Sustainable tourism in Bocas del Toro can have both positive and negative effects. On the one hand, it can contribute to environmental conservation, promote local culture and generate employment and economic opportunities for local communities. However, increased tourism can also lead to environmental degradation, loss of cultural authenticity and pressure on natural resources if not managed properly. It is rucial to implement sustainable tourism practices to maximize positive benefits and minimize negative impacts.
