Integral elements: Are there integral elements that often form key elements within your work – in other words how do you best generate and create your own designs/imagery? the way in which I best create my design is that I doodle out my ideas on to layout paper and develp them first before going on to the computer. I find I work best with small breifs and have better outcomes than if I was to do a longr breif. Success: What are your strengths? Where have you been most successful? What do you think was the reason for that positive experience? My strengths are coming up with plenty of ideas and developing those ideas into better ones. my most successfull projects are Yamaha posters and the FSC annual report. I think the reason for these breifs being possitive is because I came up with the slogans / colour schemes quicker there was less experimenting with other design ideas. Personality: What are you interested in, what are you about? Do you feel you have been able to introduce your personality and interests in your work. In what creative direction do you want to proceed in the future? I am mainly interesrted in branding logo design and poster advertising. This is because these can ben quicker breifs than a editorial and I find I work better in these situations. I do feel i have been able to introduce my personality and interests in my work, as I have a colourfull personality and keep myself up to date with the curent trends.

First I came up with the slogan 125 years of making noise now its your turn. then I exlplored onomatapia for each instrument or vechile. My desing started of very simple and straigt I decided they needed to be more excting and fun, i played around with putting type on angles and using colour even adding rude comments for a moment. My final designs are much brighter and eyecating than my development work you can see my jounry has improved as I went along.

I started by reseaching other beauty identitys on behance and found that the used alot of flowers and patternspinks and what not, i doodled a few ideas outt, and then finally came up with the final out come aa simple but bright logo eyecatchign something that can be played around with alot if needed.

Carlisle College is looking for fresh, ideas for their next marketing campaign. The main objective is to obviously attract more students to the College and stimulate interest in the courses on offer. Aimed at 16 - 20 year olds who are either contemplating staying on at their current school, so need to be persuaded to consider the College as an alternative option, or perhaps they may have gone through 6th form and are now seeking new challenges and qualifications to boost their career prospects. Part of the campaign will be a series of ‘Open Day’ type events. In the past the College has tried to cover all courses at each of the open days. We have already agreed that the next campaign will consist of a series of 3 events concentrating on different types of courses. Open day 1 - Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Science, Computers and IT. Open Day 2 – Teacher Training, Higher Education (A levels/ GCSE’s), Learning Support, Business Admin & Management. Open Day 3- Sport & Travel, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Hair & Beauty, Hospitality & Catering, College of Arts. They don’t want to use anything from their current marketing campaign or prospectus - this needs to be a completely new creative idea. This type of project is usually budget based, but for this exercise we have raised the barrier so the sky is the limit. Advertising, printed materials, direct mail items, give away promotional items indeed anything you want to consider that would appeal to the target audience remembering that the main aim, as with any organisation we work with, is to increase awareness and develop new business - new business in this case would be students enrolling on courses.
