What is an Environmental Management System (EMS)? An Environmental Management System is a formalised approach to managing the environmental aspects of your organisation. You can identify the different environmental aspects that arise from its activities and put measures in place to control and improve these aspects such as procedures, monitoring, targets etc. The overall aim is to achieve continuous improvement of environmental management.
