“Sport tourism is any activity in which people are attracted to a particular location as a sport event participant, an event spectator, or to attend sport attractions or business meetings.” (CSTA) Sport team and event travel is on the rise as teams travel further to take in tournaments, events, and activities related to their sport. And sports travelers are doing more than playing the game and loading on and off a bus. Today’s team travel involves more activity and entertainment outside the sport purpose than ever before.
