ELBLAG – THE ZONE OF GOOD INVESTMENTS The city with tradition and future, which invests in modern solutions and technologies. The place with a regional significance in respect to the whole country, with a good climate for business and still huge potential to be used.
Elblag is located at the intersection of routes of all types of transport. It is an important international transport node on the route of the east – west lane, joining a part of the Russian Federation (Kaliningrad Oblast) with Poland and Western Europe (route S22 connecting Berlin with Kaliningrad anf further to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland, belonging to the Trans – European Transport Networks). There is also teh major road S7 which joins such cities as: Gdańsk, Warsaw, Cracow, Budapest. Due to the connection with the Wislany Bay through the River Elblag, the city is licated on the route of the water way E 70. Elblag is known for its longstanding tradition in the metal and machine industry, and this is the reason why it bacame specialized in the sphere of design services in Northern Poland. That is why the seats of multiple design offices is to be found here, as the following: FLSmidth Maag Gear, Siemens and General Electric (GE). The city focuses on a good cooperation with the local business and high schools of Elblag, mainly in the field of gaining a qualified staff by an established system of apprenticeship. Every new job is a priority, therefore the city cares about convenient conditions for creating new work places and business development.

For many years the city has been focused on the development of innovation and it has consistently realised investments by adapting infrastructure
to current needs of the citizens and investors. In the recent ten years the quality of life and conducting business has risen thanks to, among others, the development of a network of optical fiber, modernisation of the road infrastructure, modern system of recycling and water treatment, also development of infrastructure in the investment area and centres of innovation implementation, such as Elblag Technology park with specialized laboratories. NUMEROUS AREAS FOR INVESTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CITY. SOME OF THEM DESERVE A SPECIAL ATTENTION: Modrzewina South and Elblag Technology Park, which is to found in its boundaries – a project consistently realised by the city authorities, gives optimal conditions for investments in Elblag. The total area of Modrzewina South is 67.7 ha, including 40 ha within the Warmia and Masury Special Economic Zone, Subzone Elblag. All the locations have the access to the infrastructure which is necessary for investments. The area of Modrzewina South is destined for production and services of hi-tech industry. In accordance with the assumptions of the area development plan, it is the place where technical and production buildings connected with idustrial and warehouse activities may be erected, including production and services of high tech industry, components, logistics, distribution.
