THE FIVE FRIENDS

Once upon a time, there were four friends: Lily, Heidi, Lexi, and Cassie. The four of them had been friends since the age of three.

One day, they met a new girl named Flora. She was really nice and often played with them. But one day, Heidi told Lily, Lexi, and Cassie that she thought Flora was a liar and a thief because she had seen Flora walking quietly through a dark alley and had

never invited them to her house. So, they all accused her of being a thief and a liar, and told her never to play with them again. But one day, they saw Flora quietly walking through the dark alley and decided to follow her. To their surprise, they discovered that she was being bullied every day and that she didn’t have a home.

They told Heidi’s mother about it, and after a week, Heidi’s mother helped Flora get a new home. From then on, all five of them became really good friends.

My Journey to Ooty

Irecently visited Ooty with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience. We took a bus to get there, and the bus ride was very exciting. I saw lots of green trees and beautiful flowers along the way.

Dreams and hopes

reams are what doesn’t let you sleep.

So chase them before you weep. Don’t let dreams just come and peep. Hold them deep.

Dreams are a masterpiece of life, which you are destined to find. Dreams are guides. They guide you towards the light. Dreams cause you to fight.

Hope is an anchor in seas.

It guides us through the storms with ease.

It’s the courage to face the mysterious shore. It’s about believing in a future that is worth fighting for.

We shall find our way through dreams and hope.

So let hold onto this tight rope.

Let’s not let our spirit droop. And always find the strength to cope.

When we reached Ooty, I was amazed by the big lake. We went boating on the lake, and I threw stones into the water, watching the ripples with delight. My mom and dad smiled at me, and we had a great time together.

Next, we visited the Botanical Garden, which

was huge! I saw many colorful flowers and trees, including a big tree with roots hanging from its branches. It was fascinating to explore the garden and learn about the different plants.

We also went to the Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in Ooty. From the top, I could see the whole town, and my dad said it was like being on top of the world. The view was breathtaking, and I felt proud to have reached the top.

The food in Ooty was delicious. We ate idlis and dosas, which were yummy! I loved trying new foods and drinks during our trip.

Ooty is a beautiful place, and I want to go back again. I love the hills, the lake, and the gardens. My family loved it too, and we all had a great time together. I’ll always remember my journey to Ooty as an amazing adventure.

The power of honesty

Maryam Naeem VB

Imran was a little boy walking through a crowded street, trying to make his way back home from school on a Friday evening.

While walking, he found a wallet on the floor. He quickly grabbed it and tried to find its owner, but couldn’t. So, he went home and slept, tossing and turning, thinking about it all night.

The next day, he woke up and went for a walk outside after breakfast.

He found an ID in the wallet and was overjoyed. Now, he ran around looking for the man. After some time, he spotted him in front of a store, asking people if they had seen a grey

wallet. Imran ran as fast as he could and returned it, saying, “Sir, this is yours.” The man looked relieved and grateful. He thanked Imran and left. Even though Imran didn’t get anything from it, he felt happy and proud for having helped someone.

The next day, someone rang the doorbell, leaving gifts and a letter at the doorstep. Imran read the letter, which said: “Thank you for your kindness. Even though this might not be much, I hope you are happy and understand that you are a hero.” Imran felt good—he had finally understood the power of honesty.

Moral: Honesty is the mirror of one’s character: clear, pure, and never broken.
