GS USA: Working together to continue building a Great Place To Work

NEWSLETTER T W

When your Company is a Great Place To Work

reflected in the upcoming survey. Over the past 3 years, we have worked very hard to understand each other and our role in making this organization successful. Together, we have created clarity in our collective vision and have done so while having some fun along the way.

When your company is a Great Place to Work, it attracts and produces employees who are eager and determined to drive your business forward. Achieving this status can create immense benefits for any business.

But these types of organizations don’t just appear out of thin air and well wishes. They are carefully constructed and iterated upon. Like any strong bond, marriage or partnership, you must start with a strong foundation of trust and understanding that evolves and adapts over time as circumstances change and grow increasingly complex.

The rewards for being the best place to work first materialize internally. A strong atmosphere allows your team, and your company, to overcome

This is where I am most proud of what this organization has accomplished. We have built mechanisms in which employees work with a One Team mindset. We have practiced transparency and a sense of togetherness around our organization which has led to increased trust amongst our work teams.

The best companies to work for usually have a few things in common. They offer employees flexibility, and they have environments that inspire people to give their best every day, and they value employee feedback, recognizing that employee engagement is paramount to success.

Creating the best place to work takes time, commitment and investment. But the effort can drive results to positively impact your business.

A nurturing work environment fosters dedicated employees who become high achievers and enthusiastic advocates for the company. This positive atmosphere can draw in fresh talent, forge lasting customer relationships, and capture

the community's interest. As your presence in the community flourishes, so does your brand recognition, lending ease to your sales and marketing endeavors. These elements work harmoniously, reinforcing one another over time.

The process can also yield valuable information to help improve your company across the board. This is why I encourage all of you to fill out the Great Place to Work survey to share your opinions. Even more importantly to celebrate where we are as an organization and let ALL of Groupe SEB know how proud we are to be Groupe SEB USA!

USA

“The profound value of a great organization is its commitment to the welfare of its employees, one which Groupe SEB USA strongly upholds. In the past few years, we have gone through some remarkable changes which has elevated our mindset as an organization. In addition to the several curated activities focused on employee well-being, inclusion, and work-life balance, the transparent and approachable nature fostered by our EVP/ CEO, has ultimately created a positive and trusting atmosphere trickled down to every level of the organization. I feel privileged to be part of a company that truly values its employees and continually works towards creating a positive workplace culture. As we celebrate our achievements, let's remember that our success is a result of our collective efforts and the strong commitment we have to each other. Together, we will continue to make Groupe SEB USA a great place to work.”

Luis

VP operations, GS USA

“To me, a GPTW is a combination of two main things. First, where you can develop yourself and secondly where you have a good work life balance and I find that combination at GS USA. I have been able to grow here thanks to the challenges of the market that are always present. We all know the Supply Chain has been in the spotlight for the last few years, so we need to be resilient and our ability to transform the organization has been driving our present and strengthening the foundation for a brighter future. In terms of work life balance, I really like how flexible the company is in regard to hybrid work allowing us to use the time in a more efficient way with very productive results.”

"Our organization has evolved so much over the years. For those of us who have been here a long time, we have experienced many different organizational environments depending on the global or US economic situation and/or the influence and involvement of the leadership team. The ebbs and flows of the organizational culture have made working at Groupe SEB USA after all these years consistently feel new and fresh. We have always been heavy influenced by our corporate headquarters, but we have also found ways to make Groupe SEB USA uniquely ours. We have evolved from very limited workplace flexibility to one in which flexibility is embraced. We have evolved from an organization where conflicting points of views were not valued to one where discussing different points of view is now expected. Recently, the culture of our organization has evolved from one mainly focused on business results to one which values people and their contributions to the business… financial and otherwise. It is the people who increase the value of an organization. The organization must give back to its employees… whether financial benefit, personal or professional development, ability to balance work/life, etc.

I have given quite a lot to Groupe SEB USA over the years. I have also received quite a lot back from Groupe SEB during that time. In my mind, it is the balancing of the giving and receiving which has made and continues to make Groupe SEB USA a GREAT place to work."

Consolidating our relationships

From September 13th to the 16th, we had the opportunity to approach our Master Distributors through an event that, in addition to promoting our products, sought to recognize the value of our commercial partners, offering them this unique space dedicated to celebrating and strengthening this strategic alliance.

With the idea of honoring our Hispanic essence, the event was held outside the United States, specifically in the Colombian coffee region of Quindio, where they were able to appreciate the Latino culture in an environment of vast flora diversity, fauna, and flavors.

At this event, we had the opportunity to update our clients on new product developments, sales opportunities, and market insights. All this was achieved with creative activities that allowed distributors to see and experience innovative materials, the advantages of new technologies and processes. This space was not only a great occasion to share our more than 85 years of experience that IMUSA has preserving culinary traditions and manufacturing cookware, but it also allowed us to hear the distributor's feedback and know-how of their local markets.

The final objective was achieved, we encouraged and closed purchase orders through thought-out negotiations while assuring personalized and unconditional support which differentiates us from other brands. Strengthening this channel through open and constant communication allows us to actively react to market changes and be the support that our business partners need.

"In my 30+ years working for GS, I've seen many changes. Some for the better. Some not. But GS always rises to the occasion. "Making lemonade out of lemons". I've enjoyed my years here because of the multicultural experiences, the work-life balance, the opportunities that have been provided to myself and my family, and, of course, the people. The people make GS! I've made lifelong friends here. While nothing ever goes in straight lines, the positives have outweighed the negatives for me. It's not a job if you enjoy what you do. I consider myself very fortunate."

"Working for Groupe SEB USA has opened the door to incredible opportunities, not only professionally but also in terms of personal growth. It has allowed me to understand a developed market like the American one, introduced me to talented individuals from all corners of the world, and constantly pushed the boundaries of my capabilities. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who makes it possible for us to be here and encourages us to step out of our comfort zones and transcend boundaries. The people,

“Having been with GS for nearly 10 years, I’ve been fortunate to work across departments with different teams. I’m always impressed by the diverse range of talents and backgrounds of people in this company, with their varied career experiences. That diversity makes for a creative, dynamic work environment. And yet for being part of a multinational corporation, our office feels like a small company where one person can make an impact. I appreciate the challenge and look forward to what the always evolving workplace will bring.”

There are a lot of great things to mention when it comes to working for Groupe SEB Millville, but the thing that keeps me going is the sense of teamwork we have here. In my position, I have a lot of autonomy, but I never feel like I’m working in isolation. The feeling I get from my department and others is the strong sense that “we’re all in it together”, working towards a common goal. I really appreciate that.

“GS USA is progressive and mindful in building a diverse and inclusive culture. They organized different events for Pride Month and Mother's Day, for example, showing their willingness for more inclusion, empathy, and care for everyone working here. My team is also incredibly diverse, and I love working with people from all walks of life, identities, ages, abilities, and experiences”

“The things I like the most about working at GS USA are the people and the relationships formed over years...Also, I really enjoy the products.”

“First thing that comes to mind that I like about working here in Canonsburg is that we are like a family. I can talk to anyone at any level of the organization and feel comfortable saying what I have to say. We don’t always share the same opinions, but we consider what everyone says and move forward helping however we can toward a common goal.”

“I’ve been working at All-Clad for over 13 years and am happy to tell people where I work. The high standards and American craftsmanship are a real source of pride.”

“The past 3 years at GS have included so many great memories, professional growth as well as the development of outstanding relationships.

I’ve enjoyed the flexible hybrid schedule we’ve adopted, the awesome samples sales (which are still very exciting for a newbie) and the fun office activities and outings. Looking forward to what the future holds!”

“Groupe SEB's commitment to creating a positive work environment, fostering collaboration, and providing multicultural exposure is truly great. It's not just about the work we do, but also about the environment in which we do it. This unique combination of factors sets Groupe SEB apart as an employer, and I am immensely proud to be part of this team.”

“After 25 years of working at the Canonsburg facility I can attest that it was a family atmosphere when I started, and it still is today. Even though the company had grown exponentially over the years, the family-oriented atmosphere has remained. The PEOPLE is what makes the difference and makes this company so great. We have a brand that we believe in and a company that we want to work hard for. You don’t find that everywhere.”

“I feel simultaneously supported in my work, but also challenged to reshape my thinking, processes and learn new things. If I need help, I know I can ask without being made to feel embarrassed, and I will get the help or learnings I need. The entire company comes together to achieve our sales goals, which takes every single department. The collaboration and inclusiveness here, especially as an offsite team member, has made my experience positive.”
