In early May, Hulu released teaser pics from their upcoming biopic Pam and Tommy, about the very 1990s romance between Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee (played by a faketatted-up Sebastian Stan) and Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson (Downton Abbey’s Lily James). The eight-part limited series will focus on the couple’s infamous sex tape that titillated the Internet back when “going viral” still meant catching a bug and social media didn’t exist.

Not so excited: The real Pamela Anderson. A source tells Star she’s “furious” about the show. “This was one of the most stressful periods of her life,” an insider says of the 53-year-old. “And now she has to relive it again.” For years, she and Tommy, 58, were embroiled in lawsuits against Internet Entertainment Group, which had been selling a stolen sex tape from the couple’s 1995 honeymoon. After reaching a settlement with EIG on the downloadable version, they missed out on getting their share of profits from the

$15 videotape version — which became the best-selling porn tape in history.

(In 2001, Pamela was awarded a sevenfigure settlement related to a tape of her frolicking with Poison’s Bret Michaels.)

TAFFERS at Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show were stunned. On May 11, the 63-year-old informed them that, after 19 seasons, Ellen will go off the air in the spring of 2022. “When you’re a creative person you constantly need to be challenged,” the former sitcom star said in an interview. “And as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore.”

Or maybe it’s too much of a challenge.

Following last summer’s scandal that exposed the show’s workplace as toxic and Ellen herself as less than her trademark “kind,” Ellen’s ratings dropped to an all-time low in April. At the same time, the real-estate flipper, worth an estimated $370 million, recently had to bat away rumors of marital problems between her and wife of 15 years Portia di Rossi, when she shared that she was temporarily between houses and living at pal Courtney Cox’s. Now a source tells Sta Ellen is getting out while she still can: “Deciding to end the show has more to d with pride and ego than anything else.”

and admitting she assumed the bad PR would die down because “it was all so stupid.” She recalled thinking, “If I just don’t address it, it’s going to go away.” Celeb guests, she insisted, raved about the staff’s happiness. “‘Of all the talk shows I’ve done,’” she recalls a typical guest gushing, “‘Everyone here is so happy.’ That’s all I ever heard.” She even expressed regret for her “Be Kind” brand. “Like, I can’t honk my horn at anybody,” she said.

WHAT LIES AHEAD Still, Ellen has no intention of burning her bridges. Having helmed a slew of unscripted shows, including Ellen’s Game of Games and The Masked Dancer, “The word is, she has lucrative new offers coming in,” says the source.
