PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM BALLET JAZZ

MODERN CONTEMPORARY

Grier Dance includes an auditioned co-curricular program for young women interested in dancing professionally. Dancers enrolled in the program attend their college-preparatory academic classes in the morning and spend the remainder of their day, from 12:30-6:30, in the dance studio. During this time, girls in the pre-professional program take ballet, modern, jazz, and contemporary classes. These dancers join other students in hip hop, tap, and stretch/strengthening classes for a total of 30 hours of dance instruction each week. No matter the genre, a dancer in our pre-professional program will be well prepared for college and company auditions. Grier’s pre-professional dancers have been selected for prestigious artist and choreography showcases including: 
