Currently, besides already offered investment properties, the analysis of other locations is also being conducted. – We are aware that land is a good, which is limited. Therefore, at the outset of creating REZ we have planned to collaborate with the surrounding communities, who have land suitable for investors – says Rajkowski. In addition to preparing sites for the location of the REZ, Radom authorities take several actions to create an appropriate investment climate.

– Our goal is to develop a specific, flexible and open to all investors needs support package to aid the implementation of the investment in the city. And we are not talking about individual ideas for entrepreneurs, but a whole range of incentives to invest in Radom. We want to stand out from other cities – says Rafał Rajkowski.

The activity of Radom Economic Zone will focus on three sectors – economic pillars. Firstly, using the potential of Radom in the form of metal-machining industry, the city will try to attract investors in this sector but in the context of developing automotive and aviation industries. It is even more significant because both the aviation industry and the car are government priorities, and as such can be supported by the government in the implementation of the investment in the form of grants. Secondly, micro enterprises – in Radom there is around 24,000 enterprises, above 90% function on the basis of business register entry. City authorities want to boost their entrepreneurial spirit. The authorities are also working to support entrepreneurs in the areas of access to information on requirements and administrative procedures, access to capital and access to know-how.

– Let’s not forget the already established businesses, we want to create the conditions for reinvestment of those companies that are already present in Radom. Thirdly, we see a huge opportunity to attract investors operating in the business services sector. We have many advantages as a city and region: proximity to the capital, educated professionals, low cost of doing business (land prices, the prices of office space and other components necessary for business). BPO sector is intensively developing in Radom. There are new investors – Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (Polish Armaments Group plc) has rented space in Radom Office Park for its new office in Radom. The new location will consolidate management teams of the whole group. The opening has been scheduled for spring. In this modern office building there will also be consolidated accounting departments, administration and IT, as well as jobs related to production management, research and development and marketing. The new location will also include the office of the Management Board and Supervisory Board. Information technology operations throughout the Group will be provided a modern server room. Everything located on nearly 2,000 sq. m.

– The opening of a new office in Radom is associated with natural development of our company. In 2015, PGZ is planning deep business integration of the consolidated companies. The command center in Radom has been created for that reason. At the beginning we plan the new headquarters will employ approximately 100 people – says Wojciech Dąbrowski, CEO of PGZ S.A.
