P&G CAPITAL CLEAN-UP PROJECTS WITH GROUNDWORK LONDON 2012 Groundwork London organised teams of volunteers to help London shine at eight P&G Capital Clean-up events held in six boroughs throughout May and June 2012. Over 250 volunteers armed with cleaning equipment and bags of enthusiasm carried out a whole range of activities across the different sites including weeding, planting, litter picking, scrubbing railings and sweeping. Two other sites also benefitted from significant P&G investment which will go towards securing a range of spatial and community-based projects.

“Groundwork London are delighted to have been involved in the P&G Capital Clean-up. It’s great to have improved London in readiness for the Games, and in doing so, finding ways to connect more Londoners, get people volunteering, and making people feel more proud of this great city.” Ben Coles, Director, Communities and Local Partnerships, Groundwork London
