Groves Summer Programs are thoughtfully designed for students entering grades 2-8 who have dyslexia, ADHD, or other language-based learning challenges. Each program offers in-person, expert, individualized instruction that meets students exactly where they are. Our goal is simple: to help your child step into the upcoming academic year feeling prepared, supported, and equipped with the tools they need for a strong, confident start in the fall.
These academic programs provide a nurturing, fun, and truly transformative summer experience, one that helps children discover their strengths and build lasting confidence. For many students, Groves Summer Programs becomes their very first positive academic experience. They begin to feel bright, capable, and proud of themselves, often developing an entirely new outlook on school.
The discount applies only to completed applications that have all required documentation uploaded by February 13, 2026.
Please email questions to: summerprograms@groveslearning.org
Our 4-week academic program for students entering grades 2–8 offers intentionally small class sizes of 6–8 students, grouped thoughtfully by age and by their reading, writing, and math abilities.
Students participate in reading, writing, and math classes, beginning at a level where they can genuinely experience success before confidently progressing to more advanced skills.

Our teachers bring together expertise, experience, and heartfelt care. Using a diagnostic-prescriptive approach, they continually assess and respond to each student’s individual needs, ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged. At the end of the program, families receive a detailed progress report with personalized recommendations to help guide the next steps in their learning journey.

Experience a unique summer course that guides your student through a meaningful journey in writing and executive functioning.
This course gives students a practical road map to writing proficiency and stronger organization by teaching executive functioning strategies and applying them directly to their writing. The goal is to help students grow into more confident, capable, and independent writers.
Part of the course focuses on executive functioning skills, taught through a blend of proven methods and strategies. The other part centers on reading a novel and responding to it through writing. All the executive functioning tools students learn are woven into their writing work. The writing instruction itself builds from sentence- and paragraph-level skills to pre-writing, editing, and revising practices, all grounded in The Writing Revolution® curriculum.
Project-based learning activities are included throughout to help students practice essential executive functioning skills such as growth mindset, sustained attention, planning, organization, time management, flexibility, and metacognition.
This course is ideal for students who have functional reading skills, would benefit from executive functioning strategies, and need targeted support in writing. It is a stand-alone program and cannot be paired with the Grades 2–8 Academic Program.
Please note: If your student has already taken this course in a previous year, we do not recommend enrolling again.

The vision of Groves Learning Organization is to redefine the way our nation is taught, one student, one teacher, and one school at a time. Literacy Partnerships through GLO enable us to share our evidence-based teaching methods from our school to advance literacy instruction with other teachers and schools in the community. We work with teachers in partner schools to ensure all students receive literacy instruction based on the science of reading.
