos naturales de la biofábrica localizada en la comisaría, es decir, están libres de agroquímicos.

Nelvy María Sulu Guardia is an entrepreneur from Tixcuytún.

She has always been fascinated by plants and one of her dreams was to have her own nursery.

She began working on plant management, beginning with ornamental plants.

When she learned of a government program to help entrepreneurs, she applied for funding

and after being accepted, she planted vegetable crops. She then began with the planting of tomatoes to get into the preparation of sauces with this vegetable, thus giving rise to “Country Woman,” an initiative that she started with her husband.

The goods they offer for sale are entirely artisanal.

With five years’ of experience under her belt, Doña Nelvy is now expert in the cultivation of tomato, epazote, basil, and so forth. “Country Woman” has become renowned for their rich homemade tomato and chiltomate sauces and its natural tamarind syrups. These are made naturally through agroecological practices by using natural products from the bio-factory located in her town—meaning they are free of agrochemicals.

Suba las escalinatas y goce de la belleza del templo y sienta además su energía.

El fenómeno sucede el 21 de marzo y 21 de septiembre respectivamente, durante la mañana. Desde las 5:00 hrs., la gente acude a la zona arqueológica para presenciar los equinoccios de primavera y otoño.

Las zonas arqueológicas de la Ruta Puuc están cerradas al público hasta nuevo aviso, a excepción de Uxmal.

REGIÓN “PUUC” (Cerro o serranía): Sus habitantes asentados en tierra roja y fértil, desarrollaron una cultura muy propia. Su arquitectura destaca por su forma simple, planos alargados, columnas sólo ornamentales, rica y elaborada decoración de piedras formando mosaicos; casi excluye la figura humana, sobresale casi con obsesión CHAAK (dios de la lluvia) que es representado tanto con la trompa hacia arriba, petición, como hacia abajo, agradecimiento, con visión Estético-Religiosa del que dependían sus cosechas y su agua potable, almacenada en CHULTUNES (cisternas) creados por ellos. Entre en íntimo contacto con ellos y la naturaleza.

GRUTAS LOLTÚN (Flor de piedra): En el acceso NAHCAB (colmena) lo recibirá el bajorrelieve de EL GUERRERO DE LOLTÚN, dios que emerge del inframundo. En

visita guiada asómbrese con formaciones abovedadas, estalactitas y estalagmitas; bóvedas como LA CATEDRAL, impresionante, LA MAZORCA, EL CAÑÓN de gigantescas rocas.

LAS COLUMNAS MUSICALES destacan el sonido “Loltún” al ser golpeadas; LOS HALTUNES (sartenes) con agua fresca y rebosante. Pinturas rupestres de manos, animales y rostros.

Fue un refugio durante la Guerra de Castas. Otras galerías y cámaras, completan un recorrido en el espléndido conjunto de Loltún.
