Over 70% of solar residences have an annual income of $45,00-$150,000, and were overrepresented in the study’s solar sample. Solar buyers still skew wealthy, just not as wealthy as in the past: residences with annual income of $100,000-$150,000 were the largest solar demographic. In conclusion, it can be seen that far more of today’s solar buyers are from the middle class. Thanks to the increased affordability of panels and options for solar loans, solar installations are no longer just for the rich.
